Movie had some good parts that I was glad to see. Overall though a big disappointment IMHO. Books are SO much better! Great project! You sir, have a Heart of Gold!!

    Quoted from seatownpinhead:

I think the movie was as good as could be hoped for.

Really? They tried to cram bits and pieces from too many books into it, I thought. And don't get me started on Zaphod's heads. WTF was that?

I just found an old pic from the first towel day right after DA died. Camera was pre-potato.

If anyone can think of a realistic way to use that theme...
    Do tell.

Similar to drunk multi-ball on CCC?

    Quoted from zaphod:

This project is so cool that it makes my heads hurts!
IMHO the radio plays esp. the first three books of the five book trilogy are the best theater of the mind there is with the possible exception of Firesign Theatre. I loved the campy TV version though I have read Douglass did not. The movie did the story well but never grabbed me the way the radio plays or the TV version did. This project is so well done that it will be my third favorite iteration - books fourth, movie fifth and the '84 video game last. Now if I had one of these soon to be epic machines then I might have to bump it to first!

Interesting. The movie will always rank low in my book because of what they did to Zaphod. Stupidest interpretation of a 2 headed creature.
Had fun with the 1984 Infocom game until I got stuck. At that point I hadn't read the books yet. Still have the cool stuff the game came with though.

    Quoted from CLEllison:

Before I commented I felt it mandatory to watch the movie first. Yeah, the movie is not all that fantastic however you have done a stellar job incorporating the movie into the pin and the build itself is freaking awesome. I love the use of the old Pin2K tech and your custom ramps etc. It is truly in its own class!

I also was disappointed in the movie. Really bugged me the way they chose to portray Zaphod's heads. Books are fantastic though.

Congrats on your first show kaboom
