So, we've been renting about 200 squaremetres for our private pinball club, Kristiania Flipperselskap.

We have about 35-40 machines and the core consists of six members.

However, the building we've been renting is beeing demolished this autumn. We recently secured a new, bunkeresque location and the idea of this thread is to post pictures and text about what is happening.

Just for fun, and because I personally would've followed such a thread. And the grammar police can stay the fuck out, ok?

    #2 3 years ago

This is how it looks now, pretty chaotic and suddenly 12 or so arcades needed a place to stay.

Following...sounds chaotic but fun and rewarding in the end.
Good luck with the move. Looks like you have some great games, maybe this is a chance to pick up some more!

More packing and also some photos of the classic section, and some miscellaneous.

Still lots to go, but with a great team of friends we can get anything done

It sure is nice to see heavy lifting beeing done when Im occupied at work.

Very productive day. All machines (but two) packed and ready for transport.

All carpet tiles removed and piled up at the new bunker.

Carpet tile installation has already begun. Regarding the ugly grafitti on the walls, all the walls will be painted black the coming week. Molton fabric will also be hung from the ceiling, to further reduce noise.

On Wednesday we will do the first machine/interior -haul and we are gonna move the rest coming saturday.

Looks like fun. You should have started carpeting from the other side the room so you could fight till the end.

You guys didnt happen to buy a Cybernaut a few years ago from Sweden? I heard that my old Cybernaut had gone to Norway to some pinball club.

    Luzur från Glada Huddik!

No, I dont think so, perhaps someone from Bergen or Trondheim bought it, they have active pinball clubs too.

Haha. Yeah, that grafitti. Some martial arts/karate/ninja/tmnt club had this place before us, and they chose to do this to the walls. And they werent that good at spelling either.

    #16 3 years ago

    Carpeting done!

(Not by me, I had to go home to my dog. )

If you zoom in on the picture you can see Edenecho standing proud.

Today we painted. It took two of us about 3 hours, and we were done. We decided that one coat is enough, all the walls will be covered by pinball machines anyway.

Tomorrow we start moving various things, like sofa, fridge, eight or so of the classics etc.

Ideally yes, but timing didnt allow that. But we used a cover for the floor when we painted. All good

Moved most of the interior and eight classics today, getting ready for tomorrow, moving the rest..

Gute arbeit! I like the blue carpet, it reminds me of the old Space Port Arcades. All you need to do is fabricate a few structures for the ceilings.

I always like to remind people that the only people that correct the grammar of somebody from a country that isn't primarily English-speaking probably can't speak a single word of that person's native language.

If you can speak two languages, as far as I'm concerned, you're better than me.

As for the grammar police, de kan gå og knulle seg.

Oh, and PS: It looks great!

    More LED-strips, shelfs, etc.

The BGs on the shelf are just placeholders, we have some extremly flakey and crappy ones to put there.

A while since last update, but we have been busy fixing machines, tidying etc etc. But we are planning on having a closed tournament with a very limited amount of people this saturday, so the club is quite ready now:

As you all might have seen from the former post and photos, moving 30+ pinball machines and prepping a room from zero is a lot of work, and we managed to capture the different stages of the process in a timelapse.

In preparation for a couple bigger tournaments coming up, and the fact that we wanted to try and make the location even more "open" we did some rearranging this week. I made a quick video walk though of our club after that, it looks very nice
