Yeah, the score reels would be correct; Gottlieb's original decagons which actually were decagons.

I had the complete AcD light board shipped from Idaho to pa for 30 bucks
and I am sure that I could help fill in the missing parts
hope dave didn't cut the wires to short when removing parts. reconnecting them would be a little harder but doable

Thanks guys - email sent!

I have a 1976 Bally Freedom EM backbox & lower board if anyone needs stuff. It's pretty rusty, but some of it has to be usable. Picked it up local from a guy who made a coffee table out of the cabinet & playfield. Backglass was broken...

#204 9 years ago

I need the plastic cover for the lower left sling on a Neptune/Poseidon/Hit the Deck. I don't think this set has been repro'd.

I just bought my first EM machine. Williams Heat Wave from 1964. Looking for coin door parts (picture shows what I do have) to replace the missing mechanisms, wiring, switches, basically everything inside was removed.
One pop bumper body, the rod from the cabinet bottom tap off switch, coin box.
I really do not have any parts from this era to offer as trade, I do however have the original envelope with what appears to have every piece of paperwork/notice that originally came with the machine (I am keeping this with the machine of course) But I could supply scans/pictures if anyone is interested. only thing I may have are some misc. parts from a hot tip EM or early Williams solid state games.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

I am not suggesting you buy this but am showing you it might expand your options. The flat style coin mech holders were very common for many years and as far as I know, the mount and hardware tended to line up the same. The ebay link is to a 2 slot midway door, common to something like Pacman or Ms Pacman. An old rusty one might have the parts you need for a fraction of the price.

Those old style pop bumper bodies are hard to find. I could use a few myself.

Thanks, After I posted this I looked on ebay and saw an old one that had sold which gave me an idea what to look for, knowing this does indeed open up options other than for the the wiring/switches.

Ok, it probably should be posted elsewhere, but look at this!! HOLY CRAP.

OK, the guy parting out this drop-a-card sent pics of inside backbox.. does this score reel setup look correct for my Royal guard?

that looks like someone along the line put "wrong" reels in it... i believe (and jr i believe) that those should be the reels that actually have a resemblance to decagons, rather than round...

dammit, i wish i had an encyclopedic memory like some seem to have... but they "look like" they are the right assemblies with the wrong reels...

Yeah, hopefully he still has some of the stuff next weekend & I can make a run down there & check it out. Would love to pick up a shuffle bowler & maybe a vintage slot machine. Though I have no idea where I would put the bowler.....

Well, I'm don't care if it's 100% original. Just want it to work. I may pickup the whole backbox assy for future parts needs

either way, it would be unoriginal, since royal guard has the "bronzy" parts... i'm just not sure enough to say "yes, those will fit"...

not a bad idea... can always use parts...

I have a Gottlieb super soccer 4-player backglass if anyone needs it. Not in best shape but great if you're missing the glass.

Interesting. They already sent down 300+ games to Southern Calif. for a July 26th Auction. Many 80s/90s video conversions. A few interesting oldies (EM arcade pieces and B/W Video Games). Some Pinballs (EM and early SS). Some Flash Slots. Some Jukes and Pool Tables. NO BINGOs in So Cal.

They are also supposed to be doing an Online only auction with Super Auctions with the stuff getting listed on July 7th with the various items (Bingos, Slots, Jukes, Shuffle tables, Rolling stock) ending on various dates begining on July 27th.

I would think that by July 7th, if they commited them to Auction, they would no longer be available for on-site purchase.

Damn. I guess it won't hurt to call & ask though.

Not a pinball part per say that I am looking for but rather an original pinball flyer for a 1962 Williams King Pin.

I collect flyers for all my pinball machines I have owned, past & present and this is the only one still eluding me.

PM me if you got one with condition and price.

Thanks,

Ken

You know, I'm not really sure about "Drop a Card" and "Pop a Card", but they are in a somewhat transitional period for Gottlieb manufacturing. They may be among the last of the games to use the 'brass' plated parts, and it could be that they also transitioned to the round score reels during that time. In any case, they would probably work in your "Royal Guard". I have to ask my brother to check his "PAC" to see what type score reels it has. Remember, this was the last Gottlieb to have short flippers too, although they were used again from time to time as on games with upper flipper pairs.

Hmm, just for fun I might call Steve Young & pick his brain on this. If anyone he would know for sure.

DaC and PaC reels are round not 10 sided, as jr said they were changing from flash bronze to zinc plate on this title
so you will find a mix of bronze / zinc parts in those

#226 9 years ago
Quoted from boilerman:

DaC and PaC reels are round not 10 sided

Are they all round? Even the earlier serial numbered ones? What game was the last with the true decagons then?
They weren't around for long I guess.

#227 9 years ago

I have a sample DaC it is round
6-71 4 square were 10 sided had bronze hardware
10-71 astro were 10 sided had zinc hardware
11-71 drop a card were round so it looks like they made the change with drop a card
3-72 flying carpet round
3-72 pop a card round

#228 9 years ago

I have a bunch of EM plastics (A couple per set to almost complete):

PL02.jpgPL02.jpgPL01.jpgPL01.jpg

I can use a Target Alpha Lock down bar (late style peg kind)

#229 9 years ago

Bottom set pictured is Quick Draw/Fast Draw I think.

3-72 pop a card round

thanks dave for clearing that up... i knew the 4 square ones were 10 sided (i've had them apart enough times ) but couldn't figure out when they made the change...

so it looks like they went from bronze after 4 square but either before or with astro... similar to other areas where they made changes in machines, i'd guess they were using up the last of the 10 sided reels on the new zinc assemblies before switching to the round ones...

they could have made life easier for us if they only had made major component changes at year end...

Agreed! Now both Flipper and Big Casino have all the parts they need (I hope). Not bad for a couple of machines older than me that got the heck played out of them back in the 60s and early 70s.

#239 9 years ago

There is NO WAY these machines are older than you!!

3 Coins is not older than me.

Anyone have an orphan Gottlieb slide on cash box lid? Need one to fit the 8-1/4" X 11" Cashbox but will take one for an 8" X 10-5/8" one too.

Let me know. (within the US please).

Looking for:

1) Gottlieb 1966 Cross Town Plastics (full or partial set)
2) Gottlieb 1952 Queen of Hearts coin door. Must have original art. Door condition must be good but the art doesn't necessarily have to be as I plan to repaint it.

need a used one to match the others

I flipped on the Tv while getting ready for work this morning. Dukes of Hazard happened to be on. They were in the Boars Nest bar and there it was…a Sheriff in a Jungle cabinet.

#248 9 years ago

Looking for an empty cabinet and backbox for a 1969 Williams 4-player (Smart Set) if anyone has one. Not sure what years may work for this...

Also, would a late Bally EM cabinet house an early SS game (Supersonic)? I need one for that as well...

Thanks all - would need to be 200 miles or so from Greenville/Spartanburg, SC

Sorry to bring this up again but I really need these plastics. I'm a total EM Williams guy and own a prototype metal cabinet Rancho. Unfortunately, I broke my first slingshot plastic (R) while playing this game. I'd really appreciate a replacement. I have other EM Williams parts to trade.
The other Williams plastics I need are for a Wild Card, the last Williams EM single player. The lower left side plastic as well as the left slingshot are both broken. The game could use a whole set though, as the cabinet, backglass and playfield are definitely worthy of the expense to make this game perfect. Thanks in advance.
