Anybody have suggestions on where to get a back glass? Mine shattered this morning...

Quoted from scampcamp:I bought 1 from Mayfair a few weeks ago.
Very happy with it.[quoted image]
Thanks. I sent them an e-mail.
Quoted from aztarac:Yep - used them on my restore. Turned our great![quoted image]
FINALLY! I bought a Firepower to restore and this was how I was going to do mine. I did a Pinbot powder coated everything black also. Thanks for posting with these decals I was going to go with also.
Quoted from Manny65:Looks awesome - well done!! Did you use decals or stencils for the artwork?
Stencils from Pinball Pimp..
Quoted from mrm_4:It’s on the coin door up top

Thanks! It's back where it belongs now.

Looking to replace a couple flaky switches. 2 are in the upper wire form roll overs that spell fire and a left in lane roll over.
Are those switches the same and where do you recommend getting them? The wire rollover is fine. It's the the switches underneath I want to change out.
Quoted from Robotworkshop:Before you change them out have you tried cleaning them again and the gap? While you never want to sand those I have some lapping paper with an insanely high grit # that I've used as a last resort before replacing a switch.
Also, if you are running the original driver board does it have the mod with the set of 8 zero ohm resistor/jumpers installed for the switch matrix? That helped on my Firepower.
Thanks for the response.
It's a rotten dog board and have adjusted them several times. They work a couple of times after adjustment and then stop again. Tired of adjusting them only to work for one game and back to not activating again. It's the right two only. The other 3 work perfectly.
Quoted from monkfe:I replaced all mine with cherry switches and the newer style brackets...no more issues with those switches...
I was wondering about that. Thanks.
Quoted from mrm_4:Anyone else get a back glass from CPR?

Yep.

Me to. Weird right?
You can see that in my pic before I shimmed it up.
Quoted from craif:After batting a few balls around the obstacle course of cupped inserts on this playfield and stripping the hardware to get a closer look at the wear and nicotine stains I've decided it's only possible future is as a backing for a hardtop.
Before I commit to that anyone have any thoughts on the availability/expense on a serviceable used playfield these days? The only recent ad for one was way better than mine and half the cost of a hardtop but had wear down to the wood dead center. I can touch up simpler areas and replace inserts but trying to repaint the center pattern seems like an VIP pass to the horror thread.
It's easier to do hardtop than a playfield swap. You don't have to remove everything off the back of the playfield. Mine turned out great and was not as hard as you make it out to be.
Quoted from craif:Unfortunately I have to remove everything anyway. Best I can tell whoever owned the machine for most of its 40 odd years was a lifetime achievement award recipient from Phillip Morris.
The playfield components/electric are near 100% complete/working but all coated inside and out in a mix ash and resin that releases fumes and dust whenever a part moves or gets warm. Before it comes in from the garage everything not being replaced entirely will get some combination of disassembly, cleaning, painting and tumbling.
The first time I started stripping the underside l had a dust mask on and was lightheaded after 30 minutes. Second pass was a full respirator and latex gloves.
At least I'll have a good war story when it's done.
The harder the job the more rewarding in the end.
After each one I say never again and then a year later I have the itch to do it again. Lol
