Thought it an idea to have a thread for all those parts we can't find. Thread may sink into oblivion but I will start it!

Looking for a good condition Gottlieb AAB coin door ( 1975 ). Light surface rust is ok, but no dents or dings. The AAB has only 2 holes, instead of 4 that pbr sells.

#39 9 years ago
Quoted from ccotenj:

do you mean 2 holes like this one?

This is going to be tough to find.

Looking for very nice big plastic that goes at top of p/f on Big Hit 1977. Goes right across p/f at top.

Will pay around $30 for not warped/not broken!

Yep, PM me your address and tell me how many feet you need.
It'll be more than a week before I can send it out though, as I'm out of town at the moment. Poke me again if I forget.

Thanks for kind offer. Now have some coming

This is going to be tough to find I think.

I have a 2 chute coin entrance housing for 1977 Big Hit. It is missing the piece of metal that sits behind it and has 3 screw holes. It secures the coin entrance plates. Need the 3 screws as well. Don't even know the part number as doesn't seem to be in catalog - everything else seems to be!

See photo - the metal piece with 3 screws in it.

Oh is that all?
that should be easy to find NOT!
I think that if there was a repro of this pf it would be a great seller.

Atlantis must be one of the hardest games to find with a great p/f. I have never seen one without cracking on it. Must have been a bad year for timber when they made them. It was an exceptionally cold winter.

Amazed no one has done a repro for this game - wow, they would sell out.

Looking for a 4 digit Gottlieb game counter for 1960 game.

Also an armature - see picture - silver bit behind coil, has a spring as well. Gottlieb 1960.

Thanks

Quoted from AlexF:

I can check my parts. Do you need just the armature plate or the whole coil bracket assembly?

Thanks

You can see the hold relay just in front of photo - think I just need armature plate and spring.

BG for a Gottlieb Sunshine. Condition isn't too important depending on price. Unless it's so bad you can't even tell what game it is. I know I can go the repro route but not ready to drop the $245.00 or so it would cost. I am going to contact Mayfair and see if they have any old one's in stock, although that will probably be almost as expensive.

You could chase this seller up in case sale didn't go through. Good price - I nearly bought it for wall art.

Looking for 4 cream 31 Gottlieb legs. Type used pre 1960.

These don't have rib on outside of leg.

Post to IL.

Thanks

IMG_8555.JPGIMG_8555.JPG
#1009 8 years ago
Quoted from AlexF:

PBR actually sells these now. Part# LEG-31W.

Thanks but actually they sell the regular chrome 31 inch leg with the rib on the outside. Pretty close match but different so still looking for original

1 week later
#1032 8 years ago

One more try for set of 31 inch Gottlieb original cream legs as used 1957 - 1960. There is zero rib/bulge on the outside of legs on these.

Post to IL.

Will pay $100 for a nice original set that doesn't need powder coating.

Otherwise will go for pbr repro set.

IMG_8555.JPGIMG_8555.JPG
#1034 8 years ago
Quoted from waltrr:

You might as well get a set from PBR and paint them, in the long run I think you'll be happier. The old legs were a thinner gage and seemed to twist easily. I have plenty that did. You really don't notice it until you line machines up in a row and the legs are all over the place. I'm sure the frontal rib on the new ones helps too.
Good luck on your search

Thanks - will give it a day or two and then order with pbr as they do a cream set anyway.

1 week later
#1064 8 years ago
Quoted from hoov:

Speaking of legs, anyone have a set of flat cream colored to fit late 50's Gottliebs (after wooden before ribbed)

I tried everyone and everywhere - super hard to find. Emailed tons of people.

I guess the powder coated 31 inches sets for $40 plus bucks are pretty good even though they have the rib.

If you find 2 sets let me know

#1247 8 years ago

And now looking for working Heath's coin mech...... like this one.

IMG_8709.jpgIMG_8709.jpg

IMG_8710.jpgIMG_8710.jpg

#1249 8 years ago
Quoted from boilerman:

those are VERY VERY hard to find. I know if someone would repro them, they could make a mint!

Darn it!

And I might need two as one looks like it may be non working......

#1251 8 years ago
Quoted from boilerman:

if complete you should be able to make it work. missing is another story.
I know I have passed on machines that had those missing, knowing I would have a hard time replacing them.
even though we for the most part don't drop coins. them machine looks bare missing them.

Worse was I thought the game did have one but it is a United one. Just got to be patient I guess.

This is a great thread.

https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/heath-drop-chute-information-and-disassembly

One of mine is missing the reject cover - no idea if it will or won't work without it.

#1254 8 years ago

Maybe I don't need a mech then!

One game has an ABT mech - no idea GTB used these.

Here is pics of other - bit missing, bent etc. I have never used or looked at a Heath's mech . If it doesn't work so be it but would be cool if it did

IMG_8720.jpgIMG_8720.jpg

IMG_8718.jpgIMG_8718.jpg

IMG_8719.jpgIMG_8719.jpg

#1256 8 years ago
Quoted from DirtFlipper:

That ABT style looks fine. Both should be able to work (although the Heath chute is missing one cover, so not sure if the nickel will follow the path without falling out).
There's a contact switch inside the micro switch that may need cleaning to register closing when the nickel trips the wire. But requires disassembly to clean it. That might be more than you want to tackle.

Thanks. I will try and tackle it but it will be at the end of a very long list!

I have a few, let me see if I can find them. Give me a day or so.

Thanks

Quoted from AlexF:

I had a bunch of those but sold the remaining off about a month or so ago. I've got one Ivory one left and a couple of the metal bracket and flaps left. I think you can buy the repro plastic part from PBR. I'd post a link but of course I can never find those kind of parts when I look.

Never seen an ivory one - wonder what games used them?

Quoted from DirtFlipper:

I think it used to be in the Signature Parts area, but now I don't see it anywhere. I know I've purchased them before. Hope he's not out of them!

Couldn't find anywhere!

Really need an R relay as used by Gottlieb mid 1950's.

There are different types of R relays.

This one is for a N relay. It has 2 sets of contacts on the left side and a make /break switch on the right.

Really not expecting anyone to have this, but here goes.

See diagram - there is a drive arm with a part that hits the bell - A1150.

See pic and my drive arm is missing this and a piece of metal that goes on top of drive arm.

Gottlieb 1952 , it's part of a 10000 point stepper unit.

Looking for an original instruction card for Centigrade 37, Kings & Queens, Buckaroo, Abra Ca Dabra, Atlantis, and Gridiron. The reprints currently in the machines are starting to bug me. Would also be looking for score cards for these machines too. Let me know what you have. I've been looking at eBay for "lots of score/instruction cards" and haven't found these titles yet.
I love how you find machines missing instruction cards or they are reprints and then you find a machine with 17 extra instruction cards and all the original paperwork

Just looked. Don't have Gridiron instruction card but got original manual/schematic and about 10 of the original score cards - the smaller cards on the right side of apron. Pm if interested.

Chroming, they come up nice.

#3891 6 years ago
Quoted from MikeO:

Originally that wasn't chrome plated. Only nickel plated. As has been explained to me nickel plating is the last step before applying chrome plating.
To me chrome plating always looks out of place on a pinball, especially EM pinball.
In the past I used and recommended Mike Chestnut be he is no longer with us. Someone has picked up where he left off I believe. Others will point you to sources for nickel plating.

Agree - if doing anything again would nickel plate. Any chromers should do this.

Someone wanted NOS King Pin/Pin Up drop targets a while back?

I bought these for $80! Came from an operator who retired.

Lining them up, one is slightly smaller - no idea why. Same part number.
