I see a ladder in the back.

#452 9 years ago

Theory....the ring uptop is a upper playfield with flippers?

#453 9 years ago

I just hope the theme is integrated into the game. I love me some Walking Dead but it feels like a generic zombie theme with the Walking Dead logo plastered on it.

Maybe I'm different but I can enjoy any theme as long as the game plays well and the theme integrates in properly. TAF is one of my all-time favorites and I never enjoyed the show.

Quoted from lllvjr:

I new back at expo the wrestlemaina, game of thrones and one other title were in the pipeline from stern

And can you share what the 'one other title' is

#455 9 years ago

Maybe some WOF slingshot flipper Shennanigans are on this game

I'm not saying it's the same WOF flipper design just saying maybe it's "different" from normal like WOF was

#456 9 years ago

First impressions are:

Theme - meh
Art package (assuming pro model cab and translite) - fugly, hopefully more options/choices are available
PF - interesting, especially the ring, if the figures do more than just shout at each other and rip their own tops off (trash toys) it could be a gameplay winner.

Should exceed the general low expectations and may even surprise in my opinion, ymmv. Real concern is if this becomes another low selling orphan pin and code is abandoned before it reaches it's full potential, what are the odds on that happening?

#457 9 years ago

Wonder what Rarehero and Aurich are going to think of this ...

#458 9 years ago

Ok so who thinks the hobbit or Woz is a better theme than this? Give it a chance. Personally would rather have the bella twins in my game room rather than half rotten bodies, or in fact a homeless 'dude' in a cardigan looking at me.

By the way I am a walking dead fan, like the big lebowski and think Woz and the Hobbit are awesome looking games.

Are pinheads too sophisticated for wrestling? Could be really FUN.

Haha, Greg's my friend, but we hardly have a hive mind. Guessing he's with me on this one though. Utterly uninterested. It's a new pin, so I'll follow the news and be curious, but I don't care beyond that.

Translite looks gross.

Quoted from PinPatch:

Haha seriously? I'm going with "massive hordes of people".

I wish stern was smart enough to release at least a picture of the playfield.

#461 9 years ago
Quoted from sosage:

So I'm just not sure who most of you are going to actually impress by dissing wrestling, while polishing your Lord of the Rings/Wizard of OZ/Star Trek/Spider-Man/Tron/Fill-in-blank

Pure poetry! Well said! lol

#462 9 years ago
Quoted from Aurich:

Haha, Greg's my friend, but we hardly have a hive mind

Interested to see if you had heard the news yet and your thoughts - thanks

Uh, that would be two coats on the TRON please...

What about G.L.O.W?

From the blurry pic it kind of reminds me of WPT
Let's hope the game is fun with a not so good art package

Do the shadows on the wall light and the pinball machine match up, machine looks added to me, are we being played?

This pic looks very suspicious to me.

#469 9 years ago

sad to say this is not a photoshop....
the reflection of translate on playfield glass and ring in center of upper playfield look like the real deal...
and the photo of the playfield in the up position is clearly not photoshopped and the elements are unique and match the playfield as seen from above...

uggh stern you suck cuz I wanted Jaws or Maiden...
But I do want to play wrestlemania, and I hope it is great...I just won't own one...

#471 9 years ago

Stern could make a pin out of 100 dollar bills and people on this site would still bitch about it. Let's see how it plays first before we throw it off a cliff.

A currency themed pin might not be so bad in comparison..

Red and yellow Hulk Hogan LE!

Hillbilly themes appeal to me. But I prefer motorsports.

It's just weird as shit how the plunger rod has that warning label on it.

Whys the warning label weird, all NIB sterns come with that?

Hoping for Monster Jam?

Quoted from blue95:

Hoping for Monster Jam?

Now that would have hit the spot!

#480 9 years ago

If Stern's goal is to get kids into pinball Monster Jam would be an awesome theme to do it with.

Swampbuggies FTW!

That's the weird part

It's like an unboxing of a brand new game. The label is there, packing foam... what a bizarre picture for a game that's not shipping or in production

#483 9 years ago

The packing foam is what costs you the extra 2k.

#484 9 years ago

We all should get one
Cause Stone Cold said so !!!

The Rock was on Star Trek Voyager.

And he used his finishing move as I recall. LOL.

#487 9 years ago
Quoted from blue95:

It is pretty popular in Australia, they have it on cable every day and you can buy the PPVs.

No.

#488 9 years ago

I suddenly want to play DE Royal Rumble or, even better, the old WWF Wrestlefest Arcade Game. Ya know, when this stuff was "the thing" for many of us 30-50 year olds, the big portion of pinball's demographic. That BG doesn't even look like wrestling. Looks like MMA.

#489 9 years ago

I didn't think that Stern could come up with a game with less appeal than a Mustang.

I was wrong.

#490 9 years ago

Has the lead programmer been identified yet (as in really doing the bulk of the coding)? Might make things more interesting, also how long have the extra, rumoured, programmers been on board at Stern....long enough to measure their effectiveness for the day one release code?

#491 9 years ago

That art work has a lot of dudes. I thought I read the developing code name for this machine at stern was "the dude". Man, I hope it plays well and that Aurich makes a "Hardbodies(ish)" back glass.

Quoted from PW79:

They probably boxed it up to freight it to Vegas.

I helped fix up the scan of the old WWF proto translite, and that's as close as you'll ever see me to a wrestling game project.

#494 9 years ago
Quoted from Mr68:

I heard wrestling was fake but I don't wanna believer it.
No China, no Roddy Piper or Capt. Lou Albano or Iron Sheik and I'm out.
(Is there a sarcasm emoticon?)

yep im out too, if theres no Brutus "the barber" Beefcake...

#495 9 years ago
Quoted from Aurich:

I helped fix up the scan of the old WWF proto translite,

Yeah, we're going to need your help again on this! "Time Now". lol

#496 9 years ago

Why?

Did they get the license for free?

I'm surprised this isn't being more well received. Doesn't it appeal to the same group of people that still listen to Def Leopard?
