All,

Version 1.30 is now available.

Please note this is a DELTA ONLY update. It currently updates any base game code.

It can be downloaded from the following link:

Below is a list of the changes from 1.21 through the release of 1.30.

* More Into the Fire choreography.
* Improved Windlance choreography.
* Added Windlance awards 2x mode scoring, 2x playfield scoring, add-a-ball.
+ Barrel Escape.
* Arkenstone modes now properly restart after an add-a-ball event.
* REALLY scaled back Beast jackpot callouts.
* Mode won/ending fanfares unified.
* Fix Into the Fire stage 4 and victory lap lamps.
* Fix won modes not registering properly towards Arkenstone modes.
* Into the Fire scoring nerfed.
* Correct some stale blinking lamps.
* Defeat of Azog made a bit easier and higher scoring.
* Update mode hexicons.
* Ring Button can now be used during intial entry.
+ Book Mode Multiball. Adjustments control how many "easy" locks player
gets (light when Smaug locks light), and how hard it is to win points
and extra balls during Treasure Hunt.
* Fix drop targets popping back up after being hit during skill shot.
* Poppers hold off during extra ball and replay animations now.
* Cleaned up some book mode background speech.
* Arkenstone lit lamp effect should be more obvious now.
* Fix middle beasts' backstab.
* Smaug Multiball scoring nerfed.

* Start button only shows Credits 0 if in attract mode now (not in-game).
* With SLOW restart set, game can be restarted on ball 1 with max players.
* Match awards credits now if interrupted by start.
* HSTD entry now times out after 60 seconds of inactivity.
* Coin-in no longer cancels HSTD entry (could cause game to get stuck).

I think these last 4

* Cleaned up some book mode background speech.
* Arkenstone lit lamp effect should be more obvious now.
* Fix middle beasts' backstab.
* Smaug Multiball scoring nerfed.

Are the new ones between 1.30 beta and 1.30

Also, its 400mb bigger
had a look inside to see the differences and it looks like all the videos for Battle of the 5 armies is in there... So should be pretty close and in 1.40 firmware.

i just Loaded and was playing 1.3. Had Smaug multiball and beast multi ball stacked. I was having a pretty good ball with a lot of call outs and the game reset. This did not happen with 1.21. I will try another game and will see if it re produces.

Are the game resets with 1.3? not sure I want to update if there is a rest bug. Anyone else have rest issues with 1.3

No resets prior to installing 1.3. 2nd game on it, I had a reset mid game. Sending error log to JJP.

I have gotten 3 resets now. Did not happen before 1.3. Two of the three times were smaug and beast multi ball running concurrent.

Lloydjust PMed me back. Apparently the Hobbit Forums are reporting resets with 1.3 and he is sure Kieth will fix it

I put in the 1.3 beta a few days back and no resets for me.

Same issue , have got 2 Reboot with the 1.3 , with the 1.3P never reboot

I just installed the official version 1.3. I had also a reboot.
In version 1.3 test, everything was working normally.

Which also has problems reboot, passing the 1.21 code to 1.3 code?

I rolled back to 1.21 and opened a ticket. There is a bug in 1.3 causing a reboot. Opened a ticket with JJP

at this point if I'm running 3.1 beta over the last week with no issues, should I NOT install the new 3.1?

I'm running 1.30P beta with no resets and been playing it a lot !

I'll hold tight and wait on a 1.31 ? Fix.

1.30 was pulled down from JJP's website. Says a fix is incoming.

I try to downgrading back to 1.21 and i have a error message on the screnn ...........

Yes, 1.3 crashes and causes the game to reboot in the middle of play.

No resetting for me with v1.30. Several stacked Smaug and Beast multiballs on several games.

Were you able to play any of the videos or are you going by file names? JJP is encrypting files in delta updates now. Not on my PC at the moment to check.

you have got 400Mo more in sound and image, it's ok , no bug no reboot on the 1.31 , fine version i just make a good score

If you have 1.30 beta there is no reason to go to 1.31. I didn't.

I would just to he safe go to 1.31. I had several games on 1.30 before it crashed. I was over a million to the first time. It only takes minutes to update. Good job jjp on a quick fix. Love jjp.

A 1/4th of a GB bigger, so I'd do it. Keith fixed the 1.30 reset issue in 1.31, so I'd do it.

In my game here and no issues.

2nd game on the new 1.31 code update. Felt like an hour+ of straight multi-balls. Exhausting.

wow, that score...wow.

And it is worth updating, if nothing else, when you get the ball lock it makes a really cool noise that it didn't with 1.30 beta...

Like Lloyd said it's another 1/4 + gig. Lots more additions within.

1.30P just under 1.1G
1.31 just over 1.4G

So yes update it.

Wow! You must have been more tired than Michael Phelps after a hard swim!

I have yet to break 800k and most of my games are in the 200k range. Jeesh.

With the 1.31 code, I have a bug with sound.
In some parts, the sound is greatly reduced.

I have a 4g stick

How do I update this darn game. Only founds instructions for full install in manual.

Are you unzipping the file and then saving it to the thumb drive?

I unzipped it to the drive now there's a folder called hobbit_update on my thumb drive.
