It's been a long journey, but I'm in the club.

I don't watch much competitive pinball, but has Lord of the Rings ever been used? Seems like it would really slow things down. Top players on a four player game, seem like that could take hours.
I'm honestly not even a huge fan of figures, but these additions were my first mods. I also plan to also upgrade the other figures to include the weapons. I assume Stern removed them to prevent them from falling off on routed games. I have everything ordered, which includes the daggers for Frodo, Pippin, and Merry, plus the staffs for Gandalf and Saruman.
"Army of the Dead" mounted between the lanes on the Path of the Dead.

"Twilight Frodo" added to the Ringwraith

Quoted from Kronlar:Looks like this one has one strong flipper coil, one standard, and then a strong in the tower vuk. That thing rockets balls back to you. Plenty of air balls coming off palantir target too.
I think I have the original flipper coils. The previous owner put stronger flipper coils in mine. Send me a PM if you want to purchase them at a discount to PBL.
Quoted from chubtoad13:Nice! That’s great you’re enjoying it so much. I’m sure you’ll have another game shortly. Just seems to work that way.
I can’t wait to dive into this one. I’m going in mostly blind. I’ve only played LOTR a couple dozen times. I’m trying not to spoil the fun of discovering the game by reading rule sheets or watching Bowen videos.
That's always hard for me. While I enjoy discovering new things on my own, I also like knowing what shots to shoot to make said things happen.
Quoted from Gogdog:Ok...for $8 I'll bite...but how did you attach it to the top of your pin?
I will probably redo it at some point, but I happened to have one of those cheap acrylic stands on hand. I cut off the top and drilled some holes in the back to mount the sword. Probably took 10 minutes, but if you look at the back it shows. If more room above your machine, you could also spend an additional $8 and just get a sword mount.
Quoted from chubtoad13:Mine does the same too. I was thinking about trying a larger rubber. But like deegor said, there doesn’t appear to be any damage
I stretched a rubber between the three posts. My issue now is the ball tends to bounce off and fall back into the VUK.
Quoted from DCFAN:It is a common trap area. Pinbits makes a plastic that prevents ball traps on the right side near the tower:

Are these available at Expo?
Quoted from Daditude:Does anyone have this path of the dead figure, or know where I can get one?
Pic below for reference:[quoted image]
If you are just looking for that one, I think I have it. I bought the playset and only ended up using the other two.
