    Love it!

    I don't know much about cutting metal but were you using metal bits and some lubrication?

    My library has a laser cutter and the local makerspace does also. It makes quick work out of metal, may want to consider that route for your "production" model.

    Photoshop does an awesome job stitching together images.
    Scan at 300 dpi with at least a 10% overlap, file > automate > photomerge

    I've been following this project from the beginning and I really admire how far you've come!!!
    It looks incredible and I hope to get to play it one day.

    Regarding the plastics - do you have the art made?
    I see the Tyler sling above that may be a good candidate for 3D printed lithopane
