I think ive got about 100 mugs and bowls now. Been collecting for a bit while waiting to get space to build a tiki shed out back. I will post pics later.
Some pics. These are a small part of my collection. The majority are on shelves circling a good amount of my boys' room (which used to be my gameroom, but they come first, and both voted to leave the mugs there)
Quoted from onemoresean:I would love to do some of these lighting effects in my Hawaiian dive bar patio.
That last set up was done by Sam Towler, who is a very talented Imagineer with Disney.
My in progress Tiki Lounge, just started putting it together back at the end of August. Work in progress, I’m on the hunt for some cool Tiki Masks currently. Maui Waui IPA Altamont Beer Works LED sign arriving soon.

Frankie's kicks ass. A must-stop in Vegas for me.
Well now that we have a Tiki thread does anyone out there have a Vantiki Pier post Bob they would like to sell for some pinball cash?
Quoted from Skipnatty:Frankie's kicks ass. A must-stop in Vegas for me.
I went to Vegas and forgot to stop there. Perhaps next time.

Strange story of how this set came to be. I got the left tall green one first many years ago. The right tall green one was found a few years later. Then around 40 years later while I was in a junk shop in Florida, I found the two tall brown ones and the four small ones. The weird thing is that the two I had already were missing from the set in Florida. Now I have four tall ones that match the four small ones. My uncle said it was karma.
The brown one in the middle was a gift I got after the collection of eight.
The mugs around the boys room
Ooh, great idea for a thread. Unfortunately all my tiki mugs, masks, tchotchkes, and records are boxed up at the moment so I don't have fun photos to share like the great stuff above. Been thinking of turning our 4th floor loft into a giant tiki lounge (plus woodrails, wedgeheads, and cocktail pins), but it's just hard to feel the tiki vibe in a location where there's usually snow on the ground from November through March. There are also very few tiki bars up here. Jealous of the west coast and all the tiki bars and pinball places you guys have.
I did manage to buy a case of the elusive Hamilton 151 a few years ago that I still have one or two bottles left of. Seems like Lemon Hart 151 is back in production, so that's good. Plantation rum is a must have, too.
Was gonna share my tiki/tropical Spotify playlist, but in typical Spotify fashion, it seems like half the songs are missing currently. Argh.

We ordered the half round poles and bamboo fencing. Bac Bac matting we got there as well.
Ohhh, I am so excited about this thread. My husband is a total Pinsider, but I only lurk on occasion... Tiki Central used to be *my forum* until it went defunct, RIP.
Here is our tiki lounge & arcade, The Spooky Pineapple!

Wow, love your space! Looks like a cool hang.
Combines all of my favorite things - Tiki, Skeletons and Elvira!
Nice space!
What happened to Tiki central?

I guess their server was updated and it broke the site entirely. It's supposed to come back I guess, but no clue when.
A Tiki room without a Gilligan's Island is sacrilege. Just saying. Following. Pics coming.
House is a mess right now.

I love that Wailua Wheat sign! Kona always has great, colorful labels. Also digging Birdperson and He-man. And your colors and decor. Basically everything. You're off to a great start!
Thanks! The Kona beer sign is pretty interesting as you can change it up by inserting 6 label translites, it’s on the Wailau Wheat currently:

The menu pictures get more out-of-focus as you go down your post . . . were you getting drunker?

Days gone by.... glad I just got my first vaccine dose. I'll put it on my bucket list!

The valse idol has a certain drink where if you buy it all the lights in the room turn down and there is a heavy storm mimicked throughout the place. It must have been after one of those drinks or something.
*Remember, the place is a speak easy so you have to put in for reservations in advance.
Wow, the False Idol Tiki bar looks amazing!
I’ve never seen so many tiki lights packed into one ceiling.
I love the Witco style bar too.

Hale Pele in Portland does something similar with one of their bowls – they set it on fire and fog machines go off. My lucky husband was sitting right in front of one of the machines and was completely engulfed in fog every time they went off. It was hysterical!
I’m in the process of decorating my home bar with a hodgepodge of beer signs, old photos and tiki stuff. One of my favorite mugs is Frankiestein from Frankie’s Tiki Room. Still available online if you want one:

Quoted from dsuperbee:The mugs around the boys room
Hey, I just saw that Frankiestein in your collection!
I’ve been waiting to show this off.
I’ve heard stories about this particular shirt, including that it was a staff uniform for the original Enchanted TIKI Room.
Most likely an exit through the gift shop item.
Judging from the fabric, cut, collar and label, it’s definitely 60s - early 70s. Not the series Shag came out with.
The graphics themselves are hella rad.
