    Hi pinsiders.

Just wondering if anyone has any info regarding the modfather.
My issue is I’ve ordered mod’s for my hobbit 6 weeks ago. I received a generic email immediately that said we have accepted your order and will be in touch when sent.
I have since sent 2 emails asking for progress with no response.
Can anyone advise if they are shut for Christmas etc.

    #2 5 years ago

Sounds similar to this thread: https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/modfather-of-pinball

Modfather responded quickly, directing the OP to his website with additional contact info (also noting that he didn't receive e-mails the OP said he sent [perhaps spam folder, wrong address, etc.?]).

Turned out the OP didn't read the listing properly as it was for a painting service, and the OP failed to send the part to Modfather.

I have bought tons of stuff from Modfather and the communication is always on point and I have never had an issue.

    #4 5 years ago

I can vouch for him he's legit & a good dude , most likely just having some communication issues or something

    #5 5 years ago

I can vouch for him as well. Always has been great with communication and the quality of his products. Do remember that many of his things are custom paint jobs that require you to send him the part(s) to be painted. The holidays may have delayed him a bit (I know that I ran into delays getting things shipped to people due to being out of town.)

Modfather is a good guy and friend.
Have you tried calling him at the below phone #?
Im sure this will get resolved shortly

Stand-up guy. Maybe it's the holidays, maybe a family emergency. He's gone above and beyond for me many times.

    #8 5 years ago

I know this guy very well. Absolutely no need to worry. One of the best guys in pinball. Very honest and one he'll of a guy. I'm sure there is an issue somewhere that was out of his control. Perhaps he did not see your email or maybe he was sick who knows? But I would ask for you to give him a call. He will make things right. Im 1,000% sure of it.

    #9 5 years ago

Call the guy before you start a thread if you are that concerned. He probably took your order money and went on vacation. I'm sure he has a family and another job and it's the holidays.

    I just woke up, its 8 am , where's the fire ? What , where....who ???

    #11 5 years ago

You had us all scared. We thought something bad has happened to you or you ran off with all of that hobbit mod money to start a new life in some exotic land. You know someone posted this at 4am this morning and you did not respond until 7:59am. The nerve of some people.

Glad everyone is in contact now. Modfather is a great dude. Buy with confidence from him.

    #12 5 years ago

He will make you a mod you can't refuse.

Without even knowing his order, I can guess. He ordered some gameblades ( Tilt Graphics) from my website with other mods from myself ( Hobbit PinCup ). Jose from Tilt Graphics went on vacation for 3 weeks and his associate takes over in his presence. I generally wait to receive the mods from tilt and ship my mods together to save on shipping. I always do this practice when shipping international to save money for the customer. When I am waiting on someone else, or waiting from product from a distribitor , it is out of my hands until, said product I get in. I make and pack mods every single day, from morning till night....everyday, no lie. I dont take breaks or leave people hanging. If you are looking for a quicker response, just call me. I would have picked up my phone at 4 am to let you know where your pinball mods are.

Just wondering if anyone has any info regarding the MoDfAtHeR aka MOD???????????

My issue is.... I’ve ordered a bowl of rice with two eggs 60 weeks ago. I received a generic bullshit text immediately that said someone named NEMO was hard at work accepting my order in the kitchen and the rice and eggs will be ready shortly.

I have since sent 201 emails and 450 text messages asking for the progress off my rice and eggs with NOOOO response!

Ahh the timeless look of leopard.

    #19 5 years ago

Stay off Pinlock5’s back. He was just concerned about his order.
Modfather is probably the best seller on Pinside. He has gone above and beyond for me on more than one occasion. He came to the rescue within a couple hours. Win-win for everyone

I, too, love me some Modfather. They corrected a few issues and he even answers his phpne! Great products too.

But was it at 4:00AM? I feel like a new standard for customer service has been started in this thread. All kidding aside I love all of my mods that my wife bought me for Christmas from the Modfather.

All is resolved. I was waiting for PinLock5 to mail in his Hobbit Book for custom painting. I assumed it was delayed due to the holidays. I do custom paint from all over the world , and sometimes people get excited when they see an item custom painted for such a low price. Click "yes" thank you and proceed to checkout. To help with potential confusion , I put a special note in Blue Font to highlight that custom painting requires you to mail in your piece to be painted. So I understand , no biggy. Happy New Year ...............The ModFather

Guys.... I've done many transactions with the modfather (as recently as yesterday) and for those that know me you know I call it like it is. I don't care who you are or how "scene" you are if you're a jerk off you're a jerk off. I've told those who consider themselves to be long"in the game" and lifers to hit the road if I think they're not being upfront.

If for any reason I thought the guy was shady or his product was weak I would say it asap. From my experience this guy does great work, is very responsive and wants to make sure you're happy as a customer. He's one of my top picks when it comes to Pinball aftermarket. Buy with confidence!

A great guy!!!! Takes time to develop cool mods!!!!

Chuck is a stand up guy. He will bend over backwards to make his customers happy.

I've never met him, but I don't think seeing Chuck bent over backwards would make me happy at all.

Add me to the list of customers who are very pleased with their Mod Father purchases. I have bought several mods from him for my WOZRR and my THBA and I am very pleased with their quality. His playfield figures are especially nice. I really don't think you can go wrong with doing business with The Mod Father.

Can anyone advise if the MOD Father is shutdown for Hanukkah, Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, or Sukkot?

Last month he said he was really busy at work and with mod orders. I'm waiting on a few things from him and hope to get them soon. He does great mod work and I buy lots of stuff from him. It seems like most modders are getting overwhelmed with orders lately. The hobby is picking up steam and if the modders have a "day job" too, then delays will happen. I'm also waiting on Cliffys and he is a few months behind. There are a few other orders that I'm waiting on and some more that I will place this weekend that will probably be backordered because of TPF. Seems to be the norm now ... or at least until summer hits. Might as well expect long lead times.

    #30 5 years ago

He just sent me something in the mail today. The guy is a beast and does amazing work. Can't recommend him enough.

    #31 5 years ago

He works a lot. Some delays arise when he is waiting on supplies of some sort or another. He likes to ship an entire order at once instead of piece meal wasting time and postage. He always does top notch work, nothing second best.

    #32 5 years ago

Modfather is one of the most honest hard working pinball enthusiasts in this industry. Great guy who truly enjoys the hobby. Loves what he does and gets great personal enjoyment out of improving other people's games. Buy with complete confidence when dealing with Chuck AKA the Mod Father.

Had a tremendous great experience with Chuck doing some upgrades on my IJ and MB figures. He even called to ask about colors and style and make sure I was ok with it before proceeding. And of course the work came, and it was phenomenal. In particular the IJ stuff - those look like a million bucks!

It's all good. Indy definitely fought planes. Three chrome pop bumper caps? Not yet. But there's still time!

Some people do not like other people selling items with nazi shit on them, or people showing the nazi shit off.
It's been a big thing here before with some pop bumpers with Swastikas on them.

Aah, got it. I figure it's accurate to the movie, and I can remove the swastikas when I sell

    #40 4 years ago

Nazi's are pretty much the central antagonist in all 4 movies. I understand when people get upset glorifying the Nazi flag. But in this case its a prop on a pinball machine.
If you dont mind looking at it, i wouldnt worry about it.
    Modfather does great work.

    #41 4 years ago

The artwork matches the movie, and most people want the authentic look. There is actually an option to order the custom paint on the plane without the swastika if it offends anyone.
