Looking for either a Bally Wizard Bonus Unit or at least the plastic gear.

As you can see my new project pin’s plastic gear’s teeth are worn to hell. Thanks.

Looking for an 8 slot Bally switch actuator. I believe it’s a C-813. The one on mine is broken off in a couple of places. PBR and Marco Specialties are out of stock. Maybe there is a way to repair?

Quoted from Grauwulf:

Sea_Wolf that seems like a part that could be modeled and 3D printed. Yours really looks like has seen some heat.

Yes it does. I think the former owner kept playing it with it broken and the switches on the 10 point relay would lock on and not release back and scorching it I assume. He finally bent one of the switches so they didn’t make contact.

I’d be interested to know more about modeling this part and the 3D printing.

Quoted from MarkG:

In the short term you might be able to rearrange the switch stacks to use the undamaged slots in the actuator. That may require new or different switch stack screws and/or spacers but it wouldn't be a hard thing to do.

Thanks Mark, I’ll see if I can do that this weekend

#7094 3 years ago
Quoted from Grauwulf:

I've got a 60's Bally I can check to see if I have one of those to take measurements off of. I just can't access it right now, it's buried right now.

This project machine has made me a patient man. Thanks.

#7097 3 years ago
Quoted from PinballAir:

Not bally.
But you are welcome to it.
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

That’s awfully nice of you. I’ll take my old actuator off this this weekend and see how close they are.

Thanks a bunch.
Danny

#7100 3 years ago
Quoted from PinballAir:

Since only one side is burned, can you just invert it?
It looks like there is only one switch stack using only one side and that side is burned.

Yeah I think that’s a possibility. Mark G mentioned something similar so I’m going to need to check it out closer this weekend.

Quoted from MarkG:

Doesn’t look like that’s an option because 6 of the 8 slots get used and 3 of them are cooked.

#7106 3 years ago
Quoted from PinballAir:

Since only one side is burned, can you just invert it?
It looks like there is only one switch stack using only one side and that side is burned.

Don’t think it’s going to work that way. I need 2 good slots in succession and as you can see there are 3 in a row that are burnt/broken and there are 6 switches that go into the actuator. You can also see that some hack glued a couple of piece of metal into the broken slots to close the gap.

It’s a wonder a bigger disaster didn’t happen. I think I can use your actuator. It measures the same in length although the width is different. I think it may work. Sending a pm. Thanks

Quoted from vec-tor:

I was thinking... Maybe you can make a silicone mold and make a resin cast off of a good part.
Or, you can clean the part and use epoxy to fix the damaged areas.

Thanks for the suggestions. I think I may try the latter and see what happens.

Looking for a 3” ball gate with the one way wire for a Bally Wizard. My project pin didn’t have one (big surprise). I looked on Marco and PBR but didn’t see any in stock. Thanks.

I definitely still have 1 of them and possibly both that PinballAir sent me. They almost worked but were a hair to tight but pinhead52 hooked me up with a Bally replacement.

You’re welcome to have them. Just send a PM with the address. Danny

#7405 3 years ago

@nikrox2. Just checked and I only have one. You’re welcome to it but since PinballAir has 2 of them, maybe that’s a better option unless you can use 3. Just let me know.

#7408 3 years ago
Quoted from Nikrox2:

Have to ask as I haven't changed one yet- easy peasy? Tips or tricks to replace these?

It’s a little tedious getting the long switch blades through the correct slots but to me the main thing to remember is to make sure and put nuts or alligator clips on the ends of the screws of the switch stacks after you remove them so they don’t fall apart. And to take pictures before.

I just unscrewed the whole relay off the back board and let it dangle when I replaced the actuator.

I think I’m looking for 2 bell coil plunger/strikers. I replaced the old bell coils but there were no plungers in the sleeves like the nylon tipped metal ones you see in chime coils.

I didn’t see anything available at Marco or PBR but I might be looking for the wrong thing. I have the new coils and sleeves.

This is my first em pin with bells instead of chimes. Wondering exactly what I need. It’s a 1962 Williams 3 Coins.

Thanks, Danny.

#7508 3 years ago
Quoted from KevinD:

PBR has them. Part no. A-5387

Thanks Kevin. Before I order, it looks like they list a Williams bell striker part B-5393 above where the A-5387 knocker plunger is listed. Not sure which one is correct.

I need plungers for both the 5” bell and the smaller one.

#7512 3 years ago
Quoted from MikeO:

Since Steve lists it separately I would order the Williams referenced part for your Williams game.

Thanks Mike

#7514 3 years ago
Quoted from KevinD:

I have a 1962 Williams parts catalog. It shows B-5393 as the coil and bracket assembly for the large bell which is everything but the bell itself. While it doesn't show a plunger at all on the large bell it shows the small bell plunger as A-5387. That is what I ordered for mine and they work fine.

You are exactly right. I was just getting ready to post that PBR informed me today that the B-5393 part was indeed the whole assembly and that the A-5387 plunger should work for both bells.

It was a little confusing to me how they had it worded. Thanks Again.

Looking for a blue pop bumper cap for a Williams OXO. Text on it says 10 or 100 points when lit. PBR doesn't have them. Are they pretty much unobtainium?

There is a green one for OXO on eBay that you probably already have but I’m wondering if you couldn’t repaint it. Might be worth a shot if no one on here has one.

Looking for the left slingshot plastic on a '64 Williams River Boat.
I have one but it's warped out of its mind.
And before I get more aggressive with it, I'd like to have a backup plan (I'm afraid of ruining it)
It would be different if someone has reproduced these plastics... if they have, I sure couldn't find it.

I agree with ibis about the 175 degree oven method between glass working like a charm but I had one from my recent addition 3 Coins that was so badly warped that it had curled under itself almost into a ‘U’ shape.

Could you post a picture of the plastic and how bad it is warped? The oven/glass method worked great on 7 of the 8 I had but that last one I had to carefully hit it with a heat gun on low heat till it became a little pliable and then gently used my hands in between heat ups to get it to where it could put it between glass. You do have to be extra careful not to heat it too much at one time or the paint will bubble and raise and can ruin the plastic.

I could use 1 of this type of ball gate that goes on the shooter lane of Aladdin’s Castle and on the right upper return lane on Wizard! If anyone has an extra.

It measures right at 3 1/4” long and I don’t need the screws. I figured PBR and Marco would have them but Marco didn’t last time I checked and I can’t find it on the PBR website and am trying to avoid a phone call lecture. Thanks.

Thanks

Anybody need any or all of the plastics for a Gottlieb Jacks Open/Lucky Hand, let me know.

They cleaned up nice but the lower left plastic does have a chunk missing. The only other blemish is the big plastic behind the drop targets has a tiny crack but hardly noticeable. I figured I go all out on this restoration of a Lucky Hand so I ordered new plastics.

Hey guys, before I call PBR, does anyone know what part this missing rollover button would be and if there’s something compatible I could find as a replacement? I just bought this machine but haven’t picked it up yet but can get a measurement from the owner if that helps.

It a 1976 Sonic ‘Faces’. I know that Williams parts are compatible with Sonic machines for the most part but other than that I’m lost on this. Thanks for any help.

Thanks Ken. That’s a big help and it’s 3/4” in diameter so that sounds right. Never owned a Sonic before so I got nervous.

My only concern is the fact that the parts are usually metric.
I had to modify a regular pop bumper skirt to make the part work

Quoted from Mikala:

Contact this guy and see if he will sell you just the ball gates.

I think he’s going to hook me up. Big thanks to you for the link.

Always remember my first encounter talking to Steve and I was a little nervous after reading threads on here. I tried to email earlier but they were only taking calls so I called and I gave him my customer number and he said, what can I do for you? I said well, I emailed earlier and he replied tersely “this isn’t EBay!”. I heard Jimmy in the background say “he didn’t say EBay Steve, he said email”.

He apologized and couldn’t have been any nicer after that. We actually talked for about 10 minutes after he got my order. No wonder people usually get a busy signal first try lol.

Quoted from atpcfiaim:

Bally gates with chrome top needed. 2 1/2 and 3” on center, screw hole to screw hole. Photo is examples of the Bally style I am seeking.

I had a heck of time finding the larger ball gate for my Wizard but finally got lucky on eBay last year. I may have the smaller gate in my tool chest. I’ll check when I get home from work.

I looked at everything and this is what I have. I don’t have the 3” gate but I do have a 2 1/2” gate from screw hole to screw hole and looks to be stainless and not the shiny chrome one. It came from a Bally Sea Ray if I remember correctly. You’re welcome to it if you can use it.
