I was one of the VERY earliest people to buy a WOZECLE. I admire Jack. I believe in his products. But I am disappointed in the price structure for The Hobbit. I FIRMLY believe those who fronted Jack in the very beginning of this business should get a better price break, like $6,500. Yeah, that would mean less profit for JJP. BUT . . . what he loses on us, he can make up on others who are buying the first time. We should be rewarded for two reasons.
1. Without our prepaying for WOZ I'm not sure Jack would have been able to establish this start-up business (maybe he could have . . . I don't have access to his bank accounts). We 'loaned' him the money in good faith so he could try his hand at making fantastic pinball machines. He apparently succeeded! We should be given a 'dividend' as a token of appreciation.
2. From the very beginning, I felt I was a part of this venture. Somehow, looking at the price tag for TH makes me feel I'm no better than any other Joe out there who wants one of these. Had I been told as one of the 1,000 who shelled out money in the very beginning that my next pin would be at $6,500, I would have most likely 'bit' and put my name down. Not wanting to break my 'chain' of SAME NUMBERED JJP pins, I would have probably kept on buying each new pin as they came out for a long, long time. When I calculated $8,000 for a pin, no 'loyalty points', and really nothing else special other than being able to have the same number, I had a reality check. Suddenly, I know I shouldn't spend that kind of money on more pins.
I am disappointed in that I will probably never see or play TH. And now I feel post-partum from JJP. I did my part in helping him get WOZ off the ground. Now, I must bow out.
