Got my e-mail. E.T.A. Monday!
Quoted from La_Porta:Anyone have the part # for the coil sleeves inside the pop bumper coils?
Page 5 of the attached PDF. p/n: 03-7066
Sleeve is available from Pinball Life. http://www.pinballlife.com/index.php?p=catalog&mode=search&search_in=all&search_str=03-7066
Quoted from La_Porta:Thanks a bunch...where can one get a hold of all these exploded views of the subassemblies?
Sorry... I have no idea where I found that PDF originally, years ago.
But alot of the individual parts/assy's can also be found in the manuals at Planetary Pinball.
http://www.planetarypinball.com/reference/partsmanuals/WMS_Parts_1980/index.html
There used to be a great dedicated website for Firepower called www.firepowerpinball.com , but it appears to no longer be that site. (instead was someone's machine for sale).

Guys, what type of diodes are those connected to the pop bumper circuits? One of mine is busted. Can’t find their rating in the schematics.
Quoted from La_Porta:Has anyone repainted/repaired their spinner? Mine could use some touch ups.
I touched up the black edges a bit but I used some stickers that I printed to cover up the rest. You can find the file with the spinner, standup and drop target decals in the image gallery.

Diodes or capacitors?
Capacitors are 22uf 25 volt.
Diodes are regular 1n4004
Thanks...yes, diodes. The play field I am swapping to has the glass variety, and one of them broke in half. I think I'll replace them all with the solid kinds.
By the way, where did you find that? In the schematic book, I see them all labeled individually, but I cannot find a table that lists what they are anywhere.

When you say the diodes are glass, that sounds more like the general purpose switching diodes used in the switch matrix, like a 1N914 or the 1N4148, which is glass.
If it's a counter EMF diode, across the coil, you have several choices. In the 1N4000 series general purpose rectifier, the last digit is the voltage rating. 1N4001 is 50 volt, 1N4007 is 1000 volt IIRC. But if the original is 1N4004, I wouldn't use anything less than that. I just keep 1N4007's handy. Then I don't have to worry about it.
Best of luck!
Thank you for responding...I wasn't clear at all...I am talking about the diodes that are used for the LIGHTING, not on top of the coils. My mistake. Can you then clear up for me which those are?
+1
Some games use glass 1N914 or 1N4148 diodes in the lamp or switch matrix. All can be replaced with 1N4004 diodes.

Has anyone restored their apron? Mine is a tad bit rusty...and has the annoying habit of scratching the play field when put on and taken off.
Quoted from danczaz:What happened to that site and thanks for the link of PDF's
Dont know but need to save those PDF befor thay go too!
Quoted from La_Porta:I’m saving them all and making it into a zip file for whoever wants them.

good idea
Quoted from RCA1:CPR has a re-run of plastics now listed as available on their website.
Get 'em while they're hot!

Thanks for posting, RCA1 ... I saw while catching up on threads tonight and put an order in for one set. If it shows up before Christmas my wife will wrap it for me to open!

Has anyone come up with a parts list for the under playfield assemblies or are we still stuck with having to either find a physical copy or scroll through the online version of the Williams parts catalog?
My Firepower II gate switches for the ramp are working intermittently. I've tried to adjust and clean both of them, because the right switch doesn't work without the left switch. I have had no success. The solder joints appear to be good and the wiring looks good. I was going to purchase new switches, but I can't find them anywhere. Anybody else have this problem. I might start following wires to the main board and see if something else is causing this. Any suggestions of where I can by these switches. I believe the part number is SW-1A-168.
Action pinball says you can use this gottlieb as a replacement? I would use your meter and check continuity on the old switches and wiring first.

Nevermind - I was able to secure an offline copy of the 1980 Williams parts manual.
Fellas, I have 98% LEDs on my FP, with just a few that were left incandescent by the previous owner. What I want to know is, how do I tell what the ones that are there are to get more just like them? For instance, targets 1-5 are all LED, and 6 is incandescent. I'd like to just get another LED...but I'm not sure how to decipher what kind I need.

i'd post a pic of the bulb Lit and unlit. Someone on here will chime in quickly.

We are happy to announce that the Firepower replacement backglasses are now available - super high quality, mirrored, etc (same supplier who did that EBD V2, Space Shuttle V2, Gorgar, Blackout, Alien Power, Kiss, Flash, etc) ...
Note that one thing that I learned was the debate over the red - which was designed to light up a lighter red vs when off. Seems that some of the bootleg repros out there could not figure that out so the glass that you see is the lighter red, which is not correct ...
Anyways, enjoy, they are in stock now!
Wow, that's huge, Rick...thank you for doing this! Do you happen to have areal-life photo of one of yours? I'm sure it looks amazing.

Anyone have a source for the rubber grommet at the back of the left outline kicker? Mine, like most originals i'm sure, is a disintegrating piece of crap.
Just ordered the new FP backglass and stand up targets decal set. Very excited!
If anyone needs a mediocre FP backglass for a reasonable price PM me.

Oh I got you. That's the same one as the knocker assembly. The ones listed are tan. You can still get white ones from action pinball.
