Great progress! The vinyl clock is also awesome! Please keep the updates coming.
I did not know that there was something like a "plintentang". Interesting.

How does that huge multiball lock mech work? The bottom coil is for ejecting the ball, but what is the purpose of the side coil that moves a white piece of plastic?

    #3766 5 years ago

    @DDDwingmaster, they call them
bead cutters in oz you can get them at glazing suppliers, CR Laurence is one for example.

    #3767 5 years ago

    Great work!

    I’ll be happy to explain!
There is a collector area with 2 ball switches where i want to enter the mech.
The blue coil holds the balls in place.
When the blue coil activates,it let’s a ball pass to the red coil that kicks it onto the playfield.
It is a real cool mech.

Is there a ball switch for the second coil too? Let me know if you got any problems getting that mech working with MPF. Should work a bit like a System 11 trough but reversed: http://docs.missionpinball.org/en/dev/mechs/troughs/two_coil_multiple_switches.html

Yes,the red upkicker has a switch too.
    A real fun mech.
Ofcourse it will be a nightmare to get it it going...but hey...i have an entire life ahead of me..

Time for the Pinball Amigos first crazy video of the week!!

This gang of irish travelers from the city of Cork,Ireland, are calling out a dude named ‘John-Paul’ for a fight
The editor put some subtitles under the vid cause Irish is hard to follow.
But it is mainly subtitled for the lack of braincells.
I advise you to be in a certain state of mind,i nearly died laughing

Since it has a switch this should work fine. I guess defining two ball devices should do it. Then add a ball_hold or multiball_lock if you want it to hold balls or stage them for a multiball. You can (but do not have to) define two separate playfields if you want independent ball search.

Eject broken should only ever happen if you define max_eject_attempts. Otherwise it will retry forever which is usually what you want. You can run mpf with -t to get the old behavior where it just shows the log.

I believe i added that line cause that ball won’t come out..

So it works in some cases but not in others? The first screenshot looks like it ejected as it should. Then in the second the ball does not seem to move. Does it pulse the eject coil? Or not at all? From the log it should do that.

Yup...the rubber stop is missing so the plunger(is it called a plunger?) sits too low for the coil’s electromagnetic field to grab it..

    Good Catch!

    #3791 5 years ago

    Yeah happyhappyhappy!
And with some dish soap it is easy to fit it in...
This is an epic example how a bloody $0,10 rubber coil stop takes 4 days from your life!
This ball eject issue occured in 1 out of 3 games.
Ofcourse you recently changed something and right there you start your search.
I even wrote a second (new) basic code to check if it had sumtin to do with my code.
Strangest thing about it; there is NO old, brittle, broken off rubber coil stop in the machine?
So how in the hell did it work flawless all this time.
A big lesson to y’all out there.
Start looking at dumb stuff first.
You often reach way too far in diagnosing an issue.

While i was at it,i installed a piece of lane guide over here,we busted that ball trough connector 5 times, breaking the wires off and such..
Bally had these connectors angled down into the cab.
For the record: this is the only thing thusfar i find kinda dumb about the fast pinball kit.
The boards work great and need minimal wiring due to the remote placement of the boards.
It is such a clever system.
With this plunger issue i experienced,i must admit i had some doughts about the network of boards, but as you see it was a mechanical issue.
So still really satisfied with the FAST boards.
I was equal happy with the P-ROC in Despicable Me Pinball Madness, you are all very very smart people.
We are just the dumb fucks trying to build something cool with it.
As i was thinking about it the other day,you could easily build something completely different with a board set like this?
You can for example control all kinds of stuff in your house with these boards, make an interface for your house out of it or sumtin....control your lights in your house with a bunch of 220 volts relais attached to the boards.
I learn so much about computers doing these projects...
I fully understand the “ones” and “zeros” people talk about...the only thing a computerchip can do is open a port?
    Yes or no voltage?
That is all there is to it guys!
Some of you all might laugh at me being such a noob, but remember i am a car mechanic at heart...so i am sorta exploring this new ground..and i enjoy it
