Hello Pinsiders...
For my 3rd(?) post, I've gone with GND wire...Wow! I bought my first pin last week, Getaway. It's in good shape, but a few things I am ironing out and learning about.
It's had the LCD mod prior to arriving here. Looks to be powered from J118 with an extended plug.
The thing is...There is a rogue wire hanging down in the back box. I've traced it (love pinball manuals!) and its goes to the Triac board into J1-4 (GND) and its meant to go to Power Board and J118-3 according to the schematics. (I already felt like a legend for getting this far)
But J118-3 already has a wire living there! That goes to the Accelerator board.
The game works fine with this "rogue hanging wire" but I assume I should really find it a home or the Triac board is missing a GND connection.
The schematic does seem to tell me that J118-3 has two GND wires...Do those plugs take 2 wires? Does anyone have any idea whats best to do? That Triac GND must be shared, if the game still operates and tests ok?
My OCD doesn't like the un-homed wire! Would love some advice or help if possible.
Thanks in advance!
Rob
