Mic wants to make a panel door that looks like one door but opens in two parts..hinging to the inside this time.
I did not like the visible mech stuff despicable me shows when the door is open..

Mic sawed the doors in half, oncoming week we’ll buy some tiny hinges in a hobby shop.
The doors need to open to the inside...there is little room inside the mansion and the door can’t open all the way if we made the door in one piece.
So this is the way to go...
Quoted from smiley:Great progress, as
Lways a fun read.
Thanks bro!
Last thing we do is attempt to cut a window out of our old despicable me playfield overlay.
Cause mic saw a great cracked window in there...

Awesome! The first time you get first flips on a system you wire up from top to bottom (or is it bottom to top?) is a pretty great feeling! Now things are going to really get moving!
Congrats guys!

Good call on that protector over the boards. For some reason, I always seem to drop the damn screws right down in the cabinet, it would happen to me. Also, the doors look great, real creativity there!
Is that it for this week? Noooo, I want more! Do now I have to wait a whole week to get more Pinball Amigos. I think I am starting to have withdraw symptoms mid week. Can never get enough of your pinball magic.
The doors look fantastic! I was hoping you guys would give the mansion a more run down look.
I love the concrete railing, but I was hoping it would have a few of the balusters missing or hanging loose. But it still looks good.
Awesome to see the doors evolve like that- super fun build and it would seem you have the FAST system up and running!! Congrats- seems like you got that running pretty easily- just a small hiccup and away you go@@!!
Quoted from Wolfmarsh:First contact!!! Badass!!!
Now anything is possible.
Love the way the doors are coming together.
Yeah!
Still for the life of me i dunno what went wrong with the other nano?
Why do we always blow something up at first try??

I think top to bottom..
Dude tell us what we owe u for the nano replacement and keep us in the loop for the servo boards!
Thanks for the service.

Yup,not gonna have that happening dude..no way!

But we were tired at 01:30

Yeah we are absolutely gonna give it that abandoned look,we’ll figure that out..
But the bannister build was so precise and then when it is ready it looks too perfect.
But we’ll airbrush it wasted/add some concrete cracks and some weeds growing through it and stuff.
Quoted from Mbecker:Awesome doors!!
Can the black nail go on the wall of misfortune when it finally meets its end??
No that failure belongs to the ‘weeks with injuries board’

Yeah it is a real nifty board set and goes to show if you learn something new,it makes building easier!
The Despicable Me build was based on world cup soccer cause we didn’t know anything about building custom machines.
So we were relocating every switch, coil and motor plus adding length to wires.
The figuring out what certain color wires were with the WCS manual took so much time.
But it was the best way we knew at that time.
In the despicable me code, every switch still has its world cup soccer name and that is not a big help either if you have whole new playfield layout.
Quoted from swinks:those doors are great, great progress for another week
Yeah Mic was shocked too they turned out this way...
We experience that often...we build something and an hour later we’re staring at it like:”duuuude that looks sick?”
Congratulations to getting it flipping! You might consider switching to MPF 0.50/dev right away since this is a new project. Should be sufficiently stable and will be released in the next month. That will save you the migration later on. Also gives you access to new features.

Thanks for the heads up Jan,i will totally do that.
With the DMPM pinball project we were on old v0.21 all the time plus the mpf website went down...that sucked ass.
As if it wasn’t hard to figure out already?
Start button idea: gargoyle with an open mouth. Make the start button recessed so you have to stick your finger in to press the button. Every x % of games, program in a light shock. The crazy lord with the watchful eye trying to scare you away. Tie the shocks in with an evil laugh outta the game

Yeah great idea!
We are putting a conventional start button in the cab(cause we need a basic game running to test our shots)and later we add an ornament or gargoyle.
You are getting it
Congrats on a great build so far Amigo's!
There's one thing that's been bothering me, and I hesitated to say anything because I don't want to sound critical....but.... On the balcony banisters, why aren't the corners nice banisters as well, instead of a square post?
Quoted from tommyp:Actually..if someone can 3d print one...red led's on the eyes would be pretty cool too...
Yeah that would be awesome right?

Haha, yes well,we actually found a lot of pics of bannisters online with the square posts on the corners!
I guess these concrete bannisters need to be reinforced on the corners or sumtin?

Please be critical btw,our point of view is kinda biased.
Your eyes and opinion are absolutely important to us.
This is by no means a “only give compliments” topic.

If somebody designs it I can print and mail it.
