Brown with white trace, got it. And the connector is a single inner female connector? I just don't see one floating around in there. I remember putting a shaker in my original IM two years ago and found the connector immediately.
There's not much in the cabinet to miss. I'm really stumped here. I just don't see any loose connector. Nothing. I thought maybe it would be hanging from the head. I even took the backglass and led backboard off and looked around the head but couldn't find a thing
i've never been to graceland, on the elvis machine i own...i can get every goal except blue suede shoes..any suggestions on how to do it???????????
Quoted from HOOKED:Grinder your pulling our shaky right legs right ?
Haha no buddy, that's the cord from the actual shaker motor
I'm looking for the female end in the cabinet that plugs into this gray make end from the shaker
Maybe it's only in the gold edition although I asked Stern directly and they said both versions were shaker compatible
Thanks you guys. I'm at a loss here. If we can trace where it starts and where it's located, that would help a bunch
Thanks Hooked. I too have that board installed above my shaker. Could you trace where the wires from the connectors on the board are going?
Ok RebelGuitars and I figured it out I think.
Yea Hooked, I have my shaker board inverted from how yours looks but I just used the factory pin connectors. The factory female seven connector only had six openings, not seven like the shaker board pin required so I had to dig the plugged piece out.
The factory female seven pin connector did not fit perfectly on the Cointaker male seven pin at all.
I tested the coil in the service menu (#4) and I got a slight vibration so I think I'm good to go. I won't know for sure till I get my brassed ramps and the flaps riveted and the wireforms back on.
So frustrating of Cointaker to have this extra connector and give instructions but make no mention that some pins may have their own connectors negating theirs.
I think this mystery is solved. I'll report back once the game is operational.
If anyone else wants to chime in with what they find, with their own pics please do.
Quoted from dasvis:FYI Elvis guys
- PBR has some Elvis stuff available in his "specials" section.
PBR as in Pinball Refinery or Pinball Resource?

Pinball resource
The parts art nos full plastic set and apron decals...both are priced twice normal sets cost...but hard to find.
Quoted from BMHouze:I am going to look at Elvis.
Any common problems?
If your getting a route Elvis.
Hotel targets tend to bend back causing unregistered hits.
Left ramp upper weld tends to break.
Jail house plastic needs a shock absorber or it will break.
Elvis track "j" plastic tends to break.
Change out the magnet cores if they are mushroomed.
Flippers need to be rebuilt after 5k plays or the upper gets mussy.
Other than that rock solid.
Please someone add full tracks or just a few to the code.
I am looking at a HUO from a very reliable seller. (he made a custom Rush pinball hint, hint)
I just like to know where to pay special attention or find out if some parts break commonly that may be hard to find.
Can you change the music similar to Metallica? It would be nice to program in Frank Zappas 'Elvis has just left the building' for the end of play cycle.
Quoted from Grinder901:Hooked,
I bought your apron mod. Are there instructions on how to install this on the apron?
Well your halfway there...ya need windows. You bought the do it yourself kit. I have raw aprons with the widows just contact me. Of course you'll have to have it powdered to match.
I am learning Elvis a few games at a time.
I really notice the lack of light coming through the right ramp.
At least the left has good lighting. The right looks like elVIS as the top letters don't get much light coming through.
Who has addressed this?
Quoted from HOOKED:I have thought about adding EL paper under the ramps to make them pop.
I'll buy it if you make it.
I wonder if I could have someone cut triangles into my aprons for your apron mod.
I think you would be better off going with a raw because of the posts needed to mount the lenses.
Let me know if you need one.

Well hell I just spent the money getting this apron brassed. Maybe I'll sell it and buy yours but then I have to get yours brassed again
It's all back together! Now I just need finish the apron. And of course beg someone to colorize my ColorDMD.
The Elvis mini display is perfect in the middle of the upper playfield.
Love the Las Vegas sign as well. Thanks Hooked.

I'm having Joey at Pinball decals make me a custom brass/gold upper playfield flipper. That should be ready soon.
And now it's time to rock!
Today marks 1 week with Elvis 'in the building'. I managed to complete all 5 modes but couldn't manage to get to Graceland. Also spelled jailbreak and couldn't capitalize.
Damn this game is hard (3 ball).
Although I am way closer to finishing Elvis over my other title (Nascar) that I have had over a year.
I have new rubber on the "to do' list.
Any spots that then to be difficult to get at?
Also I am going to go with the harder hotel and open up the top exit ramp.
I get quite a few airballs to the top of the TCB plastic over the targets. Not anywhere else though.... I am going to have to have a good look at the C target. Seems to be the hardest to get/register (hope it's just some dirt).
Wife is crabbing that the dog has a really long post and doesn't pop high enough for her taste (hopefully some more cleaning maybe a little lubricant).
Otherwise, looking forward to a colour dmd in the future. Leery about how the dmd Elvis footage may look (going to have to see it in action or have programming to move the dmd to Nascar if it doesn't work out).
Something you guys might want to do....add a small clear plastic washer at the top of the dogs pole. My first elvis spent time on route and the top of his head showed wear. My huo was perfect so I put that plastic cushion at the top so it doesnt hit that metal washer.

Thanks I'll add it tonight. My hound dog has a bit of wear I think.
I was thinking graceland or vegas skyline....
Nice.
Looks pretty tall.
I don't have that kind of ceiling space.
I have 6.5" of clearance.
I really enjoy my Elvis Gold. I lucked out and traded for a NIB plus cash late last year. I love Steve Ritchie two playfield multiball mind challenges. Trying to manage multiple balls on two playfields, at the same time, is a mental stress test. GOTLE, and WPT and Elvis with four flippers and two playfields are all sisters from a single Stern Father. As someone said, the upper pf flow through is smooth as a gravy sandwich.....
Rear glass channel you can get from pinball plating and more already brassed. Not sure about the backbox piece.
I am wondering which dmd upgrade will look better
Color dmd or a high res non color
The dmd video looks pretty grainy and the fade out lack of the back of the head could make some work for a high rez.
Either way I am going to need to see some pics of both options before I upgrade.
