    Hey Baz!

Have you guys thought about taking your pics, clips, and some interviews to make a pinball documentary?

I think it would be hit! Ask Netflix for a couple million......

    #11452 3 years ago

I could totally see the next build as a reality show

    #11453 3 years ago
    Quoted from pinballrockstar:

Yeah we want to do sumtin cool with it,but the letters actually need to stay open...they suck the smoke off the playfield.
So if we put for example green plexi in,the smoke doesn’t clear from the playfield...we are going back and forth over this every Friday

Looks like the backrest board is what .... 3/4"? What about lining each letter with an LED strip? Leaves the option to evacuate smoke. Or maybe drilling a hole below each letter, inserting a wire lead LED bulb and a cap over the LED to diffuse it? Just spit balling but either solution falls well under $600 LOL

My poor attempt at humor... Stern charging $600.00 for a topper with letters that light up ...
    Sorry it was lost .

Hey you too brother Swinks, always good to see you here amigo!

Thank you amigo,we always appreciate feedback, good or bad!

But it would be damn cool !

Could you space the green plexi a bit so it doesn't seal completely to the backboard? That way, you'd get the lighting effect and the space provided would allow you to clear the smoke as well?

I'm sure you'll find a great solution. Thanks for sharing this build with us!

Ok Bas now you’re scaring me.....oh that’s the point

Amazing how much it transforms the game to that finished look just by putting in the plastics. This LE put Stern and others to shame with all the mechs in it. More mechs in your headbox than most have in their entire games. Stellar job Amigos.

Thanks amigo, really looking forward to playing the finished Crazy Mansion!
But patiently building towards a solid working machine

Have you had any time to start writing the actual code?! Or just waiting for a complete game then start from there!? && dayumm!! Love the progress!! That floor lifts up and down smooth as Tennessee whiskey!

    Hey amigo,
Well , you can’t write code while the machine itself is in pieces...you need to test every line you write.
    It’s a tedious process.
I once wrote a lot of code without testing and it just bit me in the ass...you simply can’t find what the bug is.
    About the rising mansion:
We are very content with the succesful tests...we are gonna step up from 12 volts to 16 volts to see if we can get it up and down a bit faster.
With the ball in play, you want it to appear and disappear real fast, otherwise you get balls going down in the cab like with dr.Evil in the Austin Powers machine.
But yeah, thanks man,we also really look forward to testing and shooting strange videos with our green screen to add to the code.

    #11463 3 years ago

Oh man.. the videos are gonna be fukkin hilarious! Maybe a back alley secret vid ..instead of midnight madness..4:20 reefer madness hahaha..can't wait!

    That there is genius
plus it would be a good way for my glass to be incorporated into the game

Are you familiar with or have you tried the Monitor function of MPF, it might help you with testing?

Nope,i don’t understand it and that’s totally on my part,i advise everybody to learn that trick.
I heard a lot of great feedback about it.
But i just write and test stuff ... i am from 1976 people,i am like...a commodore vic20 with its 4K memory trying to mine a whole bitcoin in 2020.
If i learn something new, something else is gonna be erased from another petition of my brain.
Last year i learned to solve a rubiks cube and a week later i was staring at my coffee machine, unable to get coffee out of it...

The heat revealed a problem with our protector,we made it too tight and it is swelling up in the middle with these temperatures so we need to take off a bunch of stuff on one side of the playfield and trim it a little, better to find it out at this stage

We made all holes bigger and freed up the apron so the protector lies free everywhere now...

See? Theres a few mm around the apron now..and all the holes in the protector are bigger now...so the protector can move about now..
