I have come to the crossroads.
I have not played the shadow. I love Drac. Would you pick up shadow and wait till a Drac is available closer and sell/trade? Or snatch the Drac? In your opinion, which one has more objectives? From gameplay footage, it looks like shadow has scenes. I could be into that.

The poll follows.

Thanks for your input!

To me, shadow is the more enjoyable game of the two. More modes, and more interesting game mechanics and features.

Both can be challenging, but BSD more maddeningly so because of the dangerous shots involved that can lead to ball drains.

On the other hand, unfaded BSD's are tough to find. If it's pristine, I may take that over TS just for the fact that really nice examples don't surface too often.

Thanks, the cab is faded on one side, but the playfield is excellent shape... is that equally as rare for a bsd? Meanwhile, the shadow is immaculate

I wouldn't pay a premium for it then. The playfield usually isn't too bad. You can usually find an average one in the low to mid $2k range.

I don’t know if I’d be able to find a low $2k around here, but I appreciate the security in knowing they do who up thanks. I think I’m gunna go with the shadow for a little while.

True, prices are generally a bit higher in CA overall.

Both of these games are a lot of fun, so you won't really lose either way. Between the two, though, I prefer The Shadow. I think it has more going on. I also prefer the theme, because even though Drac is cool, for me it's a little morbid to play all the time. I think the hipster factor on the Drac theme props up its popularity a bit artificially, and conversely the whole Alec Baldwin lame movie angle on The Shadow causes it to be a bit underrated compared to what its layout, gameplay, and ruleset have to offer.

Factor in the massive difference in travel burden, plus the decent pricing, and if I had the choice you have I'd go for The Shadow in a heartbeat.

$150+ in gas + $50 is crappy fast food + the lost 12 hours. The $3k pin has easily cost you $3200 if your time is free and not counting 600+ miles of wear and tear on your ride.

No "get both" choice in the poll? Dilettante.
