I'm hoping there will still be le's left in September cause that's the soonest I'll be able to make a deposit. If not I'm hoping jjp decides to make a standard because I haven't seen it mentioned by him.

Quoted from mummite:I switched was #881 LE to --> #30 SE
I need to see the dragon head before I decide on the gold head or keep it red.
How do you guys know the number of your smaug edition? Or do you just send the number you want it labeled as?
Quoted from BillE:I'm going to stick with the LE, I like the darker earthy tones and color scheme better than the red/gold Smaug edition. I know I'm in the minority there. I might upgrade the decals but not sure yet. Also I don't like gold powder coat, it doesn't look like gold and looks fake, however mirrored gold / brass would look sweet as hell if they did that instead.
We haven't seen the powdercoat yet, im thinking its gonna look awesome. Its not the same powder as MMr.
Quoted from PinballRulez:I cannot find the post, but Alex posted some examples of rims that have gold powder coating and they looked very good. He said the gold trim on TH SE is made up out of different coats and a nice clear coat on top. Should look nice and shiny Still would like to see it though.
Yeah I can't wait, IAAPA can't get here fast enough. I hope they actually do the reveal there.
Quoted from Cheeks:This is one of the primary things I'm trying to find out before I decide whether to switch. I really HATE the MMr gold, and I have even been moving away from actual bronze on some of my other games. That said, the Smaug armor color sounds cool and I like the cabinet better on the SE. However, the bronze sounds cool too. I'd really like to see (or hear details about) the 2 finish colors before having to decide whether to switch or not. The flyer images are not enough to judge anything.
BTW - if you switch, do you have to get the gold Smaug? This sounds kinda dumb to me (again...without having seen it) so I might want the SE with a red Smaug.
Jack said on Google groups that you could have the red or the gold smaug for the smaug edition.
Quoted from FightNightFZ:When is the release date? Never though of asking when I pre-ordered.
Late December to early January.
