My top right tower solenoid isnt working even in test. Double checked wiring and didnt see anything of not. Any suggestions?
So my back tower isnt tilting even in test mode and i dont have a manual. Anyone tell me which transistor controls it
So i have a lotr LE and the back right tower isnt working. In test the coil has 60vac on the thicker wire. Doing ohm test i have 4ohms through the coil. I checked wiring from coil to J8 and had continuity. I changed Q7 and tested the transistor prior to install. Tower still does not rock. Im at a loss
Quoted from DCFAN:Have you checked the diode for the tower? I believe it is under the playfield rather than on the coil.
Oh really. I didnt know. I didnt see one on the coil
Quoted from Jgel:The switch on the left VUK - shire is not registering 50% of the time all of a sudden. Tried to bend arm a bit but no luck. Any way I can clean this or should I just replace the switch and move on?
I see people using...

or
https://www.marcospecialties.com/pinball-parts/180-5209-00
the first is what is on now. Any preference?
I use the fork
Anyone have a spare soilders of the dead figure? I bought a game where the previous owner super glued the figures on and got finger prints and you name it all over jt and a white haze. Looks aweful. I bought another set but it only comes with 3. Not looking to spend another 60 for only 1 figure. Anyone able to help me out
Quoted from Lamprey:I can't help you with a figure, but are the finger prints something you can buff out with some novus or something?
They like used a heat gun or something and melted them too. No idea what they were thinking

Yeah its actually a reimage from the plastic below it
Also making path of the dead pieces. I can do it without figure mounts as well. One with a river path etched in and one without. Buddys helping me on these and the sword
Quoted from Jarbyjibbo:Wood as a medium, kudos to you. You don't see that too much anymore. Looking forward too seeing it finished.
Thanks looking to paint it

The path of the dead is available 35.00 and sword needs painted and fit test
Quoted from Orbian:I'll take both mods when ready! Are you cutting the clear plastic yourself or just buying already cut and modifying with the artwork?
Cutting my own. Has zip tie holes and slots to give you more adjustments. At this time im Only selling the plate. Figures are getting harder to find and i dont wanna search for hours per unit to find sets
Show caseing some mods a colleague and I have been working on. The path of the dead comes with holes to mount the figures or in a cheaper alternative without has multiple etching options. Sword will be available soon, one pictured is a prototype finish will be a smoother crisper paint

Quoted from red-line:Sword hilt looks amazing! Any idea on price point?
Not sure yet, itll be reasonable. Itll come with 3 ,new plastics, 4 standoffs, sword and be hand painted. Looking to shave some cost on wood type and painting time. Should be ready to roll this week or next
Quoted from Nihonmasa:If you could provide it unpainted for those of us skilled with brushes and airbrushes, it would also reduce cost and your burden
Will do
Quoted from pinballjj:robertstone( or anyone else) would it be possible to supply along with the etched path plug and play wiring for the interactive POTD figures?
Figures youll have to track down i can take pictures of how to wire it interactive or you can always just tap into the GI
Quoted from red-line:Looks great, I'll be buying a sword hilt this weekend. Do you think it's possible for flying pinballs to hit it? I'm wondering about the paint chipping or the edge pieces breaking off
Its got a good size acrylic under it that should keep the ball from flying
Quoted from red-line:When I installed the sword from rpgmodels, I also put super bands on my flippers. I played one game to test them out, and got closer to valinor than I've ever been.
I had collected 5 gifts, been to all the modes, and beaten 2/3 MB's. I was one shot away from TABA and one shot away from TT multiball for the second time.
Not bad for a throwaway game just to test the flippers!
Love mine looks great

Looks like your plastic on the left is on backwards
Quoted from Digduglus:A few more questions -
Are the pop bumpers supposed to be weirdly shaped? trying to figure out if they are like that naturally or if mine has chips out of it.
Any suggestions for a good topper?
Planning on Palantir mod, any other amazing mods I should seek out?
Thanks again
Go on the pinside shop theres a killer sword mod my buddy makes
Quoted from Digduglus:Thanks for the suggestions everyone!
Got the color dmd and palantir ordered!
is it worth it to upgrade speakers? Speaker recommendations? Loving this game
I love my sword mod. Speakers are a hit and miss

Looks bad ass man. You’ll be hearing from me
Quoted from PinballCharlie:Finally, FINALLY got to making this mod I have been wanting to do for the past three years. The factory Orthanc always looked like Stern punted on that particular model, so I spent the good part of my weekend doing a total redesign. Wow, was it tough modelling around such strange angles and limited space, but I am really happy with how it is shaping up!
These pics represent an older build - the lighting will change quite a bit as well as some details and quality of the model itself. I'm still debating whether or not to use red lighting (as pictured) or white lighting.
The final will be a super simple install hooked up to the aux 12v circuit for lighting. Any feedback would be awesome! When it gets closer to production, I'll start a thread for it.[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Count me in, looks fantastic
Quoted from insx:I used an adhesive felt pad behind it. The material was a little hard and it caused a few misses at first but it seems to have softened up after a few dozen games.
I think swinks makes some brackets that adjust your switch angle and helps eliminate most air balls
Quoted from November:My small path of the dead mod. More to come[quoted image][quoted image]
Count me in
