Hey guys, picked up a 1965 Gottlieb Paradise and it arrived with the score reel plastic slots that hold the score reels in place broken. Anyone know what those parts are called or where to source them? I looked at PBR's site but didn't see anything close. I could hack something together but the pin is otherwise in fabulous shape and I'd like to keep it nice.

here's a cage, the bottom are suitable for a 60's game

Nice, thanks for the tip, I'll put that auction on my watch list. So I'm guessing new guides are unobtainium? Seems like an enterprising 3d printer owner could make some side money.

Somebody did send me grey slotted material that can be used as a replacement but I like to use original material as much as possible.

Yes, they would. The most challenging part is making the 3D Cad file.

Looking for a complete ball count unit for a Gottlieb Sky Jump. I think the ball count units were the same for single player machines between 1970 to 1976??? Any condition... Thanks...

That would certainly simplify things, but sadly I don't think that's the case. Sky Jump used these parts in the ball count unit:
Gear & Shaft: A-11669
Disc: B-15004
Wiper: B-9998

Games that include that same combination include
High Hand
Sky Jump
Top Card
Atlantis
El Dorado
Spin Out
Abra Ca Dabra
Sure Shot
Buccaneer
Volley
Jacks Open
Big Hit
Centigrade 37

Whether other ball count units could be adapted I don't know. But these are the only games I found with the same set of three part numbers.

There should be wedgeheads earlier than High Hand that have the same configuration. Would need to look at an older parts catalog to define which games would be a match. Unfortunately I don't have access to an older parts catalog at the moment.

There are older games that use some of the parts. Hi-Lo for example from '69 uses the same Gear & Shaft and Wiper, but it's the Disc (B-15004) on Sky Jump that was first used in High Hand as far as I can tell.

Anyone need a lockbar for a mid-60s Gottlieb Pinball Machine? The end-caps do have some wear on them. The bar itself is in good condition. I'd like to get $45 for it.

PM me if interested. I can send more pictures tomorrow (this is the only one I have of it -- came on my King Pin, and it's the wrong bar for that game).

One of the first machines with multiball. This machine has more value as a complete project. This game is way cooler than the 73 Circus you though you were getting.

It looks like a ton of fun, Im just bummed it was in such bad shape. I would be thrilled to sell it as a whole and I hope someone would be willing to take this on.

Jeff,

Bob Langelius above also offered to create the 3D image if someone has a physical part he can model it from.

Ok, Ron Webb is out of Abra glasses... Anybody got a extra reproduction, or pretty good original? Just saved up my pennies to re-acquire this game...
(Also need Rack-a-ball glass)

I'll have to start collecting names to see if I can get Ron to do another run, with Wades pf do out in a couple of months we needs them.

Looking for a nice set of 31 inch chrome legs for a 1973 Gottlieb King Pin. I will probably order them from Steve at pinball resource, but thought I’d check here for us just in case I can get a better deal.

Is there a part # for JITB coin mechanisms?

I have two that might be from the JITB I recently sold and one of them has D-52-3-10 and 61056 stamped in ink on the sides.

JITB was probably quarters only then so you probably have two quarter mechs. Not sure if Gottlieb gave them a part number.

#4026 6 years ago

Yes, they both seem to fit quarters. How do you know which coin mechanisms go in which games without trying them? Does anyone have JITB or JJ coin mechanisms that look like these?

I want to be sure the buyer gets them if they belong with the game.

Thanks,
Bruce

Coin mechs (with exceptions, of course) weren't made by any pin manufacturer, they were made by companies like CoinCoI don't think there IS any 'right mech with a game', as they were probably picked and purchased in large bulks, and installed as ordered by the operator. (50c piece, 25c piece, 10c piece, etc.)

#4028 6 years ago

I have found the metal coil mechs fit into almost anything. They have the pins on the ends that can be relocated to accommodate fitting into most pins. The plastic ones ( Like Monex) can be more specific because the pin locations are fixed. If you get one with all the pins on it, you can always cut off the ones that conflict with the installation.
You have to use a coin mech for the coin you wish to use. Dime, Nickle , quarter and all of the different token sizes. Some token mechs will also accept quarters.

#4029 6 years ago

Hoping to purchase 2 contact plates for a gottlieb as relay(circled in red). The Big Shot i'm fixing is missing it from both sides. Note that i need the whole plate including the contacts. Also, I could use a right side flipper crank. I know PBR has this, but I wouldn't mind a used one if the same person has both parts i need.

Thanks for the helpful info, guys. I'm going to give these mechanisms to the buyer and ask him to let me know if they don't fit. They're most likely from the JITB.

I'm looking for some parts on the bonus unit for this Gottlieb Duotron. You can see the actuator is severely worn and the cog will no longer turn. I've cleaned everything and it's just stuck. I don't need the whole unit, but that might be helpful.

Looking for Chicago Coin Ball Count Unit parts 130-518 - backup washer or the wiper finger ass'y 464-2507 per a problem I'm having detailed in this post https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/chicago-coin-club-right-here/page/10#post-4325838

My wiper finger assembly is loose on the shaft and causing the wrong ball or "player up" to be displayed.

Quoted from 85Txaggie:

Nip It Gator Coil

what voltage does this thing operate at & what resistance is the coil supposed to be ?

I have discovered "mechanical laminated solenoids" that are the same frame size as my zipper flipper close solenoid , the one I had purchased was like 150 ohms & if I needed to would probably need to rewind the coil. The good zipper flipper solenoid I have reads about 9 ohms and about 50v when energized

this is the one I purchased ebay.com link: Bottle Release Solenoid For Old Cavalier and Vendo Slant Shelf Soda Machines

Did a separate post on this too:

I am missing one of the three screws that holds the ball gate to the top arch on a 1973 Gottlieb King Pin. I have the lock washer and nut. None of the screws in my parts bins are the right size head/length.

Anyone got an extra they could part with (no pun intended)? Just want to make sure it’s the right one. I’d appreciate it!
