Quoted from lowepg:Lol at the state of pinball when "after I PLAY one" isn't even considered to be a poll answer!
I'm still interested in TH but will not even consider buying one until:
1. I play one.... That actually works. When WoZ came out, I drove all over creation looking for one to play. I found two, both were turned off due to them either having 1/2 or ALL the lights malfunctioning (old led board issues).
2. Enough reach the market to trust that there's no repeat of the old JJP QC issues (light boards, GI lighting, PF, etc) OR some new one introduced with all the advances in this model
3. There's one actually available to SHIP once I pay for it.
Seems like common sense for most purchases, but will sadly likely be received as RADICAL in the world of boutique pinball...
Why laugh at the state of pinball if not playing isn't an option? Shouldn't that be a good thing meaning we can buy a pin, play 500 games on it and resell it typically without issue. And 500 games @$1 per play = $500; so even if you take a loss all is not loss. So unless you're statement was meant to be a positive one, I'd say the hobby is in a great state to play sight unseen.
Edit: that said. I personally will never preorder again but that has to do more with code than anything.
