Quoted from wayner:Has anyone had success in locating #18 x 32mm finishing nails (PBR recomm) as distinct from brad nails to replace worn contact pins in very early GTB bumper skirts?

Have you tried stiff piano wire?
Quoted from vec-tor:Have you tried stiff piano wire?
Good suggestion thanks and certainly an option but initially seeking the nail because it has the skirt locating head although that certainly could be replicated on the wire.

I would start by verifying the size.
Looking for a single original drop target for a Gottlieb "Big Shot"/"Hot Shot"/"Pro Pool". This is for a friend who has one broken one. He wants to keep the original look, and doesn't want to change out all 14 of them with new ones.
I'm looking for the coin mech guts for a Wagon Train I have a pair of coin chutues, just need everything that mounts to the door.
Thanks!

I should have one if nobody has contacted you yet!

I'd take 3-4 if you have to get a set.
Looking for a couple of Chicago Coin red anodized aluminum flipper buttons.
Checked all the usual sources. These are for a 1975 Gold Record. Trying to finish up this restoration and these are one of the last things I need.
Thanks!

Those the same as Pinball Pool? I have some original pinball pool ones in various state of wear, won't be able to get to them for a couple weeks at least though.

I have some old targets from a Hot Shot refurb. How many do you need? PM me an address.

I believe they're green on "Pinball Pool". But thanks anyway!

Is the door for sale (minus the coin parts)?
Hello All:
I am just now starting a restoration of a 1966 Midway Gun Game "Captain Kidd". Right off I see that the motor windings for the countdown timer are toast. The windings that control points is working fine. I am in need of either a repair outfit that will replace the windings or I need to see about finding a old replacement. Any Ideas?
Thanks
Mike

Do you have a way to test the motor? If so, have you?
I've seen windings that were that dark (maybe a little darker) and the
motor still worked fine. I've seen them totally toast, and those were dark
black..
I believe that's a 50V motor. If so, and the coil pack is shot, I'm pretty sure
50V uses 25 AWG wire. They're all a little tough, but some of those winding
casings are extremely hard to crack and get apart, so hopefully the original
may still be okay..

Thanks for the offer Mike but I’ve already found a source. Have a great holiday

To be honest, I have not tested it out. It started smoking when I fired up the game and then quickly switched it off. I was hoping to find a repair shop. I now know how rare these are and have even had a shop tell me that removing the windings would be difficult because the coil was wound on the bobbin and then the laminated core was pressed together to hold it in place. You cant get the bobbin out without ruining the laminations.
When I get it back from them, I will test but I think my luck will not be good.
Mike
Quoted from undrdog:I have an old Wms 50v motor, if you think you can make it fit.
Can you PM some pics of what you have? I can see if it might work.
Thanks
Mike

How long was it fired up before it start smokin'?
I'm sure all the fuse holders are properly fused, and
if a motor is burned out, that circuitry's fuse will instantly
pop. It could be shot, but I'd still maybe check if one of the
motor's mech's is frozen up, or perhaps the motor itself needs
and can be freed up. I have a Variac (which is handier than hell),
but if you do decide to take the motor out for trial, you can
always jump it from a coil such as the Lock Relay or Coin Lockout
Coil from the gun game or a another machine that uses the same
voltage.

Thank you, you have a message.
Does anyone have a 10c mech that would fit that?

You are right, It did run for a while before it started to smoke. I shut it off and never fired it back up. I just recently moved it down to my shop and assumed the motor winding was shot. I am planning on picking up the motor on Monday and will return it to the game. I will in the meantime, check the countdown reels as that is the side where the windings are burnt. I will double check the fuses as well. I will report back on Wednesday.
Thanks
Mike
Quoted from izzy:Pinball resource rebuilds some motors.
Thanks. I saw someone else post a while back that this motor was not one that PBR rebuilds. But if my work on Tuesday does not pan out, I will contact Steve and see what he says.

Quoted from packie1:Is this a 2 windings motor? Cant tell from the pics.
I don’t know. I’ll check, but it’ll be after the weekend before I get back there.
It is a shutter motor from a bingo. Only one speed, if that helps.
Need the door guts to a mid 70's Bally EM, Night Rider, Aladins Castle etc etc. I have the skin but no harness or coin stuff.
thanks

Yea, I'm pretty sure there was a drag on that motor.
Do I understand that the motor is presently out of the machine?
If so, it would be nice if you could give it juice and see how it
free wheels before re-installing..
Looking for 2 Chicago coin score reel parts. Game is a ‘64 mustang. I know Bronco is mostly the same as well.
This one had a small fire in the head. One score reel melted as well as the operating arm/pawl that goes from the plunger the drive mechanism. Anyone have either part willing to let go?

Can we get some numbers off the motor frame. Voltage, RPM, and spec. I got a big box of old motors that might match up.
Quoted from packie1:What voltage and how if you could let me know?
Look back at post 8331
I'm pretty sure it's a 50V motor, but if the tag is still attached
at the fuse block, it should show the voltage for each fuse's
circuitry..

I checked today and it is 50V and has a 10amp fuse. I metered the fuse and it is fine. Now to wait till mid week when I get the motor back to test it. I also checked the schematics and same there as well.

I’m looking for a nice used centigrade 37 playfield. Id like to find someone who swapped in a Wade K repro in place of an already nice playfield.
Mine can be sent to you for that wall hanger project you were planning with yours
looking for 1 Bally roll-over assembly and associated parts:
the plastic button only can be sourced at Marco: https://www.marcospecialties.com/pinball-parts/C-587-6
I need all the items in the pic: the switch blade stop with metal wafer shaped washer, the plastic roll-over with keep & tiny washer , the metal housing that screws into the playfield and the larger washer there.
shipping would be to 03904
