So, I got a really nice Dirty Harry a couple days ago. I bought it and transported it about 250 miles in my SUV. It worked fine except the gun didn't work properly. It was never available to use at the start of the game or any other time. Then I get a 76 and 77 switch error. I checked the switches but one seemed weak so I changed it out. Still nothing. I get up this morning and go to turn the game on and get a U22 error.Game wouldn't start. I shut it off and restarted it and it came on with no U22 and no switch errors and the gun works PERFECT. What the heck does that mean? Any suggestions.

Quoted from topkat:

what happens when try to use it? does the ball go in but not fire? or something else
Also I know there is a setting to disable the gun in settings..

When you choose "load gun" it goes back and forth and you can shoot it. Before you didn't have a choice to "load gun" at all.I didn't change anything but put a new 77 switch.

Which switch is the 77 switch? I'm getting an error message on that one but my gun works fine. Thanks

It’s the switch under the Playfield that’s under the magazine that feeds the gun.

My dirty Harry is working perfect now.I think transporting it screwed it up a little bit but I fixed everything. Thanks for the help.

Is there any way to keep the ball from falling out of the gun? Only happens sometimes.

Quoted from ChrisPINk25:

jhanley somewhere in this thread this is mentioned. I believe you need to move the habit trail slightly back (or something like that).

thankyou

Quoted from Kas24:

Need to adjust the wire ramp leading to the gun all the way back towards the right side of the pin.

I did that.Works good now.

#1202 4 years ago

Is it possible to shoot a ball from the gun up the jackpot ramp? Mine won't.

#1204 4 years ago
Quoted from bssbllr:

The left ramp which is super jackpot , yes I do it at the start of Every multi ball to get the jackpot.

What about the right ramp?

Quoted from PAR:

Looking for a decal for the front of my DH, anyone have one or know a reasonably priced source, someone cut a hole in the cabinet for a coin box I guess, I'm planning to plug it by cutting a piece of plywood, sanding etc...

Hi guys. I'm having an issue with my DH. I've linked my topic in hope of getting some advice.

I would either bend the arm slightly over or if you take the ramps up I would check the magnet up on the right corner if it is mushroomed. That would kill 2 birds with one stone. Its quite a job taking up the ramps though.

Quoted from seah2os:

Has anyone ever tightened/replaced the rivets on the right ramp diverter? The rivets are loose and allow the horizontal diverter bar to dip down and get caught behind the opening in the ramp. Thanks!
[quoted image][quoted image]

I had the same problem. I bought a clamp from Walmart and adapted it to tighten the rivets. Here’s a picture of the tool.It cost 3 bucks to make.

Great idea! Better than pounding on it with a punch. Thanks!

Note ,I had to grind the tip at a 45 degree angle to work.

Quoted from rvermeire:

Picked up a DH and have the EOS of the upper flipper not connected.
It has 3 wires, 2 oranges ones and one black. On the left lower flip the orange is soldered at the lower pin while at the right flipper it's the opposite soldered on the highest pin of the eos.
Is this right, shouldn't it be the same?
And how should it be connected to the upper flipper ? anyone can share a picture of his setup?
Thx

Quoted from Scoot:

Well done with the hole. Is it me or does the magnet look like it's raised too much? It doesn't look flush with the playfield.

Yes. The ball will get trapped during play.
