Quoted from Frax:The skull jaw mech in No Fear. It has literally ZERO gameplay interaction, it's only there for looks,
To be fair, it does tell you to play better.
Quoted from tamoore:Getaway supercharger. WTF does it do, really?
It fully interacts with the ball and is visually stunning. Not to mention the sound it makes. Much more interactive than the castle turrets on MM.
Bouncing topper on AFMR.
It has no effect on gameplay or the ball and must be complicated because in many cases it doesn't work at all.
Quoted from tamoore:You interact with it? Or, do you just watch it shoot around there a few times, before you get your ball back?
Yeah, I take the glass off and stick my fingers in there and see how fast they get broken. I thought you originally said "ball interaction".
Haters gonna hate, but I just picked up my second Getaway after a three year absence and i'll take the supercharger over tie fighter on a spring or mouth opening groot anyday!
Quoted from TheLaw:Would you take tyhe supercharger over the space supercharger is more accurate.
At half the price and more fun, yes.
Quoted from TheLaw:Half the price? You got ripped off.
OK a third the price. And I'm sticking to my original posts that it is still a more interactive feature than that stupid exploding castle.
Quoted from greenhornet:what do you guys think about ....
the runaway train: cactus canyon
Kinda like Mick on a stick, but you don't get to hit it.
Quoted from tamoore:Earthshaker. That sinking building didn't make the final production machine. They thought it was ridiculous too.
Then people paid extra to add it to their own games.
Quoted from tamoore:Some people like ridiculous and complicated.
And last night I had three balls going mach 90 in the supercharger and they were a blur. I guess that seems kind of ridiculous too.
Quoted from AlexSMendes:Sometimes I really don't know if you guys are being serious or trolling each other!
We're just killing time at our menial jobs.
Quoted from AlexSMendes:I'd really like to see that in action.... is there a video somewhere?
It's dope. Just a classic example of a pinball company cutting corners.
You really need to feel the shaker going to get the whole effect.
Edit- Shaker motors, no real affect on gameplay. lol.
Quoted from tamoore:Also, not really complicated.
But think of the software involved to break plaster off the walls at just the right time.
Quoted from superJackpot:Miss your first shot at knocking the mist ball off its path and time goes even faster.
"missed multiball"
Metallica premium has the triple whammy. You got the sinking cross, the hammer, and if it wasn't for the ball hitting his feet, you could include Sparky too. Thank goodness they didn't waste resources on items like VUKs or a real subway. I know, it does have the under playfield ball lock.
Quoted from jgentry:I don't know Odin, the cross mech is really simple and it doesn't add much, but the hammer and sparky are both pretty freaking cool.
No doubt about that! I just noticed the interaction with the ball part isn't really there.
As opposed to the Getaway supercharger with three balls in it going crazy.
