We are shooting for a reverse lower playfield with reversed flippers...why? Cause it is a crazy mansion...

Dang that third picture Mick was measuring sooo fast the camera couldnt focus fast enough!!!

    #806 6 years ago

No that is not the camera,Mic itself gets out of focus and blurry sometimes.
We never told him but it is quite scary
Here on this pic it happens again!

    Perfect cut..

    #811 6 years ago

Now we make an extended cut for the dmd,we are mounting it underneath the playfield, behind the reverse flippers, barely clearing the monstrous mansion mech.

    I accept that title. LOL.

It's taken me all day to get caught up to everything...fridays are my mondays...terrible. And every other week it's paying bills bills bills. I don't read much Pinside when I'm at home.

    #822 6 years ago

We are going to put the hinges on and throw the playfield back in,so we can determine the reverse angle of the lower playfield.
    Man this is fun!

    IMG_8219 (resized).JPGIMG_8219 (resized).JPG

    #823 6 years ago

    Okay let's mount these!

    #828 6 years ago

It was not possible to put the playfield in when the brackets are reverse...lesson learned!

    #829 6 years ago

    Okay,moving on!

    image (resized).jpgimage (resized).jpg

    image (resized).jpgimage (resized).jpg

    #832 6 years ago

    Perfect!

    image (resized).jpgimage (resized).jpg

    #833 6 years ago

Okay, the dmd attached to the under playfield

    IMG_8228 (resized).JPGIMG_8228 (resized).JPG

    #834 6 years ago

So this is the rough plan,2 flippers downstairs and 2 pop bumpers.
On the 2 sides,we are gonna make 2 rows of targets, spelling the insert words "crazy" and "mansion".
Lite both words and you can shoot straight down the middle for mental jackpot

    IMG_8230 (resized).JPGIMG_8230 (resized).JPG

    #835 6 years ago

    Let's bolt this in place!

    IMG_8231 (resized).JPGIMG_8231 (resized).JPG

    #836 6 years ago

Mic and dick are drilling a hole in the dmd,if it wasn't broken before, it is now

very cool, am assuming there will be a clear plastic panel infront of the dmd for protection but will this cover have a taper to one side or the other to aid in draining the ball to a side/s?

will the ball be static in the lower playfield or drop from the top playfield?

    Yes,a cover for the dmd.
There will be an actual ball traveling to the under playfield and back up.
Inbetween the 2 flippers will be a hole for the ball drain, connected to a subway..
This thing is gonna be superweird, you can feel it in the atmosphere over here.
We are in the zone with this pin.

with that shot of you guys and the heads - it looks like mini me's next too you

    #845 6 years ago

Very neat. Can't wait to see.

    #846 6 years ago

The head on the left looks like Terry Bradshaw. Really enjoy following you guys!

    #847 6 years ago

Very interesting project. One thought, why limit the lower pf with such a small size? If ball going down, and coming back up, additional mechs could be mounted on the lower pf. Think of Black Hole.
    Good luck, will follow.

Small? That thing looks just as big if not bigger than Black Hole's to me... wonder what the actual size difference is.

    #849 6 years ago

The window size is similar. Black Holes lower pf is over twice that size. I have one and get a pic. The entire surface is not used in play, but supports mechs that are out of view.

    #850 6 years ago

    It's about 2' x 3'.
