    Quoted from zombywoof:

I thought AP completely ditched the non-functional mock up that JPOP did for them and started over with Joe Balcer. As far as I remember, the only thing the shipping Houdini has in common with the JPOP design is the theme.

Yeah i see it now, never compared the pic to the current machine.
The most unusual thing about houdini is the theatre/pops/ramp section being the center of the playfield.
Just this superfunctional strange cluster of things in the middle.
    It amazes me?
It is an absolute instant classic.
    Period.

    #5252 5 years ago
    Quoted from snakesnsparklers:

Yep. Houdini still has an essence or "stank" of Jpop if you will.

Oh wow,i sense some anger right there...were you in on one of the Zidware pins?

    #5253 5 years ago

    Jpop is a asshole.
But if you send money for a pre order (complete sum) your a idiot.
btw Houdini is great, love it.

Zidware was a damn rough situation,i absolutely love jpop pins, but it turned out our pinball visionair was a horrible, horrible businessman*.
That aiw/raza/mg topic was all over the place, everybody got into random digital fights with eachother, armchair wrestler’s opinions everywhere, binary rage, numeric confusion...wow those where a bunch of crazy years..
I watched that topic like a hawk.
I believe i remember that at one point,if you entered that topic you passed a picture of the gates of hell.
It was a lawless topic where not even a brave moderator dared to tread.
Yes..the days of the demise of Zidware...

*Some ritalin could’ve saved everybody from a lot of misery...

TBH; I wouldn't own a sign JPOP pin because of what he did.
Same for Dutch... Same for Kevin. It's also why I'd never consider a Houdini
Just no way I would ever associate my money against these villians.
Not saying everyone should do the same; I'm just saying that is why *I* won't be expanding my collection to these people.

Heineken is my favorite beer , i'm going to have some when i go off call this friday and follow along with the amigos as they build a pinball with the pinball community watching , its' your guy's show and its all been about sharing of ideas and the positive energy with the innovative idea to actually spend your time building this pin with everyone this is great with great energy and I think most of us can be more supportive of this process and be mindful of the these great artists and they are all doing this with the added difficulty of documenting the process and responding to all our inquiries , good job guys

I understand dude, but apparantly making pinball is hard?
Everybody goes bankrupt or gets in serious trouble.
I am trying to stay as objective as i can,cuz this is a happy place over here.

Thanks Dragon, some fridays it is a monumental task,i barely lay my phone down sometimes while building.
Keeping an eye on what the guys are doing and “pausing” them when i see a photogenic moment.
It is waaaay too much work, but it’s a real fun and cosy topic...everybody’s happy over here...couldn’t ask for more.
    Thanks everybody!

P.s. Best beer in the world

    #5258 5 years ago

yeah zitt is understood for his frustration on that topic as it came up , I'm sorry that he's hurting . he's got a neat little mod business

I actually hurting for the victims... as I really didn't have skin in the game.

Congrats on the new game... but more Mansion.

    #5260 5 years ago

Yeah lets get this out of the swamp, or put the swamp back in the Mansion, or something like that...

    #5261 5 years ago

Alright..EVERYONE out to the back alley for a safety meeting

    #5262 5 years ago

Yeah, let’s regroup in the alley everybody! It 180’s your opinion about everything straight away,or most of the time you forget your opinion
    Works everytime!

Yeah you are a solid guy John, you stick with your (JPOP) opinion and that says a lot about a person.
One can read you as a stubborn or solid guy but eitherway you stand your ground.
I remember we bumped heads in the JPOP topic back in the day...
You were like:” JPOP is a crook!”
I at that time was like still hoping for a positive outcome:”what do you care?! You only buy Startrek pinballs!! Look at your collection!!”

And now today,i push the zitt pinball icon and i see Despicable Me Pinball Madness is on your wishlist.
It just goes to show we pursue the same stuff man...and we all deal differently with drama?!

I bumped heads with Josh Kugler too a while ago,and now i play his Houdini (and lord knows i tried to find sumtin negative about the code )and i think the guy is a giant.
If you have a Houdini in a home situation,it is just a blast man..

Sometimes stuff gets real dark but everytime in hindsight i go like:”fuck this is a great guy? Why did i go medieval on him?!”.

    You catch my drift right?
I guess it is human to bump heads sometimes but let’s keep that minimal cuz we are all here for the same awesome hobby.

So exciting news from earlier this week
Our package from Fast pinball arrived!
I guess they can retire by now,we must have bought all their boards (joke).
It passed customs and no tax was added to the package!
It was not like we manipulated anything
    Wink wink say no more...

Next thing i did this week was an update to the alley...it gets dark earlier and it gets hard to find parts with your flashlight(according to my son i am very old and that’s the problem , yep...he actually said that ) so we need more light in the alley...already made a roof over the alley so i can easily add a light ... i took my spare tube light home from my shop.

    Hahahaha!
This was alley crap and it pushes an aluminium profile up so the pvc pipe goes just a little higher

    #5279 5 years ago

To prevent everything falling of this barstool,i gently placed this plastic piece of old crimp inbetween the wall.
