Ohhh, I am so excited about this thread. My husband is a total Pinsider, but I only lurk on occasion... Tiki Central used to be *my forum* until it went defunct, RIP.

Here is our tiki lounge & arcade, The Spooky Pineapple!

Nice space!
What happened to Tiki central?

Thanks!
I guess their server was updated and it broke the site entirely. It's supposed to come back I guess, but no clue when.

My in progress Tiki Lounge, just started putting it together back at the end of August. Work in progress, I’m on the hunt for some cool Tiki Masks currently. Maui Waui IPA Altamont Beer Works LED sign arriving soon.

I love that Wailua Wheat sign! Kona always has great, colorful labels. Also digging Birdperson and He-man. And your colors and decor. Basically everything. You're off to a great start!

Quoted from PaulCoff:

The valse idol has a certain drink where if you buy it all the lights in the room turn down and there is a heavy storm mimicked throughout the place.

Hale Pele in Portland does something similar with one of their bowls – they set it on fire and fog machines go off. My lucky husband was sitting right in front of one of the machines and was completely engulfed in fog every time they went off. It was hysterical!

Well this is a bummer... I was supposed to have my first visit to Mai Kai last May, but of course our trip was cancelled. Hopefully they find the right buyer willing to revive it.

For Christmas, my husband surprised me with the Mug of Mugs from TikiLand Trading, as well as a membership to their "mug society" and a couple other amazing mugs that have not yet shipped. This mug puts most of my others to shame – it's big and beautiful. I'm gonna need more shelves!

Recent mug arrivals! Thank you SLCpunk2113 – such a perfect mug for our hybrid tiki lounge & arcade.

Quoted from dirkdiggler:

Here's a coaster from Trader Vics in Vancouver that my mom kept. Too bad there isn't a pair. They lived in Van from 66 to 69. I also have a drink menu somewhere which is really cool.

My parents were recently in London and bummed Trader Vic's had no merch for sale and no swizzles. All they could bring back for me was a coaster, haha.

Let’s see the arcade!

Sorry for the delay! The Spooky Pineapple arcade, complete with toddler tunnel.

Got mine. For drinking beer you need a little Das Boot action at the end, but I love it.

Turn the boot!

Tikiland Trading sells "glass" floats that are actually beach balls, and I cannot recommend them enough! They're great for outdoors, and practically toddler-proof. May seem pricey for beach balls, but it's absolutely worth it to be able to hang them outside and not worry about breaking. (I brought them in for winter though.)

Quoted from PinNickleby:

Found some cool pieces at my favorite picking place that will be used to turn our enclosed patio into a tiki lounge.[quoted image]

I have that exact end table in my tiki lounge, but black with tan accents. Got it from Pier 1 like 15 years ago for $25 because one of the corners was slightly damaged. Still one of my favorite pieces of furniture.
