Very little gets my heart pumping as much as that damn 100,000 super jackpot shot on Fish Tales. Though, I think my vote is going to be for hitting ball on Myst Multiball in Bram Stoker's Dracula.

#52 5 years ago

Defeating the ringmaster battle on Cirqus Voltaire .

#53 5 years ago

I love the feeling of hitting the ball to the upper playfield after it has flown through the U-turn in BK2K. Even better might be the combo of upper playfield to lower playfield, hitting into the U-turn, then back up to the upper playfield.

volcano shot on congo.

#55 5 years ago

TZ multiball shot into the piano for the jackpot. Always satisfying

#56 5 years ago

Slot machine on TZ to start Lost in the Zone

Rip the spinners on Grand Prix! Nothing can match the satisfaction of a perfect hit and the clatter of a super fast spinning EM score reel. Better yet, watching your daughter manually spin them with the glass off... pure human joy that nobody can resist!

#58 5 years ago

Another one that probably few have gotten to experience is the ramp return shot on Mystery Castle....the only game I know where a ramp both enters and exits to an upper flipper.

The Picard move on STTNG comes close.

#59 5 years ago

It's not the greatest, but lighting, starting, and then finally hitting the Do or Die shot on Iron Man is a wonderful feeling.

#60 5 years ago

Like others, my vote:

Destroy the ring on LOTR, especially with the two ball. One ball hovering there in the ring, adrenaline pumping, nailing the final shot, machine going crazy, all great.

#61 5 years ago

Dialed In: Big Bang target (to finish a mode that's about to time out) and bouncing into the sim scoop to collect the sim card.
Quicksilver: Sweeping the bonus x drops and caroming through the lit spinner.
WH2O: Locking the third ball for vacation jackpot.
Family Guy: Hitting the Stewie super jackpot.
Stars: Sniping the lit star for special.

#62 5 years ago

Hitting the 3rd ball up the ramp for multiball on bk2k. Great sound and light show

#63 5 years ago

Any time you get the scoop with a Cliffy installed on Kiss...

#64 5 years ago

Million point shot on comet was great esp since it’s freakin comet.one of the first epic shots for sure.

Ohhhh...ya!!!!!

#66 5 years ago

I’m sure no one is going to post this but I love hitting down all three TWD drops on one shot.

#67 5 years ago

The skill shot multiplier on JJP PoTC then into the map hole.

#68 5 years ago

bank shot into GEM,

or in GOT the last shot to finish the mode and defeat Drogon for Targaryen...

#69 5 years ago

Vacation jackpot as already said and a very satisfying combo shot on Fathom from the cave trap then scorpion shot into lagoon trap

#70 5 years ago

Dialed In - Hitting the "Big Bang" shot at the end of a mode, then having the ball immediately ricochet into the Sim Card hole.

(A fist pump typically follows this sequence)

Agreed completely, including the fist pump.

Killing Smaug in Hobbit, melting the witch in WOZ and stabbing Dracula in BSD. Those are all super satisfying shots.

#73 5 years ago

Volcano shot - Congo

This should be purely about a single shot, not about a shot that is not that big of a deal but is when in a certain mode because points. Your answer should not take points into consideration.

#74 5 years ago

Anytime you hit the mode start shot on The Shadow

The Big Bang on a Party Zone

The Picard Manuever on STTNG

Stewie Super Jackpot... If you can get it lit.

My vote as well.

Vault on TAF, especially if its the shot for the "Not the Bermuda Triangle! Showtime!" multiball
Gumball on TZ? (although its pretty easy). Nice though, as you get a sweet animation, a Gumball machine unloading a ball, etc. What more could you ask for.

The TAF vault shot gets my vote as well, but could you explain the Bermuda Triangle thing? Is that a callout I have never heard or something? Only on Gold Edition?

#82 5 years ago

It's probably in part because it's one of the games that got me hooked on pinball, but I've always been a huge fan of the loop turbo combo on Indy 500, especially when you have triple playfield scoring going and have cranked the loop turbo value up to max for a 3X value of 90 million.

#83 5 years ago

Ngg is mine for Dmd

On solid states its.....sweeping the 4 bank drop targets and it flowing though the lit spinner on Quick Silver

#84 5 years ago

I always loved the jackpot on Secret Service

#85 5 years ago

Slammin it in the A hole on JP always gets me breathing heavy.

#86 5 years ago
Quoted from avspin:

The Picard Manuever on STTNG

That's not a single shot but it is the greatest combo in pinball history, I will give you that. NOTHING beats warp 9.9 and/or super spinner while you get locked on that combo! Pure pinball bliss!

Quoted from cantbfrank:

That reminds me Whirlwind has a contender: Get all three drop targets with the skill shot by launching the ball softly so it falls to the right flipper without hitting anything else then knocking them down with a perfectly placed single shot from that flipper.

On a Gottlieb Melody - Having all four extra ball holes lit and landing the ball in the left one. 4 Extra balls in a row!

Quoted from schudel5:

Ripping a spinner on an EM when it goes from 100 to 1,000 points a spin.

Grand Prix is my favorite spinner-ripper!

#93 5 years ago

Hitting the 4 way on TAF is extremely satisfying.

#94 5 years ago

Whirlwind Super Cellar Door: Not terribly difficult, but the thunderstrike countdown and reward pileup is sooooo damn satisfying!

Another favorite "not quite its own shot, but a thing you can do" is in Space Shuttle, when:
- ball flies down right outlane and saved by gate which then shuts:
-- "A i r l o c k... O p e n..."
--- *just in time to immediately rip backhand shot up spinner lane and strafe all 3 drops:
---- "(Blastoff effect!)... A i r l o c k ... C l o s e d ..."
----- *shout THAT'S RIGHT, B*TCH!!! for emphasis*

The Woodbury shot to start horde is amazing on TWD prem. Play that game with all the lights off. It’s the only game I’ve ever played that needs to have the room lights off imo.

#96 5 years ago

Not the best pic, but completing five passes of the horseshoe then hitting the drop target for 173,000 is one if my favorites from Nine Ball.

Not a single shot, but a nice combo- alpha ramp to beta ramp left orbit to Picard maneuver to gamma quadrant. Hitting the ramp from the upper flipper on STTNG always feels satisfying to me for some reason.

Super Jackpot Getaway: HSII. Magic right there!

I do miss that one. Great game overall just wasn’t deep enough to stay.

Quoted from floyd1977:

Not sure if it's a Gold only thing but if you start the 1st multiball with a vault shot instead of the chair you get a callout that says "Not the Bermuda Triangle!"...

I think the jackpot is doubled too.

Second only to "It has to warm up.. so it can kill you!" in my book, and hitting the vault (or Thing) makes such a satisfying metallic sound to boot.
