    Quoted from RyanStl:

I don't care what people think. I love pineapple on pizza and so do three of my kids. In fact, it's the only way I will eat pineapple

I grew up eating pineapple on pizza in the 80s I love it. The Howie Maui from Hungry Howies was one of my dad's favorite pizzas. Bacon ham and pineapple with garlic butter flavored crust always brings back good memories.

The little lady is out of town so I whipped up this pizza for myself. Just pepperoni, with a blend of whole mozzarella & white cheddar.

Made a huge batch of Sourdough. I don't know if I mentioned it before, but all my bread, pizza crust, ect. is made from Sourdough, I haven't used store bought yeast in over 10 years.

I did 2 pizzas (12 oz dough each), I only snagged a pic of 1; its a 3 cheese baked on a pizza stone. I also made 2 sub rolls for sandwhiches. I did 16oz. Dough for 1 and 12 oz. Dough for the other. I'm going to go with 16oz. Dough from here when I make sub rolls.

This was my very first attempt with a dedicated pizza oven. Still a lot to tweak and I can def use better ingredients, but I am super pleased with the results!

It’s been about a month since I made Pizza, got me a new book and some new sauce.
Made the crust using this fancy flour ground at the mill in town.
    Turned out really good!A8FAF451-E12B-448F-8EF0-14F94F2A80CE (resized).jpegA8FAF451-E12B-448F-8EF0-14F94F2A80CE (resized).jpeg31FA1916-CE60-49A0-A484-CA6F154F23D6 (resized).jpeg31FA1916-CE60-49A0-A484-CA6F154F23D6 (resized).jpeg3073E018-613B-46AD-BA75-2EAE7F082FBE (resized).jpeg3073E018-613B-46AD-BA75-2EAE7F082FBE (resized).jpeg

One of the things I struggled with when learning how to make pizzas and pizza dough is is consistency.
    Tonight’s Pizza.
    Very nice.

So I bought a thing yesterday. Anyone happen to have one too? Would love to hear some feedback on it. Couldn’t pass up for $40. Don’t mind the messy garage. I need to clear it out

Looks like you got a winner. $40 vs $200 new and the reviews are pretty good.

There was a good review on amazon with sometips for using it. ~80% 5 star reviews is pretty good if most of them aren't fake.

Tonight’s pie, cheeseburger pizza. Ground sirloin, chopped onions, whole mozzarella, white & yellow cheddar. After baking the final ingredient goes on, habanero dill pickles. Wow!

    FINALLY!! (ghetto pizza)

This afternoon I finally got around to buy gas regulator, propane flask and a pizza spatchula. Or wtf its called. Spade?

Went with cured ham and blue cheese..

Very happy with the outcome, although a bit wet in the middle. I think too much tomato sauce.

I'm starting to see sub-$100 Oonis on Marketplace. Tempting, but I need another cooking toy like I need another hole in my head.

Homemade dough, neapolitan pizza cooked in the amazing Gozney dome.

Looks quite small but was actually 12".

Covid purchases taking up too much space in the garage. For that price, do it. The Ooni, not the head thing.
I actually need to break mine out soon to justify it.

Had a friend over, so we needed some pizza. Made my first white pizzas.

It's with mozarella, ridderost (norwegian cheese that smells like my shoes after 10 hour hike), blue cheese, mushrooms and I spread some 'nduja over it. Best one so far! Im gonna take a break from pizza now, atleast for a week or so. Hehe

Nothing better on Father’s Day than making a few pies - except perhaps getting pizza socks (and a T-shirt matching my newest pin)

I also treated myself to a few dads day pizzas! I haven’t broken out the pizza oven in a while, so pleased how well these came out.

Do any of you use a bread machine for dough? I've always used a mixer/bowl/counter/hands but am exploring how versatile a bread machine would be.

    #643 10 months ago

I made a batch of about 10 little 12" pizzas in my pizza oven over the weekend and it turned out really well, but sadly I didn't take any pictures. Made the dough in our bread maker on the (dough: pizza) cycle (kneads for about 20 min and then raises for another 30), then put in a lightly greased bowl in the fridge for about a day and it seemed to work well for me on a busy weekend.

I used this simple recipe and this is now my go to for quick and simple dough. This yields about 4-5 dough balls for 12" pizzas:

    1-2/3 cup water
    3 teaspoons of table salt
    5-1/3 cups 00 pizza flour
    2 teaspoons of yeast

Used the pizza dough function on the Ninja blender once. Was very doughy

    #646 10 months ago

I didn't proof it or anything. I'd say it did do a good job with the special attachment the blender came with

I use a food processor with cold water from the refrigerator. Mix for 50 seconds to a dough temp of around 77f.

What ???? ...no July 4th pizza parties ?

    #649 9 months ago

I made a few pies over the 4th of July holiday. And it was also my first time to lose one. It stuck to the peel so when I went to launch it it came right back out with and flopped on the ground. But I knew it was bound to happen at some point. I remembered to take a few pictures this time during the process though.

Apologize if I already mentioned…If any of you haven’t tried cooking on a steel it’s insane how good of a job it does. Recovery time is next to nothing and the consistency of results I’m getting is pretty awesome.

I still fire up the Ooni (did last night!) but when it’s cold outside or too windy (or winter) the Atlas Steel in the oven is exceptional.

Top rack, 550F or whatever your oven will hit. Preheat the steel for 15-30 and then turn the broiler on high for another 15. Cook as you would on a real pizza oven, although temps tend to be a bit lower (I can get around 700 surface temps) so it takes a couple of minutes longer. Best $150 or so I’ve spent in a while.
