    #5607 5 years ago

Same spring to attach the servo, just let stuff move a little, what’s the worst that could happen?

    Oh! Almost forgot!
I also lowered this head(extended the bracket a bit)so you don’t see the head’s chin anymore(or the lack of it).
It makes a crazy difference,it feels perfect the way it sits now.

Great progress! Really love those servos! Can't wait to see (and hear!) the full and final multiball start sequence. It's gonna be EPIC!

I really wish my own Roadshow had servos instead of solenoids. The servos makes the eye and eyelids move so much more realistic. Plus they are much more quiet than those clunky solenoids. I really love how Red & Ted look around the playfield and at each other, but the noise just ruins the illusion.

Maybe i need to send my Roadshow to the Amigo headquarters for a Red & Ted servo conversion?

Looking forward to following again next friday. Guess i'll have to kill some time until then by visiting some of all those awesome and dirt cheap "loppemarkeder" we have around here

Yeah the old solenoids in the heads were superloud?
    I totally love these servos!
Imagine what roadshow would be lie if Pat Lawlor had acces to servos back in the day..
Hey man,can i come along visiting loppemarkeder?

    Quoted from swinks:

    Hey amigo,thanks,
Yeah...servos are so much fun to play with.
And real easy to install them cause they are super tiny!?
    Best invention ever.

    #5625 5 years ago

That is so cool. Your imagination of how it will be when multiball starts is awesome Bas.
I’m still in awe that you have taught yourself to code. 10 Thumbs up

    #5626 5 years ago

Good job but I think it would be better if the shutter opened and closed completely

    Thanks bud,
When my Aerosmith starts multiball,it’s just balls rolling down the playfield?
    LAME!!
Multiball start should be an insane explosion of things happening...all your senses need to be triggered?!
    BOOOM! MULTIBALL!!!!!!

    Quoted from yoyokopter:

Good job but I think it would be better if the shutter opened and closed completely

Yeah i agree, but we only need to move them a little for visual effect.
Plus Mic made the shutters to look nice from only one side, the other side looks less nice.

    #5628 5 years ago

Sigh...first time i play funhouse,a bulb comes rolling down the playfield and rudy’s eyes work halfass...he only looks left
True,i let my driver guy pick up machines...i should go myself.
But i ask the right questions and i still always get screwed over by people?
Something is working 100% or not?
Never €1 discount,i am always paying asking price and still get crap machines.
People! I have limited time in my daily life!
I can’t repair everything all the time?
    Even i need some fun

The head comes out pretty easy actually, they really made this thing easy to service...gotta admit.
Looking at all the screws and bolts mismatch, somebody did some earlier repair attempts already

Well look at that...i guess my premature anger against the Belgium seller is weakened a bit...he still sold me the thing with a defect, but it is only a loose connection.
I was about to rant and go medieval on the guy(kidding,i don’t harm a fly...i am kind of a pussy actually).
    Let’s solder!

Man that was a quick fix!
And the bulb came out of the right sling...
I am very close to playing Funhouse finally.

    #5636 5 years ago

I need to mount the bulb from the underside playfield.
    Bastard won’t go in.

    And one other quick fix!
The machine is mine so i can do whatever i want right?
The leds are so bright ... i cut a piece of t shirt and just hung it over them.
Gonna order some bulb sleeves but for now i am not blinded by these awful bright leds!

Do you mean the wrong part?
I have no clue if that is supposed to be there

    #5644 5 years ago

Everything you do just amazes me!!! This whole pin is a mixture of old junk, used parts, new parts, custom made parts, bubble gum and duct tape! And it is awesome!!! Your creativity is right up there with the Masters. My brain can't think of enough good things to say because, for me, it is impossible to put my emotions into words . . . words to tell you the thrills I get when I see one of your "inventions" come to life. Like these shutters. I'm simply mystified!

I'm glad you had to watch the Griswalds do their Christmas thing. I've had to do that with my kids and now my grand kids. I was sort of like you, I wanted to do MY things and not sit down for two hours in front of the TV. But, you won't be sorry you did it a few years from now. Those times are precious and can't be done once the kids get older. Just not the same.

Thanks for all the extra work you do in taking pictures and sharing. I feel like I'm there with you. I know where all your tools are located and how to find them now. I know that room as well as my own garage! Ha.

    Have a good week.

Yea. It's a different fixture and has a hood. Granted they tend to get broken from the trap door hitting them.

Thanks Mike, thanks for taking the time to write that, real cool man.
I really want to create a topic that feels like a front row experience.
Take all of you along with us on this build journey.
The kids loved Chevy Chase and it is stuff you need to do ‘cause they grow up so fast...
It is even harder nowerdays to do stuff together, they are absorbed by Apple products 24/7 if you don’t guide that a little.
Oh and can you tell me where my red needlenose pliers are? Been looking for them for a while

    Ah?! I never noticed?
I did notice the machine been worked on a lot...lots of tiny details are wrong.
So you’re not hurting my feelings by pointing that out, glad you told me.
Gonna source the right parts and bring it back to 1990 quality

People, this to me is the holy grail.
Look for this brand,it is so smooth!

So I have been sharing the Friday builds with my coworker Pat...she paid attention my friends, and gifted me this bottle for my 50th birthday this week. My first BenRiach, it's the heavily peated version and is fantastic! My new official Friday sipper while I catch up on both builds, so my thanks to you for the great gift idea for me, haha!

    AMIGOS!

Spent last weekend in Albuquerque at an AirBnB where the host (Danielle) was from Holland! She was very cool and it was a wonderful and inexpensive place to stay.

So funny, when she scolded her children it was all in Dutch! All I could tell was they were misbehaving.

Here is a picture of her and her two boys and also a picture of her tablecloth. I'm sure it will make you homesick! (Oh wait, …)

I see one straight guy macking on a lassie but also two (what appear to be) poofdas! All good, I'm sure they're just gay in the old "When Johnnie comes marching home" sense. ( - : Or drinking Heineken as you should be and bonding.
