First things first,we received two cool presents from pinball friends around the globe!
Bakerman from France Build us an awesome blinder mech from Tommy Data East!
That is gonna rock!
Thanks man!
And Wayne Johns from England send us a cool artpiece made with a laser!
Mic is hanging it as we speak on our build wall
Thanks bro, real cool, you can see your art weekly in our topic!
Quoted from Dee-Bow:Let's be honest... AMIGO'S don't need no stinking instructions!!
Quoted from swinks:Fast gear does look good but hard to find info when you need it, here is one diagram that I picked up I think from there slackforum, though maybe Aaron can chime in on if trustworthy
Thanks guys!
You are both great motivators!
Meantime Mic started to take our bandsaw apart,it was useless, you could hold your face against it and it would only polish your skin a bit.
Bought a new sanding belt...
linisher attachments are awesome, though if possible rotate it down as it will be easier to use as it spins towards you and a little less chance of hurting yourselves - silly me you like danger
also take note of the arrows on the belt, if they go on the wrong way they will fail much faster.
these are a great tool, watch those finger tips

Danger is our first name, not even our middle name dude
Amigos - those wires don't look very beefy...
Make sure they are a high enough gauge (AWG) to handle the current going to appropriate devices.
Might be time to invest in a pair of Molex crimps and a spool of wire.

Hey amigo,
Yeah i have one,but it’s too big!
I ordered a new one and we have this molex stuff too!
But we need to wait for the tool.
Meantime i use connectors and move the key to the right spot
We wanna build!
No time to wait for stuff to arrive
They look like microwaved left thumbs! Haha.. dipped in bbq sauce and mayo?! When do we see ol' skully!?
Quoted from Dee-Bow:They look like microwaved left thumbs! Haha.. dipped in bbq sauce and mayo?! When do we see ol' skully!?
Yeah...it is about time right..
It’s something past eleven o clock here
We can probably go for a skull shot!
Cheers friends all over the planet..
Quoted from pinballrockstar:Boom! Some rj45’s to complete the i/o board loop...
How about some spaghetti to go with your beer bombs.
Quoted from Travish:How about some spaghetti to go with your beer bombs.
Yeah messy stuff right?!
Hm,this Fast stuff does not have a clear manual online...just a bunch of loose ends.
Looked at the Slack stuff, the mpf files about Fast...ehh no...we need a tutorial step by step.
After that i can write some stuff in mpf,no sweat...but we can’t get this stuff going.
The PROC simply connects to bally boards and off you go..
But this is blurry stuff
I wrote a simple code in mpf and hooked up a switch and a motor but stuff won’t respond
I am not sure these boards are connected..
Gotta wait till somebody has a video: programming fast for dummies...bummer!

We are streamlining and consolidating the docs to include only what is used in new game designs. Almost there.

You guys checked which com ports pop up when you plug in the usb from the Nano into your computer and com3 is the 2nd com port (in order) that pops up? Installed drivers for the boards right?
It looks like mpf is hanging looking for the port - which would happen if it’s trying to connect to the 1st ftdi port which isn’t used on the nano... just a thought of something to try.
Quoted from pinballrockstar:And Wayne Johns from England send us a cool artpiece made with a laser!
Glad you got it.
It is actually done with a soldering iron - the only thing I can do with a soldering iron seems to be burn stuff.
I must've missed it somewhere, but why are the amigos using Fast this time and not the P Roc system?

Yeah, ftdi driver in place, check on the com ports, using the second one.
Still nothing..thanks though!

Wow! That was an insane amount of work in that case dude!
We figured it was made in one of those 3d print housing-lasery-type of machine
Real cool and it deserves a spot on our wall.

The dudes from Fast approached us and we figured it would be a challenge to try something else!
Well,it is a challenge indeed!
I already ordered a baseball bat on Ebay
Are you guys using Windows? You can use my FAST Playground to test the hardware without MPF.
You can download it here: https://github.com/Wolfmarsh/FASTPinballPlayground/releases/latest/
Just put the DLL and EXE in the same folder and run the EXE. Let me know if you run into anything. We gotta get you chatting in slack, I can probably help you with whatever error you are getting there too.

Ok that makes more sense then, I figured it was something like that. Yeah I think you guys would've been better to stick with p roc. Especially since you know it and have successfully built with it. Good luck, will be following!
Quoted from Atari_Daze:Hey there amigos, good to see you back on a Friday. Rock on.
Hey buddy!
Let’s start friday with a bang!
