Of the three, I’d put my money on Sherlock Holmes. However, I hope we are all surprised.

I’ll never play the redemption game, but I’m all for it from a business standpoint. If it makes AP money that they can use to further pins, that’s all that matters to me. They have made two great pins and I definitely hope to see more!

Kaneda says it’s Hot Wheels.

#116 4 years ago

Yes. Just announced on his podcast.

Quoted from T3quila:

I thought the consensus was Sherlock Holmes?

They teased keys. Kaneda says Hot Wheels. Makes sense with the keys but who knows... Kaneda did say they are working on two games.

Quoted from whitey:

I like it !

It might turn out to be a cool pin, but there is a lot of competition with some great themes coming. I think it will be a tough sell.

Quoted from Rdoyle1978:

I missed the tease - how are keys related to Hot Wheels? Gotta say I’m disappointed it’s not Sherlock Holmes (yes I know I’m probably the only one lol) but this is way left field!

Car keys. That’s the connection to Hot Wheels. They may still be doing Sherlock Holmes. For what it’s worth, he said they are also working on a non-licensed second pin.

Didn’t they already go the steampunk route with Houdini?

Quoted from Charlemagne1987:

I’d be stoked for a Sherlock Holmes from AP.

Assuming they learn from their first three releases and combine the best of all of them, I think AP’s next release could be fantastic no matter what the theme may be. For example, the made big strides with the animations on Hot Wheels.

Quoted from Charlemagne1987:

My distro just heard from AP that the original 300 deluxe models are SOLD OUT, but they’re going to add 200 more

Is that really true? I don’t know how they can do that when my guess is a lot of the people that bought one of the 300 is because they thought there would only be 300.

#1044 2 years ago
Quoted from NightTrain:

I was always taught to be a man of my word. It’s much more important than money. If I was AP and I said the limited run was 300, then it’s 300. It doesn’t matter how many people are lined up trying to hand me money.

I completely agree. It was a short sighted move. Trust has been eroded so what will happen with the next pin and the initial stated amount of LEs? No one will believe what they say and no one will know what to think. They made the decision on the 300 and now they need to live with it.

Quoted from MikeS:

American Pinball is just really bad at this. It might be a great game, but that's the most boring teaser trailer ever.

I agree. It’s long and nothing happens. And they announce people that “star” in the game that I have no clue who they are. Maybe I’m out of it but who is Kerri Hoskins? Am I supposed to be pumped about her inclusion?

#2166 1 year ago
Quoted from Coz:

Exactly. A “teaser” trailer is not the full reveal. It’s just enough to gain interest and get people talking

I get what you are saying, but I don’t think the teaser was done in a way to gain a lot of interest. I’m not being critical to be critical. It’s just my opinion. I don’t think the trailer was well done.

Quoted from Viggin900:

Am I the only one seeing the connection here with the art, theme, and odd title?
[quoted image]

Yes. I think so.
