    Just saw this thread. What a coincidence!!

    I'm pouring my slab this Friday for my
    Diy pizza oven.

    Already started building my dome.
    It's the therapy ball version. Gazillion
    videos on youtube.

    Ordered all my materials for.the concrete pad and base
    2 weeks ago. Gets.delivered Wednesday

    In between restoring my Meteor I've been working on
    this. Very excited.

    Have to keep wet sheet on dome so it cures slowly and doesn't crack

    Once cured and my base is done i will transport dome to base
    and cover in rockwool then chicken wire and then a concrete
    render.

    I'll post when I'm completely done.

    Almost done. Some progress pics. First time laying brick or block.
    Pretty straight. Lol.
    Will be moving dome to place on top in about a week
    and then some final layers.

    Almost done . Did 3 curing fires last 3 days before I put on
    Rockwool and chicken wire and a final stucco coat this upcoming week.

    Temporary small deck til next year when I can afford
    to build a composite deck. which will be much bigger.
    Hahaha

    Also splitting and storing a shit ton of free sugar maple underneath
    I got free off Craigslist to use next year once seasoned.

    Been cooking pies for about a month now.
    Have been using a poolish recipe and love
    how the crust tastes .

    Extended the landing with some
    Mexican talavera tiles .

    Got this from the Aussie dude on YouTube who sells ovens.

    800 g 00 Caputo flour
    800 g water
    2.5 g ADY active dry yeast

    Mix until all wet. Cover with saran and let sit at room temperature for an hour.
    Then put in fridge overnight.

    Take out in the morning.
    Add 360 g 00 Caputo flour
    Add 30 g sea salt.
    Knead and beat dough for
    20 mins til it's smooth as baby's
    Bottom.
    Put back in bowl. Let sit at room temp for an hour.
    Then divide dough into 280 g doughballs . Put in proof box and then in fridge 6-8 hrs.
    Take out of fridge 90 mins before cooking.

    I've been using Newman's marinara for my pizza sauce.
    Haven't tried making any yet.
    Making the dough has been fun to learn though.
