Of the three, do you have a favorite?
Quoted from ThePinballCo-op:I have a feeling that AP is a company that everyone wants to buy from. They have solid products, great rulesets, fun layouts, and they pack their games and charge fair prices. The next game could be the one that blows this company up (in a good way).
I've got Houdini and Oktoberfest and will definitely keep API in mind for future games.
Quoted from VALIS666:I think Oktoberfest is my favorite of their first three. So many modes, great humor and theme, and the playfield is one of the most interesting and jam packed in pinball. Because of the amount of shots and modes it probably doesn't click well on location but it's a monster at home, love it. Try to check one out if you can.
I'm really enjoying my Oktoberfest. The rules and shots are so much fun. The times I can connect the left orbit to a perfectly timed upper right flipper shot into the beer barrel lock just feels so damn satisfying.
Really glad I picked one up.
Maybe I'm missing something but Barry provided great online support when Houdini was a new(er) game and I was saddened when he left for JJP. Glad to see he's back at AP. Looking forward to seeing what's next from them.
Quoted from TreyBo69:The magic of pinball is how it creates a playable diorama. A pinball machine about pinball is...just a pinball machine without a theme
Also it already exists[quoted image]
Hardest pinball machine to search for on Google. Great backglass though.
Quoted from bobukcat:Houdini is the still the best game AP has ever produced and that's a hill I'm willing to die on.
I'd have to put Oktoberfest right up there with Houdini. Both are great games but very different from each other. This is coming from a person that initially hated the Oktoberfest theme but the gameplay sucked me in and now I'm a fan of the theme. I guess it goes to show that a good layout can overcome a negative initial reaction to a theme.
