Just paid mine off, I started the payment schedule early last summer, the payment thing made it easier for me to buy an expensive pin such as this, you can put me down but I don't know my number, I just know it's 130 something.

I had one to drop this week as they are having a baby so number 360 THLE is free for ordering if anybody is interested as I will have to do a refund. I might have another number 233 THLE as I was saving this number for a customer who has the same ECLEWOZ number. PM me for details please.

I'm looking forward to mine. Changed to SE with glossy cabinet decals. Selfishly, I hope everyone waits until it's complete and done. The SEs will be the true limited editions. I have my doubts they will sell 1500 of them between now and the end of the year but once it's proven a great game the LEs will fill up to it's capacity of 1500.

I agree the new pricing is out of my comfort zone. If you are on the fence, I suggest patience is your best friend. Jump out of line now and the same pin could cost you potentially 2K more*
*Early paid-in-full buyers got their LEs for $7500 delivered. Now convertable to SE for free.
Same pin will cost you 9K + shipping in late December

I have little doubt that the Hobbit will be an awesome game, but I couldn't swing TBL & Hobbit, so hard decisions had to be made

that's the gimmick to keep pre orders from cancelling but people are still dropping out. if i saw 9k worth of stuff on the machine i would be ok with that, but i don't, not even close.imo

I switched to Smaug SE with no regrets. But I wouldn't judge anyone for dropping out, it's their choice what they want to do with their own money. It just moves me further up the production line 
I'm still not sure how the personal numbers will work out on the Smaug SE. As I understand, they're only making a set number of them & shutting of new Smaug orders after 12/31/14. So there will be a set number made, they just don't know how many at this point. It doesn't make much sense to transfer your old LE number (say #1500) to Smaug if they only produce like 400 of them. They should just assign the Smaug #'s based of it's production run (### of 410). Would give the Smaug SE's a more "limited" feel to them. Just my two cents. I guess this hasn't been officially settled yet.

I called & talked to Jen. Since she gave me the choice, I just switched from #1200 LE to #58 SE.
