* This is not Spooky game 3 which will be revealed at TPF.
* This is contract manufacturing game 2 (Domino's was 1)

Haha..dope!

#3 7 years ago

That layout is looking sparse. Can't fully judge until I see some gameplay of course, but it's really wide open.

#4 7 years ago

Is this a novelty game?

#5 7 years ago

I like the theme, but why are there no playfield toys?

#6 7 years ago

Looks awesome. Left ramp in an "Avatar" like location. Cool outer loop

#7 7 years ago

Very Nice artwork....simple, clean design....looks like fun!

Im sure there will be more opinions in every direction!

Nice Work!, Spooky!

#8 7 years ago

Pretty cool, glad they announced it early.

Wish there was a bit more on the playfield but I know they will make it work.

I'm in.

#9 7 years ago

No. No way. Would have sold my soul for Godzilla, but I'm not even interested in playing this, and the big multiball is one of the most annoying things I've ever heard? NEEEEEEWP. Epically disappointed, was really hoping for MST3k or Godzilla. Oh well.

The artwork is nice. Unsure about that layout...looks like a whole lot of standup targets?

17
#10 7 years ago

1 ramp and no playfield toys

#11 7 years ago

And what's the deal with that blurry section to the right of the ramp?

11
#12 7 years ago

I don't really care about playfield toys. My favorite games didn't have them (Taxi and all the classics). Injection molded plastic stuff really adds zero to gameplay. This has a newton ball, spinners, a ramp, jets... the only thing missing is I wish the three bank up top was a set of drop targets

NOTE:

This game isn't for pinside. This is for a market The Pinball Company feels they have a need for. Family friendly simple games for rec-room buyers with kids. This is NOT meant to be an "A" title.

ALSO NOTE:

Also this is not Spooky #3 -- this is a contract game for The Pinball Company.

You can now proceed to do what pinside does.

Thanks for clearing that up. Given how simple it appears, wonder what the pricing is going to be like..

Mods:
ebay.com link: 2008 Hallmark The Jetsons George on the Dog Walk with Sound

ebay.com link: 2010 Hallmark Keepsake Ornament Rosie The Robot The Jetsons

ebay.com link: Hanna Barbera The Jetsons 2 Collector Action Figure 6 Pack

ebay.com link: HOT WHEELS THE JETSONS CAPSOLE CAR 2015 HW CITY 1 64

Initial development had the hot wheels capsule car behind the captive ball sort of like bumblebee in transformers. The car just didn't hold up well with bashing. Then it was considered to be like bart simpson and sit above the plastic and move when the captive ball was hit but this got cut for whatever reason, too.

Correction: This game is to keep Spooky in business.

FYI This is not Spooky #3, there's still more coming from the fine folks in Benton, WI ! This is a 'contract' game similar to Dominos... Congrats to Pinball Company and Spooky for bringing a desired theme to fruition. Looking forward to playing it !

That's kinda cold.

You sir... are 100% correct.

You will be able to purchase the game via The Pinball Company, OR Spooky Pinball... it's a simpler game designed to be easy to understand, and as mentioned... it's a product of The Pinball Company, mfg. by Spooky.

We're thrilled to be working with Nic and his family. Life is pretty great! We'll talk about this more on the Feb. 1st podcast.

Contract game or not, congrats on getting another game out the door!

A Costco exclusive!

#22 7 years ago

And I just have to throw in that the art looks f*cking fantastic.

#23 7 years ago

"Orbity" insert needs a double t.

#24 7 years ago

Art looks great. Plenty of car and robot toys available to put in there if you want..

#25 7 years ago

No playfield accoutrements!?

#26 7 years ago
Quoted from Concretehardt:

No playfield acuchaments?

With the market The Pinball Company is aiming at, I'm sure keeping costs down was a high priority.

#27 7 years ago

The ramp return needs a bumper or metal piece so the ball doesn't destroy the ramp plastic

Any idea on cost for this one ?

#28 7 years ago

Cabinet artwork is great. The playfield artwork is good but kinda bland right by the flippers. Usually that area gets the most attention both by the artist and the player.

Put me in the interested to see gameplay and price category.

Yup that picture is still of the prototype game. Still tweeking it LOL

#30 7 years ago

Pricing will certainly be the interesting part for a game like this.

Very nice looking machine regardless.

#31 7 years ago

Another good looking game. Congrats to team spooky. I really want to play this.
Simple and fun.

This should do well for the home market of non hardcore pinball people. I.e.:the casual player.

#32 7 years ago

Congrats Nic, Brooke, and Dan! Game looks fun, can't wait to play!

#33 7 years ago

Wait, where's Bible Adventures?

I wanna recount!

#34 7 years ago

How much?

#35 7 years ago

Art looks good! But I can't help but think about when Gottlieb did something similar in the 90's and how unsuccessful it was. I hope this proves me wrong.

#36 7 years ago

Looks great! Simple but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

#37 7 years ago

Nothing wrong with simple; as someone mentioned earlier the games I love the most are the early 80's pins, and they didn't have massive code and gadgets that to me only serve to block visual play. Just my opinion nothing more except, congrads to Spooky for getting another out on the market.

#38 7 years ago

AFM is pretty darn simple...

Quoted from mrgone:

And that's exactly what it was developed for. Nic came to me [and ngoett] to develop this game because at the time all he had to sell was Walking dead, Metallica, ACDC, etc. Believe it or not, people with small children don't want those themes in their house. He wanted something easy to repair IE reliable, fairly easy to start multiball, but hard enough to keep interest.

at the same time, I wanted to make the rules interesting enough to not be a vacation America or "the pin" [not counting the new spidey - I think it's on par with what we have here playwise] and be interesting for real pinball players. That wasn't an easy thing to balance.

#40 7 years ago

Will this be the same price point as sterns home game 3900$ with shipping

#41 7 years ago

I wonder if the frosted plastic is to diffuse lighting. Or is it blurred by Photoshop?

Quoted from musketd:

I'm gonna guess no. Probably $5500.

"I know . . . thanks for noticing", said Clark Griswald to his father-in-law upon presenting his great accomplishment.

#44 7 years ago

I think is looks great for a one off special order game.
Congrats Spooky.
Now lets get that full fledged Scooby-Doo out with all the bells and whistles.

#45 7 years ago

At right price, I'd be in on a Jetsons

#46 7 years ago
Quoted from Mr_Tantrum:

The alternative was to say nothing and let it potentially go through to production as per Stern quality control.

No need to make me out to be the "villian" as I am really looking forward to seeing more great things from this manufacturer with what looks to be a solid groundwork and track record in quality end product.

#47 7 years ago

Why does it have coin mechs if it's a home game

#48 7 years ago

Looks like a $2499.00 pinball machine. Very little on that playfield.
