Quoted from BrewersArcade:This is a pretty unbelievable story. My family and I have been out in the Midwest in our RV over the past two weeks while I completed RAGBRAI (a 454 mile ride across Iowa over 7 days). On our way back home to MD we drove through Chicago and I of course wanted to snap a couple of pictures at the Stern factory. Keep in mind this is a Sunday and the factory is closed. Well while we are parked in their lot, George Gomez just happened to be sitting in his car getting ready to leave after working on an upcoming pin (sorry, wish I knew!). He waved and asked if we were lost and I explained that I was simply taking some photos as I was a fan and owned a couple of Sterns. George took it upon himself to ask if our family would like to check out the factory…on a SUNDAY…on his own personal time. It turned out to be the luckiest day ever because we were able to be safe (all vaxxed) and no employees were in the building. So yea, we got an hour long personal tour of the factory and areas I assume no one else had seen (I saw Gary’s office!) personally escorted by the legend himself, George Gomez. I wasn’t able to take any video or photos out of courtesy except for a couple for personal use but I am able to share our group photo. George was beyond kind to my family and it is certainly an experience I will never forget. Thank you George!!! An even bigger fan!!!! Continue to support Stern because seeing the amount of detail that goes into the process gave me a whole new appreciation for the company.
