Don't bother replacing it. Just take a grinder to it. I've done that with several magnet cores -- actually my buddy has as I don't have a grinder . Grind it flat and you're done. Re-install, enjoy

Quoted from Sammy31:Whoa! Never seen anything like that before
How long have you been collecting? That's very, very common especially on DH. The magnet is totally hidden so most assume it is fine and over the years it gets worse and worse.
Quoted from indypinhead:DH is easy compared to RoadShow or Demolition Man.
I did a complete shop job on DM. It was definitely a pain, but DH has a few things that caused me to pause. The way the ramps intertwine, lining up right habit trail and that metal diverter was a real pain. DM is no walk in the part, but neither is DH.
Quoted from TheLaw:You mean the way you have to torque the shit out of them to go back in...man I did not like that one bit.
Yes. Was over a year ago that I did the shop job and I recall it being fairly challenging. Like you, I really hated putting those ramps back.
Quoted from Sammy31:Ive done all 3. DH is more labour intensive but not by much ... Those long overlapping ramps go over everything.
I also found DH surprisingly challenging. When I looked at it, I thought, "Piece of cake". The ramps, wire frames and diverter really increased the time to get it done.
I also did a DM and found that one a chore. I have a RS, as well. Fortunately, that one was bought shopped. Ted looks like he would be a pain to take apart.
Quoted from swampfire:Sometimes I have to remind myself what a fantastic deal this game is at ~$2500 (what I have in mine). I considered selling mine to make room for a TWD, but I keep hearing Clint say "PUNK!" and I changed my mind.
Totally agree. I've thought of selling every now and again to change up the line up, but I cann't think of a good replacement that would result in no cash out. It's a hell of a bang for the buck -- which is getting harder and harder to find as prices continue to increase on most games.
