A while back I posted a thread showing some of my “lost designs“. These are topper designs that were one-of-a-kind custom builds or done as examples of what can be produced. They are designs that we are *NOT MAKING* due to licensing issues or because were designs built to a client specifications…

However I thought I would post a few of them so people can see the interesting directions we have taken on some my work.

Star Wars is probably my all-time favorite since I was a kid. As soon as the Star Wars pinball was announced I knew I wanted to do something cool for myself. The machine itself is a collage of images so I wanted the topper to be more of a solid “bracer” on top. I decided on doing the Emperor as sort of an evil centerpiece and chose to make a 3-D molded title to add more depth and light variance. The lighting affect capped off the design perfectly.

The Metallica Sparky topper was a labor of love. I wanted to make it blend well with this awesome machine and it’s unique and powerful art. It featured a 3-D design, custom sculpted and molded center face, molded 3D electro balls and multiple light sources.I was really happy with the final lighting, shape and texture of this one.

I was contacted by a client who has become a good friend of mine about making him a Willy Wonka topper. He specifically wanted to concentrate on the pinwheel design. So I came up with a negative cut rear pinwheel and used color changing lights to keep that festive feel. I also decided to frame it to match the scheme of the machine and hopefully make It blend well. I really wanted avoid the obvious “mountain of candy” stuck all over and instead went with the cleaner look to emphasize the unique pinwheel background.
