Quoted from Excalabur:What do you folks do when you've travelled to an arcade to play some pinball
Unfortunately Arcades have become a thing of the past (in the traditional sense) over here, not like when i was a lad. Ahhh MEMORIES--------using untold amounts of coins in the latest video games and pinball machines, playing the favourite song of the day/week/month/year Over and Over and even Over again on the jukebox. Seems a world away from today's youth who (only my observation) appear to have their heads DOWN and stuck in their phones eternally. I guess it's relative though, new toys for boys and gals
Quoted from Excalabur:I found oz pretty good for arcades compared to many places--brisbane has a whole bunch of timezones and so on. Was on the north queensland coast last year and nearly every small town had a machine or two on location.
Thats probably the case up North but most Timezones seem to have disappeared out of the CBD part of Melbourne and as for country areas, forget it
Quoted from centerflank:We on? Waxing Xmen/tumbling balls and replacing a sling switch, glad it has 6 wires to solder.
We are on indeed and about to replace the T-molding on my RFM from a "sick" coloured yellow (previous owners preference) to a nice green I've never been keen on the standard red myself !!
Quoted from pinsanity:Tom Cullen knows what time it is....laws yes.
Stephen King's "The Stand"? .....one of my all time fav books !!
Quoted from TigerLaw:Now officially moved to clubs section. I've never been more proud to be associated with a group of people before.
Completely appropriate and most worthy i feel. It is a pinball forum but we ALL have many and varied interests and like most things in our lives they are all interwoven into one weird, diverse tapestry. If this has become an art appreciation thread then all good in my book
Quoted from oldskool1969:reminds me of Herbie Hancock's ROCKET! remember that?
Yeah, sure do, got the tune in my head now
Quoted from TigerLaw:PavBall and I have been absent the past week since our return home. But we are back in the dark club!
A couple of Welcome Back pics !!

That's COOL
Quoted from Strange:valentina-2.jpg
Someone's going to comment "Nice pussy", i may as well break the ice
Quoted from Pinball-is-great:Did any of you guys/gals see the total lunar eclipse and take any pics you might share with us?
Also known as a blood moon. Seems to sorta be on-topic for this thread.
It was partially cloudy here, so missed most of it unfortunately
Something a little different to my normal posting habits. I've always admired the 3D street art that you sometimes see on the footpath (sidewalk), mostly in the cities usually. The images are truly mind blowing in their complexity, i SOOO wish i had that kind of talent !!
What i find more fascinating is that the artists KNOW that these images are not a permanent record of their talent but are still willing to spend all that time completing and perfecting them.
AWESOME!!
One shall be silent no longer, one shall scream from an upper story window (well, 1st floor), "I'm as mad as hell and i'm not gonna take it anymore", and then, after that mini rant and a slight bit of drooling, one shall post 3 pics and retire to the couch for rest and bourbony sustenance
star child-321.jpg Starchild_by_Asgard_Raven-315.png Catch a falling star.jpgApologies for the duel blank posts, got some "ghosts in the midst" going on with my internet it seems. Can you delete posts as aside from editing?
Looks like i'm not the only one having issues loading pics. I've found that on first post it doesn't work. If you edit, delete pic and reload the pic, then click on "finished editing" it works the second time (at least, does for me). Seems like the server issues haven't quite been sorted yet.
In regards what's been happening on pinside recently, about the content of posts, etc, i would like to say that i have found the images on this particular thread UPLIFTING. I feel that pretty much everyone that has contributed to this thread has posted pics, comments, etc in a mature and sensible fashion, and i for one would be sad to see it banned or moderated (i realize this hasn't been suggested, i'm just pre-empting a possibility). I really do believe that the pic's that have been posted have been in the true spirit of "Art for Art's sake" (yep, i know, it's a 10CC song , but i dig it). In closing, thanks for all the awesome pics and i vote 1 PLEASE come back Strange, i loved your post's !!
Quoted from TigerLaw:I like the rule of only posting when there are under 150 people online (or is it 200?).
Agreed and it was set at 150 by the OP, in a round about fashion.
Quoted from jlm33:Seems a nice place to live!
Nice climate for the south of Australia (Victoria) and 90 miles + of beaches with hardly any body to pester you .....Well most of the year anyway, lol
Quoted from TigerLaw:These were other avatars I almost used for Pinside:
Really like the 3rd one
Quoted from Circus_Animal:One of my favourite album covers:
Twentieth Century by Cold Chisel???
Quoted from Pinballlew:Where is that? That is awesome.
I wasn't sure myself so i did a google image search and here's the result
The Benagil Sea Cave is part of a system of caves that lines Portugal’s southern coast in the Algarve region. This most iconic cave is located just around the corner from a beach in the tiny town of Benagil.
Bob, i'm enjoying your posts. Just gotta mention that there was a "Gentleman's agreement" from early on in this thread/club that posts were to be made when the pinsider online count was less than 150. This was because of the title >> The dark (pin) side of the moon which related to the time when most of the US had shut down for the night and the rest of the world (Aussies, etc) came out to play, also included the night owls from the states as well No big deal, just thought i should mention it
