I liked it a lot more than I thought I would since I'm not a WWE fan. Even though I spent over an hour at the booth, I only played two full games and a couple partial games. The pins were always full and I didn't want to be a pin hog .
The WWE drop targets in the middle reminded me a little of mustang, but 3 is better than 5 in my opinion and leaves the play field a little more open. I really prefer drop target banks on the side of play field, but variety is good.
The u-turn shot is satisfying and has good speed.
The wrestling ring with the controllable slings is a lot of fun and different. Only time will tell if it has lasting appeal in a home environment or will lead to too long ball times. Multiball in the ring was a blast, but it almost seemed easier to keep multiple balls in the ring than a single ball. Maybe I was just getting lucky collisions.
Ultimately, a couple of games is not nearly enough time to scratch the surface of the rules (which are still early anyway). The best I can say is that I think it has potential, but this won't be my first NIB because no matter the play the theme isn't in my sweet spot. However, if you are a WWE fan I think it could definitely be a winner for you and I think it may pull in some players agnostic about the theme.
