I'm not entirely sure why Pinside allows itself to be 4chan for purposes of these gatherings of outright falsehoods, liars and sham artists. Oh, the guy that profits on the stock market ignoring the virus has a hot sports opinion about medicine that supports keeping his pockets full and his investors' $$ right where it is? Shocking.

None of you will acknowledge the prediction that the virus is gone after the election. None of you. But I will. There will be dead horse beatings aplenty come December. Bet your ass on that.

I can't wait for the Q-Anon thread. That'll be fun.

oh, and can I get a moderator to go ahead and downvote this post for Phil-Lee? In fact, can Robin just write a code that automatically downvotes every post I make on any obscure topic by that guy? It'd save him a lot of work.

It's fucking South Dakota. Build a barcade to the heavens in the Sahara, too. This isn't rocket science.

Population density has to be added into the equation. We know from the initial disasters in Europe and NYC how that plays into things. You guys in California have that issue, too. Smother it out, but with the density as it is in the metro areas it just flames back up super fast again.

    Quoted from iceman44:

This really is more than just about Covid deaths isn't it? I thought we were talking about the death of the pinball economy as a result of shutting down the overall economy and the effects of doing so?
The results. Shit goes out of business. Everything. Daily.
Bottom line, it is what it is. Certain places are worse than others.
Once a vaccine is produced things will go back to normal and then there will be NEW pinball establishments that rise from the ashes.
Stern, Spooky, AP and now DR are making and delivering games again. CGC and JJP are next. Doom and gloom will be replaced with excitement again.
That's what we do. No point in arguing about it.

My concern is what this does to the overall mentality of the populous living through it, and especially those with the resources to invest and open new businesses that could replace the ones we are losing. I don't know about you guys, but I had a couple of grandparents that lived through the Great Depression, and they lived their entire lives affected by those few years of austerity and skimping. My grandfather buryed money in the yard up until he died at age 95. Never trusted banks completely. Never learned to throw anything away.

Will those of us watching the barcades go down dare get into that pool after this clears up? Nothing has ever illustrated the fragility of simple business economics in my lifetime. Ugh.
