I have learned to never say 2 words around my girlfriend. Spider and Snake. If I do f up and say those 2 words I may hear did you get it yet for longer than I care to deal with while trying to relax and have a beer.

    #1693 4 years ago

When I was 6 we were at a motel and a cat was walking around the pool. I was curios if cats could swim so I threw it in the pool. It swam awesome. And I could swim so I would have jumped in after it if needed.

Anyway turns out the cat belonged to the motel owner's girlfriend, and he was laughing his ass off but had to kick us out to keep his girlfriend happy.

I did not get in any trouble, Mom hated that motel and was ready to get somewhere else. We were only there because Dad was working out of town and we were visiting with him and the 3 of us were leaving for vacation anyway.

The cats got me back later in life. I was scratched by a kitten that belonged to my neighbor(trying to help him get it off his roof) and was sick a lot then and still have some problems because now I have cat scratch disease. Not to be confused with the Ted Nugent song. People think I am joking, but it is no joke. Mainly affected my eyes. I can see fine but I have a spot in a eye that I can not read a eye chart through. No cure, once you get it you will always test positive for it.

    Quoted from SBrothers:

I love my Munsters Premium even though Pinside feels I shouldn’t.

Munsters is not that far back in the top 100 than my Oktoberfest, that I love and have been playing a whole lot more than my JJPOTC that is in the top 10, or MET prem in the top 10 that has not been turned on in close to a year.

Pinside is a awesome guide, but you still have to see what you really like yourself.

    Quoted from punkin:

I lump storage units in with poker machines as a financial trap for the poor and weak of thinking.
    I hate both.

    I 1000% agree.

In my 20's I had a friend that was not too bright and he had went to Rooms to go and bought all this furniture and he did not even have a house, and was asking to store all the crap at my house.

I said hell no. I said why did you even buy all that crap? He said because it was on sale. I said Emmitt, they have a sale all the time, do you not get that?

Last I ever heard all that crap is still sitting in another friends basement 30 years later.

In my late 20's with the internet business I had going on I was running out of room for more inventory. One friend in a similar business had 10 storage units rented already.

I said hell no, called my county to see what size storage building I could build here, and had basically a very nice commercial steel building built on my land so I would not have to rent a damn thing.

Back when I was a teen I tried a poker machine for like 20 minutes and said screw this. I see people playing those and I just feel sad for them.

Anyway, if I ever do get crazy with pinball machines, between my man cave and my storage building I have over 2700 sq ft. But I would not get crazy anyway. I can dream, but I know I only need a few and sell sometimes for something else.

I confess that when playing JJPOTC with my girlfriend she plays 1 and 2, and I play 3 and 4, so if plundering comes up we can do that, but just from our own extra game going on. Before this it could get ugly.

    #1741 4 years ago

I confess. Do you remember y2k and everyone was stocking up on supplies?

The only thing I bought was 40 cases of beer.

And it all was consumed. Some of my friends ended up throwing away a lot of stuff they had stocked up on, but not me.

    #1742 4 years ago

And I also confess that since my last speeding ticket I have slowed down a tad, but when I am in the fast lane I watch my rear view mirror all the time, and I get the hell out of your way. And I always did that anyway, just more now, because I am a tad slower. (0 points, just trying to keep insurance from getting greedy).

    #1744 4 years ago

I had more, I just did not want to admit it.

    #1747 4 years ago
    Quoted from RCA1:

    nothing happened all night

The only thing I know of that did happen was the next time I went to the drug store to fill a prescription somehow their computer had me listed as 100 years older.

    #1748 4 years ago

I confess it does tick me a little that NIB games do not come with art blades already installed and included in the price.

I confess that I big time hold back not posting stuff on here I did when I was a teen.

Someday... I will have a tad too much to drink, and do some funny damn posts.

In the meantime I confess I am about to get a multicade arcade game and not a pinball, and moving a whole lot of junk around for where I want it.

At least my space is ready for the next 2 pins without moving anything. And all I know is the next AP game goes in the first space.

    #1780 4 years ago
    Quoted from Rondogg:

A surprising number of spare parts in my workbox are because I ordered the wrong thing or way too many of the right thing.

I have a 30x30 metal storage building like that. And I confess that I added a 2nd floor.

    #1794 4 years ago
    Quoted from snowy_owl:

I honestly hate data east pinball machines.

    I hate Gottlieb pinball machines.

    #1795 4 years ago

And I confess the last few weeks I have spent more time on old school arcade games than my pins. But variety is nice, and the pins will get played again soon.

    #1797 4 years ago
    Quoted from Tranquilize:

Sometimes reminisce about checking the coin return slots for free quarters back when I was an impoverished arcade kid.

I confess I am still a kid and check coin return slots.

    #1798 4 years ago

And I confess my girlfriend is probably right. While I brag that I have never messed with facebook or any of that kind of thing she tells me well you do spend a lot of time on Pinside.

I confess I have had about 3 more beers than I needed to have tonight.

And I confess I am addicted to Pinside.

BUT, I do prove her wrong when I learn a new trick we can use on a pin, and she asks how did you learn that, and I say... on Pinside.

    #1814 4 years ago

    I currently have many confessions:

    1. I have had way too much beer tonight.
    2. A tiny chance to see snow here so I had just went and turned the outside light on to look.
    3. No f-in snow falling here, and I am so glad, you people up north can keep that shit.
    4. But I do like to see a few flakes, just not day in and day out like up north.
    5. My internet was down for a while, and I was like ok, when is the ransom message going to appear.
    6. Sad that hackers and whatever else is doing so much bs to make me paranoid anymore. AND, all my shit is protected, so no need for that, I just still do.
    7. I can sleep all day if I want, so I am going for more beer.

Anyway, just goofing off with a buzz, but for real. I wish each and every one of you a awesome holiday season, and a awesome new year!

    #1816 4 years ago

The first 5 days after the weekend are the hardest.

    #1827 4 years ago

I confess that certain things I was supposed to use some money for when I was 12 did not happen and instead that money went into games at the corner store.

    #1850 4 years ago

I have never really been in a fight, more like scuffles when I was in elementary school. I still have pencil lead in my leg and above my eye from those.

My confession is every time I see I have a pm message on here I hesitate to open it. I start thinking...when I was on here drinking last night, did I do anything to get moderated about. I try to behave while having fun on here.

    1 week later
    #1892 4 years ago

I confess that I am glad the Holiday season is over, it was causing my girlfriend a lot of stress.

I have no stocks and I will never mess with all that. I do have a uncle that bought tons of Home Depot stock right when it came out, and I am happy for him.

I am glad when the stock market does well, because it seems everything is going pretty well.

I am so tired of political ads on TV. Whatever happened to the good old days with funny Bud and Bud Light commercials?

The Bud knight stuff is not that funny.

I just wish we could all get along all the time, and make each other smile and laugh.

I am no better than anyone else, sometimes I roll my eyes at what someone says, and I know they roll their eyes when I speak also.

I get tired of seeing news stories about car jackings and phone scams, but at the same time the stories are a good thing to alert us.

If some people would actually try to do good as much as they try to harm, the world could be a much better place.

At least we all have one awesome thing, karma. Karma can bite you in the ass if you need to be calmed down, or it can help you big time when you are trying to be awesome.

And so funny how social media gets idiots busted anymore. Idiots robbing banks or whatever then posts whatever pics with them smiling with the cash.

I really like that movie Idiocrasy, and the older I get that is the way the world seems.

    Quoted from swampfire:

    10x10 unit today - $61 a month

Damn, I really need to clean out my 30x30 2 story storage building in my back yard and start renting it out!

As far as saving money, I used to love this country buffet a few years ago when it was 6 bucks. When they went to 8 bucks is when I said I will no longer eat out so I can have more pin money. That has worked really well!

In the last few years I have also shaved my cable, and cell phone, and it is like free money!

And it is nice, I know I could shave even more and just retire now if I wanted.

When you want to save money, there are so many ways to it is unreal.

(save enough and that new pin feels like it was free).

    #1940 4 years ago

This could go here, or the Bitch Thread, but I really hate Tattoos. Why? Why did you do that? You think it is cool and looks good, I think it looks stupid.

I love dogs, and I like the tv show Pit Bulls and Parolees. The dogs are awesome, but damn those people in that show I can barely look at with all that crap painted on them, they just look sick.

And for the most part people that can not afford them are the ones that does it. Long ago I had some sorry tenants that would be a few bucks short on their rent, but I seen that brand new tat and knew where my money went.

And I really respect one of my good friends, and I noticed he had a tat on his ankle a while back. I just rolled my eyes and thought, why?

Kind of weird but I do kind of like a tiny diamond on a ladies nose, but the bigger rings and big time the big ear crap some people does just looks sick also.

By far the worst is face tats. Why did they do that? And most of the time when I see that footage they have just escaped jail, or just robbed a store.

BUT, even though I cringe looking at people with that stuff, I do not judge. That is one good thing about the pit bull rescue show, I can not stand to look at what those ladies have painted all over themselves, but they have great hearts, and great personalities, and they are trying to do some good in the world.

I have one friend that does not make much, and every few years he has to have a brand new truck. And after that 5 year loan he has to have another brand new truck with another 5 year loan. At least he is not blowing money on tats, although the tat money may would last longer for him. Oh yeah, trucks and food. He eats at Golden Corral pretty much everyday. That adds up. But he stays broke and happy and we are best friends.

To the other extreme I know some wealthy people that never travel, never do anything for fun, and are in their 70's now, and I keep thinking you really should get out and see and do some new things while you still can. One of them actually was going to travel 300 miles one time to go deep sea fishing, and got there and it was raining, and he turned right around and came back home the same day, and that was the only trip he and his wife ever went on.

Me: not doing any tats, no brand new trucks, not eating out much, but I will travel, have some pins(and pins are fun and hold value pretty decent).

To each his own, and my friends that have tats and truck notes think I am the crazy one for having pins.

    Quoted from Da-Shaker:

I always forget to put the balls back in the game after working on it. I'll then start a game and have to slide the glass back to reinstall them.

I never did that, but at first I did just raise the playfield and have to hunt the balls forever until I learned how to take them out in the first place.

I have maybe 800 CD's and youtube has made me too lazy to mess with the CD player. There are 2 songs I want to hear now, and they are not on youtube. Headache by The Press, and Don't Bother Me by Public School.

Out of the blue I will have a song in my head, hearing it 100%, and trying to sing along even though I do not know the lyrics, and have not even heard the song in 20+ years.

The song of today was Man On The Silver Mountain, and when I did youtube, it was Rainbow that did it.

And I confess, I know way too much old music because when I was a teen, I would fall asleep in my Lazy Boy recliner, with headphones on. And it was nice my parents just left me alone with all that. I was making good grades, and not getting into any trouble.

And I confess I like one really old song that most guys would just pretend never happened. I am woman by Helen Reddy. Man I seen the cute girl that lived next door practicing that back when I was like 11. In the short shorts and short lacy socks.

She later performed it at whatever the school had going on at the time on stage.

And thinking back to the old days when I was young...the girls around here looked pretty damn good and I was always happy to get invited to a game of spin the bottle.

On my last beer of the night and ending with Life's Been Good To Me So Far by Joe Walsh.

It just hit me. Recently I had a urinal installed in the man cave rest area, and with all the mods for pins why not spinners and fun stuff to aim there also? A new game called Golden...nevermind.

    Quoted from swampfire:

    What’s JohnnyPinball007 drinking tonight?

Actually I am pretty tight, and I have low sugar, so I stick with Natty Light, which is about like water anyway.

I used to drink more expensive beer, before I became so tight. I used to like 80 proof peppermint Snapp's or whatever that was over ice, but liquor just got to the point of instant heartburn for me.

When I was a teen I drank a lot of Crown Royal, and it was good. Then one time I tried Jack Daniels, had almost a fifth by myself one time, and that shit about killed me. After the JD episode that time I can not have brown liquor period, makes me sick immediately.

And I know what you mean about the kiss from a hot 15 year old, I was 16. And some very embarrassing shit, but I confess her kissing would give me a embarrassing wet spot. Friends would be around and I would just say damn it, I spilled my drink on myself again. Those kisses were so damn awesome, but led to embarrassing moments.

Later I probably hurt a few ladies feelings, I was not as sensitive as I should have been and told a few ladies that they needed to take kissing lessons.

Some girls can just not kiss well, or do anything well, too fast and rough. The nice and easy is what I like.

The only time I feel like a dirty old man is at the beach with some of these outfits, or lack of, ladies wear on the beach anymore. One time I thought the beach had went nude, I could not see the strings. I am not complaining at all.

And before you brought it up, I had forgot about the hot kisser, but sometimes I still have dreams(not dirty) about the first girl I was ever really attracted to when I was 13.

And I confess I was not as nice as I could have been while ago with my girlfriend, but she was late as always, and not in the best mood having to deal with her Mom(her Mom acts sick, just a show for attention), and so I am all alone with natty lights and youtube tonight. I really get tired of the shit her Mom pulls. But my girlfriend is a big time keeper, and one reason I have so many games. She loves the pins and multicades probably even more than I do.

And I confess right now Golden Tee on a multicade is getting the most play for a while now, and next purchase will not be a pin, but the first week of April I will be picking up a real Golden Tee.

And I confess I do like the pins AP have been doing, so down the road the next pin will be whatever their 3rd pin is. And because for whatever reason so many tend to hate AP and sell their pins cheap pretty quick, instead of buying NIB I will probably wait for a deal on a barely used game.

And I confess I have no use for old EM games, they look pretty good, and remind me of times when I was young, but they are really boring to play, for my tastes anyway, with all the cool features new games have.

And I confess after I have 3-4 more beers I can not guarantee that I will not be back on pinside ranting about something before I crash for the night.

In the meantime I am going to drink and drive for a while, on a multicade, I do not drink and drive a real car, not even one drink.

I’m wondering if I should be worried....my wife has stopped watching Hallmark love movies and started binge watching Dateline/20-20/etc murder mysteries.

Some red flags to watch for:
    1. she buys large life insurance policies on you
    2. she starts asking off the wall questions, like how much do you weigh?
    3. she starts googling things like what size suitcase will hold a __pound man?

I confess that I am so glad this new flu was not named the Natty Light virus, because I am so sick of hearing about it I would have probably had to of switched to another beer.

    #1977 4 years ago

I confess that long ago things I was ready to get rid of I was tempted to rent a mini warehouse, and let it go, to make money off my junk.

I have been to mini warehouse auctions and seen what people were paying for a room full of crap.

I have a aunt that managed a facility, and told me that the mini warehouse only gets their back rent after a auction, and the rest of the money goes back to the warehouse renter. I was like hell yeah!

Then she told me that it would go against my credit score, and I said hell no!

I almost swear that it seems like what people pay at auctions, someone could just hit some Goodwills, or flea markets, or whatever, and pay about 50 bucks for what other people will pay 800 at a auction.

Post office auctions were really bad also. I did those for about 10 years and did ok with what I was trying for.

I swear though, with some auction prices I have seen, and they kept coming back again and again, a lot of that was money laundering or something. No way these buyers could keep paying 20k for 2k of wheat pennies or whatever it was.

And I confess I have not been to the first auction in about 10 years now, and I am glad to be away from all that crazy madness.

And yes, I seen first hand how some lots were rigged. What I was buying at the time, movies and music, all of a sudden I was bid way up, and I paid the price and took it for the hell of it...at the bottom of a big tub would be awesome new release DVD's I could make money on. And way down on the very bottom and no one could see.

Be careful with auctions, so much is rigged. And ebay and Amazon are a pain now, so hard to make a profit anyway off that.

I confess that after seeing my local news, I am a tad more worried about this virus. And while I have never had any stocks, I see all that is crazy also.

And the treads on here have been crazy, at some point the virus coming up in about every topic.

But I really like Pinside marketplace as a indicator of what is actually happening at the moment:

There were 31 game for sale classified ads added today.

While the stock market and everything else is all over the place, the classified ads here are average.

And I am not being funny or sarcastic, in my world just seeing the pinside marketplace, and how many more joined this site today, I see that things are pretty normal here.

And I really hope things stay normal here.

    #1983 4 years ago

I confess I have had a few Natty Lights tonight, and getting another one, be right back.

Ok, I have been on the planet over 50 years, and this is some weird shit going on.

Is this virus from nature? Or man-made?

Are we having World War 3 right now, being done with a virus instead of bombs? (that is what it seems like to me)

And no, I am not making fun of this virus, something hit me hard a few months ago and I was in rough shape.

I just wish I knew the answers. Kind of crazy times I have never seen going on right now.

    #1986 4 years ago
    Quoted from Blitzburgh99:

I confess I like johnnypinball007 after he’s had a few Natty Lights and wish he had his collection available to see.

I confess that I have in fact had a few Natty Lights, and I hate looking around trying to change settings, but here is what I have, ranked from favorite #1, to not does get played much anymore #6.
    1. Oktoberfest
    2. Walking Dead pro
    3. JJPOTCSE
    4. Houdini
    5. Metallica prem
    6. Spider Man ve

And we had just played some Golden Tee, and everyone is gone now so I may do some drinking and driving on Pole Position. Then maybe 2-3 rounds of Centipede, then after a few more beers fill out the Census crap that came in the mail today.

And I confess I am confused that Oktoberfest gets crapped on so much. It is all about beer and fun carnival stuff, and my only complaint is I wish on adult settings it would be more rated R, than the basically PG it is. I love the game, so many different ways to play. It is deep, so you have to study a little and before you start decide what you are going to try for, and which way to try to go. It takes at least 2-3 hours on the game to really get everything.

After this virus stuff calms down if anyone is interested in trying out any of my games just shoot me a pm to see if I am available. And I like AP's first 2 games enough that I am interested in trying a Hot Wheels eventually, so also shoot me a pm if you are in the area and I can swing over and try it.

    Cheers!

    Quoted from swampfire:

I’ll wash my hands for 30 seconds in hot water after shaking hands with someone, but peeing at home? That gets a quick half-assed 5 second rinse-down.

If it is the first time after taking a shower that should be fine. I do the same. But, the later in the day after a shower I wash hands a little longer.

I can not believe how crazy all this virus stuff is. I will be glad when everything is back to normal, except gas prices, a station nearby has gas for 1.79, and I like that.

    Quoted from Blitzburgh99:

I confess I like johnnypinball007 after he’s had a few Natty Lights and wish he had his collection available to see.

I confess I am a tad different and more paranoid with any kind of social info, because around here so many people are hooked on something, and committing petty thefts to buy more drugs or something.

I love my area, but it has been on the decline. This is not a gated golf community, but man pretty much a good traffic pattern with all kinds of backroads when everyone else is not moving in traffic.

A lot of people have moved out of this area, and they now have to commute a extra 40 minutes each way on average.

Not me, I hate traffic, and which ever direction I need to go from time to time I am mostly opposite of traffic flow. (I am a contractor, I work all over the place).

Long before I ever joined Pinside I was not only looking at the top 100 and comments, but also the map, for places to play and see if anyone near me had anything in their collection.

Once I joined Pinside I hid my collection, because I was worried about the petty crime in my area, and not wanting to become a target if any of those people found this site.

I know this site pretty well now, and like a while back on this topic I did post my games, but for a non-member, and even if I am logged out, the forums are a pain.

It all comes down to the fact that I love my house, and actually way more than I need. I love the way where I am I can go any direction other than north, and never sit in traffic. And I do have pretty good backroads to go north also.

And I can confess I had a tad much Natty, so sorry for another long rant.

Oh, and traffic has been very light the last 2 days, and I was having to do a 40 mile each way. I was not paying attention, passing a few cars, while a few cars also passing me, looked at my speed odometer and I was doing 95 in a 70, and the way everyone was driving felt more like 80 in a 70.

AND, I confess, that was so awesome the last 2 days, the slow pokes were going about 82 in a 70!

AND, while I was good with all that, and alert, and safe, and courteous, I have only had 10 hours sleep total in 72 hours now, and after one more Natty, I hope I can sleep for 12 hours to make up for some of that.

    Keep driving Safe, and Fast!

I bought 100 new balls from Marco about 5 months ago when they sent me a email about a sale with free shipping.

I have also not installed any. BUT, right after the balls arrived, we discovered Golden Tee, and sadly the pins are not getting much play.

And I confess that I never planned to just change the balls to just be changing them. I still plan that anytime I have to take a glass off, to get a magnifying glass and compare the brand new to what is in the games, and decide from there.

And I confess that flipper rubbers are the only other part I have ever stockpiled, I currently have 11 of those.

I confess, the 2nd time I ever had to take the glass out of my nib Spider man VE, the tiny pin that connects the handle to the lockdown bar broke. I gently tapped it back in, and it held.

So, not knowing how long it would keep holding I contacted Stern. They were like yeah right, send us pics.

So, I broke it apart, like it had already done anyway, made pics, and Stern was awesome, calling me and emailing, and sent a new lockdown bar assembly. They even offered to have someone do the fix.

I confess, that if I ever were to sell SMVE, buyer remind me the game also comes with a brand new lockdown bar assembly, because apparently my fix worked better than what Stern had let slip through QC.

    Stern did make that right.

But, at the same time I had another issue with another pin, and was ignored.

For now I am sticking with AP, and eventually will probably get a Hot Wheels. I just hope somehow, someway, it can have a switch for adult.

I would claim I let my buddy borrow my credit card because he was having problems with his.

AND, IF, he does not pay me the money back that machine will be coming here so we can enjoy it!

    #2042 4 years ago

I confess that I have always stood in line pretty close to the person in front of me, because in my area a lot of rude people will try to line jump in between if I don't.

NOW, even after this blows over I will just still keep my distance like I am doing now, and just be more vocal:

If they look like they can kick my ass, I may look the other way.

If I can definitely take them, I will yell "Hey, the end of the line is back there"!

    #2044 4 years ago

I confess that when I was a kid, we would take trips to the Smokey Mountains, and I also knew about the Rocky Mountains.

My first long road trip was from Atlanta, GA, to St. Paul, MN, and the whole trip was pretty flat, a few hills. (way too many boring cornfields passing through IL).

So I always thought the USA was pretty flat.

A long time ago with a girlfriend at the time I went on a road trip from Atlanta to Scranton, PA, up 1-81, and man was I so surprised to see so many mountains, just going on and on forever. I got sick of seeing them and sometimes having to drive over them. I thought Scranton would just be this flat boring place, but it was mountain where I stayed, and cool(a bar on every corner of every residential street from what I was around).

And I had kind of heard about the Ozarks, but never thought about it until a trip to Silver Dollar city a couple years ago. I do think the Smokeys are bigger than the Ozarks, but WOW, Branson was like 10 times bigger it seemed than the Gatlinburg/Pidgeon Forge area I had grown up with.

Anyway, through the years I have travelled a lot in the USA, and I can 100% tell you this: Most people are kind and friendly all over, except my area. My area sucks as far as people that are rude and will try to cut in line and crap like that.

BUT, some days everyone is nice and holds the door for you when you have your hands full or whatever.

If I could just figure out the days that only the nice people would be out, life would be sweet.

    #2055 4 years ago

For whatever reason the Alice Cooper song Schools Out keeps going through my head. But instead of the lyrics saying "schools out for summer", I keep hearing "schools out for corona".

    #2056 4 years ago

I confess that while some taxes are ok, property taxes really piss me off. The main thing with property taxes is school tax, and I have never had any kids, and I have been out of school for a very long time, but still paying for it.

(sorry, maybe I should have clicked on the other thread)

    Quoted from pinzrfun:

I confess I never found Chris Farley funny.

I never found Farley or John Candy funny, until right before they died. Then it was damn, I finally get them now, and like them, and they are gone now.

    #2064 4 years ago

You know that thing in your mind that tells you something is a bad idea?
How do I get one of those?

And, while I was in the part store while ago a man came in and asked if they sold longer dipsticks because his no longer reaches the oil.

    #2066 4 years ago

I confess that I think it is funny when my girlfriend gives me the "silent treatment".
    She thinks it is punishment.

If there was a way to read a woman's mind I am not sure I would want to. I hate shoes, shopping, gossip, and I already know I am annoying.

    #2073 4 years ago

I confess that for several days recently the grocery store shelves were bare of anything I would want to eat. BUT, my beer store has plenty of inventory, so I have been on a liquid diet a good bit.

Kind of reminds me of what I did in my 20's.

I am just so glad that beer did not get hoarded.

Right now there may be a trace of blood in my alcohol stream, but I was finally able to get some food, so all good soon.

    #2077 4 years ago

    Of course.

I did buy one 24 pack of Corona and gave it to a friend for a joke though.

    #2089 4 years ago

First of all, loss of life like what is going on now is very sad and scary. And I feel very sorry for anyone that has lost their loved one, job, or wealth.

BUT, I confess I like a few of the new things happening now. I am looking at the bright side in dark times.

I have to drive all over the place for work, so I am liking the light traffic and cheap gas.

I am liking the way everyone is starting to come together, after for a while it seemed no one could get along anymore.

I confess that after there are cures for this mess, I hope there will be a lot of positive change. I hope that anyone that wants to work from home can continue to, I hope that more people will continue to homeschool if they want to, and it would be nice if traffic congestion would stay light like it is now, and we would not have to spend so much on taxes making more roads all the time.

And I confess that I constantly have to bite my tongue and not invite a friend over to play a pin, I am in no hurry to be close to anyone.

And I used to like Golden Coral ok, some other local seafood buffets were a lot better, but they may end up out of business, I am in no hurry to go to any restaurant, and last I would go to anymore would be a buffet.

    #2090 4 years ago

I also confess that after seeing the news, I more than ever want to avoid people.

So, the main thing I need is Natty Light, and I plan to get to the store bright and early before anyone is there and pick up 20 30 packs.

And, I know you are not supposed to feed wildlife, but a raccoon was in my yard while ago, and he had a limp, so I put some food out, and he was in heaven. My girlfriend really enjoyed getting to watch one so close for a long time.

A good thing there are no bears around here, I would probably want to feed them to, and I know I am not supposed to do that.

I just feel sorry for animals, they have to work so hard to eat. Humans work hard to make money to eat but then we can go to a grocery store or a drive thru, if we have money we are guaranteed to be able to eat pretty much.

I was just thinking maybe I will plant some food for the wildlife, and then I realized I have not seen the first rabbit yet, and normally they are all over the place.

A coyote killed my last dog, and has killed some neighbors dogs also.

Really I guess I need to ignore the wildlife, because if I do try to help, it will just make the coyotes fatter in the end.

A while back something must of got the groundhog that used to live up the street. He was very friendly, I swear, when I drove by he would be on the side of the road waving at me. He was very entertaining.

If my last dog had not been killed by a coyote, I would have liked them also. A coyote used to hunt by me in another part of town while I was working. At the time it was cool, but I was leery and kept my pistol in my pocket just in case. I never had to draw the gun, the coyote was just there pacing along beside me and waiting for the tractor I was on to cause a mouse or rabbit to run, and the coyote would go get its meal.

And for whatever reason I confess that I just remembered it has been a few weeks now since I had a steak, and I could really go for a very large juicy rib-eye right about now.

I built a 18 hole putt putt course in my backyard, but I have never played real golf. Because of work I have been on a few golf courses though.

    #2100 4 years ago

As far as my pinside name... I burn a lot of firewood, I like a big fire, and some friends have me in their phone as Johnny Firewood.

So I was going for JohnnyPinball on here, it was taken. I tried JohnnyPinball2, it was taken. My 3rd try, ok JohnnyPinball007 was not taken.

And I have never seen the other Johnny's on here, even though those names were taken.

    #2102 4 years ago

As far as golf..., not on the radar, but not off it either. We have been playing Golden Tee for several months and love it. I big time get the wind speed and direction and the lay of the land and the greens.

Anyway, a frisbee golf course opened near here about 2 years ago, and I bought frisbees, and we still have never made it out to do that. I once played frisbee golf on vacation in the NC mountains and loved it.

Hell, I used to take my boat out night fishing all the time, now the last few years the boat only makes it out maybe 2 times a year. A big reason for that is wind though. When I do have time to take the boat out it is just too windy anymore. And wind over the water feels 10 times stronger than wind on land. Makes fishing a pain.

I like the social distancing in public, I hope it lasts forever. I used to get tired of standing still in a line and others bumping into me and stepping on my shoes.

I never understood why they call some cell phones a smart phone, when it seems to make people stupid. I have seen first hand people walking down a sidewalk not paying attention to anything else other than their phone, and take a nasty face hit on a stop sign at the end of the street.

If that was not bad enough already here came the selfie stick. I have seen a lot of news footage of people walking off a cliff or whatever while doing that.

    #2111 4 years ago
    Quoted from DaMoib:

Social distancing is right in my wheelhouse.

I wish every grocery store, restaurant, amusement park, etc., would just paint lines on the floor to remind everyone to always social distance from now on.

Not only for the current mess, but to help slow down colds and flues and whatever may happen in the future.

I confess I keep my damn distance in public now.

    #2129 4 years ago

I confess that the last 3 years I have rolled my eyes at my girlfriend all the time for having hand sanitizer all over the place and using it so much. NOW, I am so glad we are together.

I confess I still don't use that stuff as much as she does, but I big time have went from 0 to about 6 times a day.

    #2130 4 years ago

I confess that I know when the Bud truck makes it's delivery to my store, so to avoid contact, I get my natty light in the parking lot.

And early mornings always suck, but right now at this time I feel awesome!

    #2131 4 years ago

I almost forgot. Sometimes friends and media stories can make me a tad too paranoid.

The light bulb thing. These new high dollar bulbs a few years ago was not lasting me long before blowing, and supposed to save on the power bill, and none of that was working for me the way I heard it should be.

SO..a friend, and media was talking about how all the old light bulbs were going to be never made again, and you would have to spend money to have all your fixtures upgraded.

I was not doing well at the time, and I spent money at the time hoarding a ton of bulbs, all kinds of sizes and watts I use.

At least I made it through all that, and I will never have to buy any kind of bulb the rest of my life.

And no, I am not the asshole that hoarded any toilet paper, I only hoarded light bulbs a few years ago.

BUT, if you are close by, and may need a light bulb, we may be able to work out a trade soon.

AND, I confess that I am tempted right now to try to put a smiley face thing here right now...I am at the age that I am not into that crap. and it just seems silly to be polite, or stupid for the way I really feel about it.

Anyway, I wish all of you the best always!

Grab your natty light and toast now from 6 feet away!

(seriously, please stay at least 6 feet away, I thing 12 is better right now).

    #2138 4 years ago

Socks are the first thing I ever put on. And days when I do not have to go anywhere, well...

    #2150 4 years ago

I wish I could run into a roadblock, have cops question me if I was essential, have the cops talk to my friend I do work for, and I could get a break and not have to go anywhere for a while.

BUT, in the travels I still have to do, I do not see any cops, everyone is going 20 above the speed limit, and part of that is probably due to the fact it is hard as hell to find a place to use the restroom at the moment.

I confess I do like to drive fast anyway, and not many cops around is a good thing, but when having to travel a few hours and no place to take a leak, except on the side of the road sucks.

Yeah, I confess I have no problem taking a leak on the side of the road, but I stay worried that while I am not seeing any cops at the moment, the last thing I need right now is a smartass one pulling up.

Back in the day that could be a ticket for public urination.

NOW, they can claim you to be a sex offender and have to register and a whole lot of stupid crap.

I, have never had any problems, and I hope I never do. BUT, I have heard enough stories I am always a tad nervous when it is my time and no where to go.

    #2158 4 years ago

I confess that I am not as funny as I think I am when I am drinking.

    #2167 4 years ago

Confess that I do feel sorry my girlfriend can rarely beat me on Golden Tee.

BUT, when I mess up and she does win, she thinks I just messed up on purpose.

I have never just let anyone win, beat me, you beat me fair and square.

    #2170 4 years ago

I confess that I just spent 13 hours on a job, with a 2 hour round trip drive, so away from home 15 hours, and have been slamming Natty Lights, because I have to do it again in 6 hours.

Kind of glad to have money coming in, but kind of hope for no more damn 13 hour days.

    #2171 4 years ago

I confess that while I have never wore any makeup, I would like to find some and wear some that is maybe blue in color, so maybe the few people that do not get social distancing will maybe want to stay away from me more without me having to dodge them all the time.

    #2174 4 years ago

I confess I am a bad influence. The first 3 years my girlfriend was with me she did not drink any alcohol.

But once we discovered Golden Tee and started playing it all the time, she is the one to say lets have more beer and play another round.

I have corrupted her, but she seems pretty happy.

And now I miss those first 3 years, because now I have to pick up a lot more Natty.

Damn a 30 pack can get gone in a hurry when I have help.

One last thing. Just because we like cheap beer, we are in no way southern rednecks, hillbillies, or any of that.

We still have our teeth(most of them anyway), no confederate flags anywhere and not on food stamps.

AND, I am just trying to be entertaining, and help you smile/laugh.

When I first discovered "The Confessional", I was like hell yeah, I want to read all that, should be funny and entertaining. I can post there and have fun.

And some people here criticize me for long rants, but at least I space it out so it is readable. And most likely those people that hate me loves cats and wine, and I love dogs and beer.

But, I am pretty laid back, I can get along with almost anyone.

The worst thing you can ever do is to ask me to loan you money. That kills any friendship that was ever started. I am not a bank. I don't play that game.

Stick with the cheap Natty Lights and keep your ass off drugs and you will be fine.

Also take care of your bills and keep your credit score up.

Work I have to do sometimes I get paid well having to go onto military bases and some places that you will not get in without a clean record. And not that I want to mess with any of that work anyway, I am trying to be retired, but work just keeps begging me to hang around a tad longer.

And those places monitor facebook, and I have never messed with that. BUT, if they ever start looking at Pinside, I may finally be able to retire!

Just stay safe, strong, and smart, and you will be just fine.

18 is my limit now, but I rarely have that many any more.

20 years ago I was drinking 30 Bud Lights a day on average.

Except for a small gut no one would ever guess. I am 5'7" and 148 lbs.

For close to 30 years I have sold music CD's on Amazon. (not much demand for those now, but a few here and there still sell).

Anyway, one I just sold as new had a tiny ding on the jewel case, like 1/16 of a inch of a crack. And I had not noticed that when I listed it, and with some buyers so anal about anything, so....

I confess that I damaged the package, before I packed the CD, so it will look like the Post Office did it.

And no, package is not insured or anything, I have never tried to be a crook or anything.

But if the buyer were to complain about a tiny jewel case crack on a brand new music CD, hey, things sometimes get bumped around in the mail.

9 (9), I have to be up early.

I almost forgot. I was just reading the bitch thread, and topic was dogs barking, and best to just leave the owners alone.

I confess, for the last 25 years, even though I have central heat and air, I also have a window unit in my bedroom, so I can drown out all that dog noise when it is time for me to crash for the night.

    Quoted from swampfire:

Lately, every night I dream I’m in a big office building.

I have never cheated on a girlfriend, but most of my dreams are about hiding the fact I am still getting it on with my last girlfriend, from my new girlfriend.

And sometimes in the dreams I will be caught in a weird situation, and have to introduce them to each other.

Pretty much every morning if my clock is actually set for a early day, I wake up confused for a few minutes, because the dreams seem so real.

But the second I get back to my basement office, where my games are, I am just so happy to be here and now and not in that dream that was awesome for a minute before the dream went to crap.

I still do like some things about my ex-girlfriends, glad they are gone.

There is a old country song(not much into that kind of music), but a old country song called "I loved them everyone", reminds me of how my life has been.

And, it has been fun, I have had a great time, and I have never been married and ended up losing half my shit.

Time to YouTube Joe Walsh "life's been good", and have one last Natty for the night.

(and I did not keep count, but somewhere between 13 and 30).

I have been very lucky with hangovers. I rarely have one, never had a headache one.

The only hangovers I get are stomach pain ones.

    Quoted from Blitzburgh99:

I like dogs...but I’m not crazy about poodles

I love dogs, and a poodle was one of the last dogs that ever bit me. That damn dog(belonged to a friend), was ok as long as you were sitting down.

BUT... when you would stand up and walk away, it was a aggressive ankle biter.

AND, I just listed my HUO only SMVE here, and made a note in the ad: local only I have plenty of Natty Light, as long as you are good to drive come hang out. (or something like that).

I confess that since we have got into Golden Tee so much, eventually I will sell all my pins except Oktoberfest, and The Walking Dead.

It amazes me how much hate OKT gets, when it really is a very fun game and beer themed also.

    #2239 3 years ago

I confess that long ago, day one of getting TWD nib, I noticed a light bulb was not working. Not sure if just a loose wire or what.

I always said the first time I ever have to lift the playfield I will take care of it.

2000+ plays later, a few years later, playfield has still never been lifted.

    #2243 3 years ago

I leave all my keys in the locks.

Bit me in the ass one time, a (challenged) friend needed more credits and I was not there, he opened the door and missed the credit button, and took me forever to figure out how to get the game to stop saying it was awarding tickets/coupons, I can not remember which one now.

When I was a teen I hid stuff in my Dig Dug arcade game.

    1 week later
    #2270 3 years ago

My girlfriend used to get bored when my pinball game lasted 30 minutes, and hers lasted 5.

Now that is flip-flopped with Golden Tee. Takes me 10 seconds to make a shot, takes her 5 minutes moving everything around and thinking about it, and another 10 minutes to get out of the woods.

I think she just likes Golden Tee because she can go off in the woods and hog the machine for a while.

She gets mad when I start singing that old Lynard Skynard song "That Smell", with the lyrics "oak tree you're in my way".

Man I laugh so hard she is about ready to hit me. My next shot is a short putt to the tee, while her next shot is a tree that there is no way to get around.

She is very awesome though, and I am glad she loves these games. She is actually hooked worse than I am.

AND, I am trying to chill out and be loving, but damn I can not help but to laugh with some of the ways her games go.

I laugh at my stuff also, almost had a heart attack laughing one time when my golf ball got stuck on the roof of a house while I was trying a shortcut, and Jim Nance or whatever his name is said "I hope he has insurance".

And while ago, me and her was having some beer at a bonfire, and I told her another pin was leaving shortly. She said "I have loved playing all the pins, and some I really got hooked on, but when you got Golden Tee, I said what pin, what is a pin".

I am so glad I have been able to play and own so many pins.

I am now downsizing to 2: Oktoberfest, and TWD pro. For me those 2 games have everything I love about pinball all there in just 2 totally different games.

I confess I will miss some games I have sold, but I always keep my sales local and get to meet the buyer so I can strike up a first dibs if you want to sell in the future with games I really like.

The biggest issue is time. I want to play a whole lot of games, I just never have enough time.

I had hoped this pandemic would slow my work down so I could enjoy games more, no, just as busy as ever, and that sucks, I am ready to slow down.

But now, at least I am ready to say screw the bs, my one customer that pays very well I am ready to drop the next time they want to put me in a situation that stresses me. And I think he can sense I am about ready to retire from that work, because for a while now he has been super cool, instead of being short like in the past.

Life is just super funny anyway. People are all just so different, in ways, and in some ways we are all the same.

Like here on Pinside, I have seen comments that I am blocked because of my long rants. And some people like my long rants, want to know what Natty I am on(not sure...15?), anyway, we are all different with some common stuff, and that is what makes life awesome.

On Pinside I try to be nice and never get moderated. In real life, if I like you, you will think we are brothers. I will do my best to make you laugh and smile. BUT, in real life if you piss me off, I will talk about the opposite from what you want to hear even if I do not agree with what I am actually telling you.

    (20?) all good, rant over.

Confessions should be things that you have done in the past that you know were wrong.

While I 100% agree with that, I also think confessions can also be about what you are currently doing or planning on doing in the future also.

And right now I confess that I do not want to run into my plumber anytime soon, because he thought he was about to make a lot of money off me updating my house, and I had some spare time so I have been doing that work myself.

As far as a pinball confession, I have been lazy and not even installed tilt bobs on the last 3 games I picked up nib, I figured hell, I do not shake/nudge them much anyway.

I just did not want to mess up this thread after I seen it was started as a pinball confessional, and most posts were short.

I promise when I can be shorter I will post something here, and I have this marked as a favorite, and check it out all the time.

After I seen how the comments started on page one here, I said my bad, and I started a "the long rant tread", so that anyone that hates me no longer has to do ignore or whatever, they can just see it is me, and not even click on it.

I have been here around 2 years now as a member, but I was reading all this long before that.

And swampfire, I hope everything works out great for you. I have seen plenty of your postings where your job stuff is changing.

I wish you the best always, and I wish everyone here the best always.

And just to stay on topic, I confess that about 23 years ago I had a game that sucked as far as outlane drains, and I fixed that with some tie wire.

And I confess that even now I still think about completely closing off the outlanes on some games. (and putting a big ass bumper post in the center also).

But, as someone else posted, I would never ever just take the glass of and use my finger, now that is wrong, may even end up with bad karma for a sin that bad.

    All good!

    #2333 3 years ago

I confess that I have successfully kicked the addiction. (not the Natty one, drinking them right now).

I was up to 7 games, and making room for more.

But, I kept seeing how it was going, the next new game gets played 600 or 2000 times while nothing else ever got played again.

After MET just sold, I am down to 2 pins, and I am all good. Yes, I will miss MET, and all the other games I have sold, but I never had time to play them anymore.

I took the new found extra space and put a ping pong table in, and while I suck at ping pong, something simple and different is a good change.

For years it was fun to look at rankings and reviews to try to make the best choice I could nib sight unseen. (either had to do it that way or drive several hours to a location that had one to try).

Now I can just enjoy all pinside has to offer, without being "oh shit, I need to call Jason and see if he has this in stock".

Not saying I will not ever buy another pin, but at the moment I am good, and it has been years since I was good.

The pinball habit was almost as expensive as the Natty habit.

I confess that I have been busy with other things and have not turned a pin on in several weeks, BUT, I smile every time I walk by them.

It is awesome knowing that when things slow down I can get back to the pins, they are right there ready.

Typing and not playing at the moment, because too tired and too sore and just want to sit here and have a few Natties.

I like this social distance stuff.

7 months into the year and I have not even had a cold yet.

(you could also use this if you get called into a situation you do not want to mess with, say...jury duty. When you walk in and they scan your temperature, you can say "I am sure I am fine now, my temperature finally just went away after being high for the last 2 weeks).

It sucks that friends do not want to come by and play pinball, but now they are liking ping pong, easy to keep a distance with that.

    #2368 3 years ago

I have no problem pulling the glass down if a ball gets stuck.

BUT, if I ever have to lift a playfield, it is something way more serious than a light bulb not working.

TWD has a light that has never worked since day one, and over 3 years later the playfield has still never been lifted.

I confess that out of all the posts I have made on Pinside, I only regret one of them.

That post I was just goofing off because me and my girlfriend are not into skin ink, but I was insensitive, and I am truly sorry.

It hit me when I seen a pic of someone on here I really respect had their arms inked up pretty good.

Not my thing but I know when people do that, everything they do has a meaning for them.

I respect all that more than ever. I am a lot better person now than I was maybe 5 months ago when I typed that in.

I am old, but I am still growing up and learning. And hopefully becoming more kind and caring.

    Peace!

    #2383 3 years ago

I have no clue how the Pinside point system works, but sometimes I may make a post while having a few too many beers I kind of wonder if I am about to lose 30k points after I hit the send button.

I love Pinside and all the people I have met here. Several are enjoying pins now that we just never played anymore.

I would love to do another road trip to get a NIB from Jason, but my back and knees now has me chilled out.

It is nice though to see all the games, while laying in bed with back pain, thinking DAMN, I have to get back to playing these games, not long ago we were having so much fun, and now it hurts to move at all.

Getting old sucks anyway, but add in some knee and back pain, just too much. (and no, I have never been a wimp, was always tough, but damn now the pains are even making my head hurt).

    Long Live Pinside!

    #2385 3 years ago

    scammers.

I was just reading some topics here about problems going on.

(crap, meant to hit the bitch topic).

Anyway, to fit in here I confess that my first NIB I ever bought, and drove to and picked up at the distributor, I thought I was being scammed.

I really thought the box was too small to have a pin inside.

(and even now I am impressed how these big games come out of boxes that to me just look too small to put a game in).

    #2386 3 years ago

I confess that the next game may not be a pin.

Talk on here about Big Buck Hunter got me interested. (I have never seen one or played one).

While ago I asked my girlfriend if she ever wanted to target practice with a gun. She lit up, yes, I have been wanting to go to a shooting range. (that was cool)!

Then I told her what I know about this game, and she was a tad sad "I really don't want to shoot a pretty deer".

I said yeah, but it is not even a real deer. And they have games where you shoot Zombies also.

She lit up again and said she would love to hunt some Zombies!

She is very awesome and I should let her win some pinball games and Golden Tee games, but I am just too competitive for my own good.

(she has won a few games, but I never let her, she beat me fair and square). (one time her grandson thought he was about to beat me on MET, but that one last shot I needed to fry Sparky got me that win).

Sorry if I am a asshole, but I will never just throw a game to let anyone win.

(I mean yes, if I was ever helping out with someone with special needs I would totally throw a game to help them have a good time). That is a totally different situation.

And I am not that great, not winning by a landslide. I lose sometimes and her name is on my games.

AND, she knows how serious I am, and when she wins she always says "you let me win didn't you"?

And same as always I say "why hell no, my arms are both broke and I am in casts and playing with my feet, you knew you could take me this time". (totally joking in case anyone read all this).

(for real though) When she wins, if I am in good shape she is like hell yeah, I was finally able to beat you again.

And when my back or knees are messed up, she is like sorry you don't feel good, and it sucks that you were not able to feel good and do better, but at least I won, just not the same.

After dinner for a little exercise before other games we have been playing ping pong. She has only won once, but normally keeps it close, and sometimes she gets a good lead and I make a come back.

And I confess that with ping pong, I will say "Damn that was a great shot you just made"! When she kicks my ass.

I also get excited when she is having a awesome game on a pin, but I do not say a word to make her nervous or anything, but if she asks what do I need to shoot for now I tell her.

For some reason though, Golden Tee has us very competitive. She loves that game and pretends she is going to hit me or whatever else at times.

Recently we went to a frisbee golf course(free, hell yeah!), and now she is looking at custom frisbees she wants to buy before we go again to try to beat me.

Sorry to bore with a long rant, carry on...

    Quoted from poppapin:

Hey Johnny, sounds like your girlfriend wants to go to a real gun range. My wife loves going mainly I think because her aim is better than mine!

I just got the pricing info back and a real gun range is a whole lot less money.

I may have to get a new girlfriend, this one does not seem to care about pinball anymore.

All she wants to do is play ping pong, then golden tee, then get naked.

I want to play ping pong, then pinball, then golden tee, then get naked.

(we play ping pong to just get some exercise after dinner. I enjoy it, but my knees say hell no after 20 minutes).

    #2391 3 years ago
    Quoted from bssbllr:

    Maybe try getting naked first

I wish she would get naked "while" playing all the games.

    Confession:

I am so glad I have never had a mother-in-law and had to put up with their crap.

My girlfriend is awesome, but I get so tired of hearing about all the crap her mother puts her through.

Her mother is always super nice around me, but I have heard phone conversations when my girlfriend would call her Mom, and her Mom would the answer phone with a very loud "WHAT"!!!

So I know my girlfriend is telling the truth just from what I have heard on the phone.

Her Mom is just pure evil for some reason.

    2nd Confession:

I will never have a mother-in-law anyway, I plan to stick it out with my girlfriend without anything official, and her Mom is getting up there in years.

    3rd Confession:

I am sorry I am not as funny as normal. After this many Natties I usually would lighten up a tad more.

    #2397 3 years ago

    One last confession tonight.

With this virus stuff I have been good, and bad.

Good that I am actually trying to do great and not catch it in the first place or take a chance of spreading if I were to have it and not even know it.

    Bad:

Hell no I am not going to your birthday party I did not want to go to anyway because your family will be there and I am trying to stay away from people with this virus stuff going on. (girlfriend)

Hell no I am not going to work out of town at the moment with this virus stuff going on. (a client I do a lot of work for, but they have too many rules for me at that place...a army base).

And I confess that I hate dentists, they are way too damn high. Last surgery I ever needed was less money than last trip to a dentist.

I love a good doctor, but these days dentist's just suck.

It was not always this way. Way back when I was a kid the dentist's were actually less money to go to than the doctor.

Yeah, I confess I am pretty old, to remember all that.

    #2398 3 years ago

I confess that I was going to play pinball while ago, but my girlfriend is not here, and when we youtube music she can not stand Meat Loaf for whatever reason...

So my neighbor 1/4 mile away I am sure just heard some Meat Loaf for a while.

I do not listen to Meat Loaf much, but when I do neighbors hear it also. (that is just the kid part left in this old man).

Oh, and never have a buzz and tell a girlfriend a song reminds you of an ex, you will never be able to hear that song again.

    #2399 3 years ago

I confess that while ago me and my lady played some TWD for the first time in a very long time, and she kicked my ass 3/4 of the games played. (it was her birthday). (but for real, I never let anyone win, I just sucked).

I confess that anytime I see LTG make a post on Pinside, I give him a thumbs up. LTG is a true MVP.

I confess that I am about useless when it comes to trying to help with any technical advice, sorry.

To make up for what I can not help with repair wise like LTG, I try to help entertain and make pinsiders laugh.

I confess I was looking at Pinside for 2 years all the time before I ever joined.

And to anyone I have ever pissed off here I am truly sorry.

(and if any doctors here, my brain is hurting like it used to when I was riding rollercoasters, but none of that in a year, and all of a sudden just walking is hurting my brain). (I am serious).

(and trying to be funny again) There has to be some doctors here because most others can not afford 10k NIB these days.

I wish each and all of you the best always!

    Johnny

    Quoted from Blitzburgh99:

When I use public restroom urinals, I have to use the short ones designed for kids because the tip of my junk dips in the water on the tall ones.

I have to use the short ones because I am not very tall, and I do not want to get close to the urinal.

And not to brag about size, but I am just glad I no longer have to keep a pair of tweezers to get it out. Well, just barely.

(back in high school I was a clown. anytime someone would brag I would go along and say damn you are so lucky).

    Quoted from freeplay3:

    I now have a 3rd one, johnnypinball007.

    Thanks buddy!

I am surprised you did not get 5 downvotes. Some people don't like me because my posts are too long.

And I promise to try to chill out and keep my posts shorter.

    #2406 3 years ago

I confess that I am glad Pinside has rules and moderators. A while back Force Flow was very helpful, and fixed something I did not know how to.

I do not get offended easily, it has to be something very bad concerning cruelty to children or animals to offend me.

Sometimes I even give a upvote when I know that poster is going to get moderated, if it was funny.

Sometimes I do not give a vote at all, if that member is getting a tad crazy and may get in trouble.

I have never gave a downvote, and never will. If something is bad enough I will click to send it to the mods, and I have never done that yet.

My last downvote was funny, I was trying to make a joke and be entertaining in the Bitch Thread, and was trying to make a joke that my bitch was dingle berries, and there is a member here called dingleberry that downvoted me. (and I am sure he was laughing and having fun...unless that is his real name and has been picked on his whole life?)

And I confess that my 100% favorite topic on Pinside is Dogs Rule!

I love dogs, damn coyotes got my last one, and I am not ready again yet.

When I am ready though everything will be 100% coyote proof.

If you have not posted pics of your dog/s in Dogs Rule! well, get to it please.

    Quoted from snowy_owl:

I confess that I don't own a cat but I still enjoy looking at the cats and pinballs thread as well.

I confess I have no use for cats. I would never be mean to them or any animal, I just try to stay away.

8 or 9 years ago I helped my neighbor get his kitten off his roof. He had just had surgery and was not able to climb the ladder.

The kitten scratched me. It was just playing king of the mountain or something, it was not being mean, and neither was I.

I never used to get sick. I started getting sick all the time, bad colds, and just crazy problems.

One day all of a sudden I thought I was going blind. My Dad was already blind from diabetes, and I have low sugar.

I went to Pearl Vision, and after a few minutes checking my eyes they said I needed to go to a eye specialist asap.

The specialist was also freaked out. They sent me to their best Doctor, and after taking a look he started asking me all these questions, like had I been bit by a tick recently, and all kinds of stuff.

All my answers were no, until the question came up have I been scratched by a cat.

So I had to go get blood work and I tested positive for cat scratch disease. They said I will always have it.

The medication got most of my eyesight back, but there is still a spot in my right eye that I can no longer read a eye chart with that eye.

Sorry for the long story, but always be aware those kittens can mess you up.

This is no joke. I wish it was.

I confess I have 100% zero social media. I know, I live in the stone age.

I confess I am the same. I have never been on any facebook, twitter, and whatever else is out there.

I for one do not see Pinside as social media, I see it as a club.

    #2430 3 years ago
    Quoted from poppapin:

    Cat Scratch fever?

No, that is a song. My friends joke about that.

It is called cat scratch disease.

It seems to affect everyone differently. It went after my eyes worse than anything.

I confess I have not been on here much because it has been storming, and I unplug everything in case of a lightning strike.

    #2431 3 years ago

I confess I like GA Power, the power was only off 30 minutes after the last storm. (it was bad, lots of trees down).

I hate my cable company, took them 4 hours for me to be able to check Pinside.

And I am hooked bad on Pinside.

I check my business email maybe 4 times a day now, and half the time I am really just looking at it now to see if I have a pm from here about a game I want.

All I know is I stay extremely busy anymore. Screwing around is a whole lot more time consuming than I ever imagined.

And I am getting better at this, this is a very short post for me after a few Natties!

    #2440 3 years ago
    Quoted from poppapin:

Sounds more like a bitch!! There's a thread for that too.

    I think I have both.

My bitch is my girlfriend ran her mouth that I spend too much time on Pinside.

My confession is she is going out of town with her Mom for a few days, and at the moment I am glad.

(and I also confess I hope she does not read this, she is not a member that I know of).

She is a keeper, likes all the games as much or more than me.

We love variety. Next game will be a Big Buck Hunter arcade. Not sure if getting new or used yet, still thinking.

We do not play the pins much anymore, but she prefers TWD over OKT.

We play a lot of Golden Tee.

She gets ticked that I can hog a pin for a long time with a good game. I get ticked it takes her forever to decide what to do next in Golden Tee.

She amazes me sometimes, some shots she tries actually works.

Anyway, she also brought me a Natty 30 pack while ago, so that works.

I think maybe I can confess that at the moment I do not have anything to bitch about.

    #2441 3 years ago

I confess my eyes are not that great. (the cat thing).

Anyway I have starred many a comment, and there have been maybe 3 times so far something popped up that said report abuse. (was in the what machine did you bring home topic mostly).

It seems there is a report abuse button near the star button.

They need to move that in another corner somewhere.

And if I did accidently click I am sure the mods were thinking "what a dumbass, why is buying this machine a abuse).

Anyway I love this site, 99% of the members here are friendly and helpful. The mods are awesome, and Robin is awesome on rare occasion when I see him post something.

And yeah, the arcade bar topic, I keep rolling my eyes. The mods have been very nice and trying to remind of the rules, and it does not sink in.

    #2442 3 years ago

I confess I do not get the LIONMAN topic. I went there one time, and typed LIONMAN! like everyone else.

Is that all that is? Like the please delete/nothing topic(that I had fun with for a while).

Anyway, there must be something wrong with this batch of Natty. Normally after a few I lighten up and try to make jokes, but so far I am just serious like normal.

This has been happening a lot lately. Not sure if the Natty is bad or still ticked my girlfriend says I spend too much time on Pinside.

Hell, she is out of town, I should be going wild. About the wildest I may get is to listen to Meatloaf and other bands she can not stand shortly.

And yeah, I keep watching my street, so far the signs are working. And maybe the last people that were surrounded by cops got the word out to not be parking here and doing drugs and having sex. Nasty bastards, leaving condoms on the street. (and needles).

    #2444 3 years ago
    Quoted from LTG:

The good old days. Life was good.

Thanks Lloyd! You have awesome stories!

For a minute I thought hell yeah, I am about to call a cab and get out and have some fun!

Then it hit me, right now the girls would all be wearing masks, etc. and I am old enough myself with a few problems that I need to stay chilled out and away from everyone.

I confess this virus shit sucks, for a minute there after reading LTG's story I was ready to hop a cab to the Oasis.

I have no use for some hole in the wall strip bar, and the Oasis was not one of those places, it was damn awesome!

They even had a professional massage therapist that would fix all the knots in your back while you were watching the other action.

Long ago I would take friends and business clients there, and no one was ever disappointed.

Thanks LTG, for reminding me about the good old days.

    #2446 3 years ago

4am here now. About to crash. 163 pinsiders online, 299 guests.

I confess late at night how this site gets so dead while it is all over the world, and still early in CA, and morning somewhere, that it is just so odd.

If O-din was here I am sure that # would show 164.

I 100% confess O-din is the reason I got hooked here goofing off and having fun.

I hope when he comes back he can chill a tad, but still push to the max he can get away with.

And LTG is beyond amazing. Helps people all the time and then out of the blue tells a very entertaining story.

Every now and then I see Robin chime in about something, and that is always super cool.

And while selling games here that I was tired of, every buyer that is a member here has been super awesome.

This site is awesome, and it is not even a site, this is a club.

(and I am glad my girlfriend is still out of town because right about now she would bitch that I am still here and not in bed with her).

    #2448 3 years ago

Tonight I have only popped in here a tad. I have been watching horror movies on dvd.

My girlfriend claimed to like that kind of movie, until I put Hostel part one in, now she will not watch any horror movie I have.

So I was watching the Wrong Turn movies. Yeah, they are sick and out there, but if she would watch it is so funny how the main cannibal would also remind her of someone we know(the hair).

She is due back in town today. While she was away I spent a lot of time here, listened to music she hates, and watched movies she will not watch. AND IT WAS AWESOME!

LTG really had me pumped with the casino and strip bar stuff. I was thinking hard about that.

But it sucks around here no casinos, and that one awesome strip bar is a 40 minute cab ride each way, and with all the mask stuff going on now, and the fact I am just staying away trying to be safe, I have just behaved.

I was looking at turning Oktoberfest on while ago, but I chilled out and watched some Wrong Turn movies.

I confess I hope LTG can remember some more stories and post here, he is AWESOME!

I also hope O-din can get off time out soon and be back. And I hope he can be a tad chilled out, but not too much. It would suck if O-din suddenly became like Jack Nicolson at the end of One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest. (I love that movie, but the ending sucks).

    #2452 3 years ago

My girlfriend is back from her trip and I have been too tired to post much.

And I confess I was ready for her to get out of here for a few days, and now I am glad she is back.

Anyway, I have never been into any of that lol crap. Forever I thought that stood for lots of love.

Forever I thought PITA was just someone had misspelled the word pity.

I guess that is why so many of my posts are long, I type the same as I speak.

If talking in person anyone ever said lol or any of that, I would just roll my eyes and walk off.

I can tolerate it a tad more now when reading posts here, because I like 99.9% of everyone here. I don't hate anyone here.

But still, when I see a lol or any of that stuff I immediately think of a 16 year old girl for some reason. (and she was very cute).

And not saying which topic, but weird a topic I was enjoying reading suddenly disappeared. I was going to add something to it, and all traces are gone.

And looking back at most of what I just typed I suddenly heard the voice of Andy Rooney, I used to love him on 60 minutes.

Anyway, I hope everyone here is ok after Laura hit. The last I heard 4 dead, all from falling trees. And even one is bad, but as bad as that storm was that is very good that most people are ok. I just heard the storm moved a tad east right when it hit, and that helped a lot of people with less storm surge than predicted.

I also hope Prada had plenty of belly rubs today and LTG and everyone else had a awesome day!

    #2455 3 years ago

I was going to confess that I thought it would be funny to leave a post about yourself in the Say Something Nice About The Last Poster In This Thread, but I just did that, so now I wonder if this is a confession, or a admission of guilt now?

    #2456 3 years ago

    And a big confession now.

90% of the time when I make a long rant, it is because I needed to be in bed a hour ago, but my mind keeps thinking "just one more beer, not ready for bed yet, lets type some more".

And I know people that do not enjoy any alcohol will label me as a alcoholic, and that is fine, everyone has a right to their own opinion.

I keep a open mind now, and try to never label anyone anything.

Not long ago I was not that way. But now I will always try to be as PC as I can.

And I confess I hope O-din reads this, I miss him, he is so funny.

But I know, I would read some of his posts and think "no, chill out, tone down, please stop before you get in trouble".

And I may have said it before, but pretty much O-din topics are what caused me to get hooked on the forums in the first place. (and then I found this awesome topic).

Before all that I was just here as a non-member reading the top 100 and comments.

And I 100% confess, that at first I only became a member here to be able to sell a game here if I ever tired of it.

Now I can not get enough of this site. O-din hooked me.

Damn, the last few days not much in Dogs Rule, I love the dog pics. I do plan to get another one eventually. But I still have to work out how to keep it safe from the damn coyotes that got our last one. WE will never get over that, that dog was the best ever.

And I will always thank LTG for advice he gave me here. (and he needs to post some more funny stories, like his friends have told him, he has lived a awesome life).

And to anyone that does not enjoy a few beers, or whatever else, please keep in mind I am trying to be entertaining on here, I do not drink and drive, and I can afford the Natty still(too poor now for Bud Select). (joking).

I wish everyone here the best always!

(I have a vision of fireworks going off now).

    #2460 3 years ago
    Quoted from snowy_owl:

I also confess that I have never once in my life used amazon. Seriously.

Since 2002 I have purchased one DeWALT cordless drill, 4-5 music CD's, and around 30 DVD's on Amazon.

Since 2002 I have sold over 50,000 CD's, DVD's, and books on Amazon.

It is getting to be a pain selling there now, but still better than the other place and having to deal with paypal crap.

    #2463 3 years ago

I confess, or muse, that after not playing much except Golden Tee all year I now suck at pinball. (it didn't help that OKT was having weird issues just now).

    #2466 3 years ago

I confess that I love giving a thumbs up anytime I can.

Sometimes if a comment was not great and I skipped giving a thumbs up, I actually go back and give a thumbs up.

I am 100% neutral, and just having a good time, and I never want anyone to think "well, he never gives me a thumbs up, but he always gives so and so a thumbs up".

Maybe he could start his own thread...

“Deeper Thoughts by johnnypinball”, sponsored by Natty Light

I did that for a while. It was called The Long Rant Thread.

I deleted it after one night I made a long one too personal about a business deal I was getting into.

And I may start another rant thread eventually, I just gave too much info that time.

    Quoted from joemagiera:

    50,000??? That's an average of over 7 a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year, for 18 straight years.

About 1-3 a week now, and only still running because I have tons left. Most all I have is out of print and fairly rare. Each sale is mainly between 8.99 and 79.99, with the 79.99 being the few Defranco CD's I have left.

So far this year I have only spent $277.10 in postage.

Back around 2005 I was mailing a average of 60 items a day, and spending a average of $40,000.00 a year at the Mableton post office, and I was getting special treatment when I walked in.

Even now the few that are still at that post office just light up when they see me on rare occasion now and say "Johnny! How have you been!"

When I was mailing 400+ items a week I was bringing it all in the back on my own cart in their tubs. They gave me a scanner to scan all my items in. They gave me a red or black ink stamp to cancel the stamps I put on my packages, and I knew where everything went by zip code. (I never messed with the print your own stamp label stuff).

Anyway, every week I would send a email to the supervisor for a stamp order, it would be like:
    800 - $1.00 stamps
    400 - .05 stamps
    400 - .01 stamps
Because back then most of my orders were $2.06 each to mail.

AND THANK GOD WHEN ALL STAMPS WENT TO SELF STICK AND I NEVER HAD TO LICK ANOTHER STAMP!

(and you can totally contact anyone that left me feedback after I sold them a game and they will tell you I am laid back and wear cool beach shirts).

And as far as the shirt thing, everyone at the post office loved the cool shirts I wore. Even now they still talk about all that.

My girlfriend hates the fact I wear Hawaiian shirts all the time, but I just tell her something about the material in other shirts gives me a bad rash so I have to wear these.

(part 2 coming up, need another Natty).

    Quoted from JohnnyPinball007:

(part 2 coming up, need another Natty).

I do not mess with this anymore, or I would not tell you.

Back in the days from 1995-2012 the post office auctions right in my backyard were DAMN awesome!

I was buying all these tubs of CD's and DVD's and books. And putting them on ebay and amazon.

And early on VHS was still good also, some Columbia House VHS tapes that were Bugs Bunny or whatever would sell for $240.00 for one, while I just paid on average $900.00 for a whole tub of stuff at auction.

At one time around 2001 the post office tried to make more and do ebay themselves, sucked, but at the same time I had a friend that worked for K-Tel, and they were going bankrupt, and I bought all their inventory for pennies on the dollar.

I was so pissed that the post office auctions were messed up, but it turned out to be a major blessing, because the K-Tel stuff in the end was so rare and I was able to get better prices.

I did meet my best friend during the post office auction days. He lives in Buffalo, NY and last summer me and my girlfriend hung out with him at Niagara Falls and even my girlfriend was amazed how cool he is. (off subject but his wife is a bitch and did not join us).

And while I was mailing a average of 60 items a day, sometimes as high as 180 in a day, I also had a construction company with one part time helper, operating backhoes mostly installing storm drains at most Burger Kings, Eckerd Drug Stores, and whatever else about that size at the time.

Sometimes I would get home at 10pm from doing construction, check my email and see i had 60 orders.

Get done with those 60 orders around 1am or so. Get up at 5am and go to the post office. (I could get in anytime after 4am to the back, back then), and be on a construction site again by 7am.

I am so glad those days are over for me.

BUT, and I hope all of you are doing awesome and do not even need this advice, but for a while now the post office has been letting a company called govdeals.com handle their auctions.

I think to get to those you click "recovered items"?

I never messed with it, I hated those people and the way they came in there and I was going to have to pay another 10% or whatever so they could get a piece of the pie.

AND, technology killed so much of all this anyway.

For a long while a rare VHS would sell for 240.00 on ebay all day long. THEN here comes DVD and kills most of that.

Same with cassette tapes, cd's, dvd's, everything. Technology killed everything. Killed record stores, book stores, Blockbuster! Border!

Suddenly no need to go buy at a store or online, I can just DOWNLOAD anything I want.

    Quoted from joemagiera:

I got about 500 DVD's to sell and I got some quotes from local resale places, under a quarter each. Come on, I was hoping to at least get a dollar. But I don't know how to sell on anything buy ebay.

10-15 years ago 500 good DVD's would have been $3000.00+.

    Now, almost worthless.

I know and it sucks. I miss the good old days myself.

And those Defranco Cds I still have left on amazon for 79.99, they are on ebay for 199.99. Same as most of what I have left over. Ports of the heart I have on Amazon 8.99, on ebay 14.99.

BUT, to buy all this I got a whole lot of crap also that went straight to the dump, so to tell the whole story, when I do sell something for good money, it makes up for the crap I also had to take in the deal.

Recently a buyer asked if I would take 30.00 for a DVD I have listed for 59.99.

I said no, I still have 1200 of this other DVD in stock that was in that deal and I have to cost average out to make a profit.

(and I was lowest price on that DVD at 59.99. I think the next lowest price is 199.99).

So just think about that in terms of pinball machines.

I have some stuff for sale for 59.99 to 79.99 on Amazon, and on ebay and Amazon others are asking 199.99 because of rarity.

And I confess at this point whatever I get is all profit. But at the same time I will take that profit myself for all the work I have done and not get suckered into someone else just looking to make a quick buck off me.

Kind of like my rental houses, I get a average of 10 junk letters in the mail weekly someone wanting to buy one of my houses.

I AM NOT RICH, but I can stay up a tad late and have a few Nattys and sleep late the next day.

UNLESS my girlfriend is here, she gets pissed when I spend too much time on Pinside.

And I did suck at pinball while ago, but I had a great time.

And if anyone reading this wants to try post office auction govdeals stuff and amazon and whatever else, just never mention me to anyone you meet. It was always kind of a bond we would never advertise and bring anyone else into this.

I highly advise against any of that, but it did work for me for a while, if you are desperate or just looking to goof off, have fun, you will not see me there, I retired from that place.

    #2473 3 years ago

If anyone here ever does try the post office auctions, or any auction or new business for that matter, just please be careful, and stick with things you already have a lot of knowledge about.

And while ago in another thread LTG was AWESOME!, he told someone never ever even try to start your own business if you do not have funds saved you can survive on for at least a year, in case things do not go the way you planned.

I always thought I was doing ok, I have never been rich, and not even trying to get rich, (but just enjoy life as much as I can), anyway, that 2008 stuff hit me hard.

2008 I had 3 mortgage payments on 3 rental houses and a sorry property manager and sorry tenants and a long distance girlfriend that took too much of my time.

To this day I do miss that gal, but I could not keep staying out of town at her awesome place, I had to be right here taking care of my business, I was getting close to losing everything, just to keep her happy.

At one point I was about ready to let my places go, and try to buy others. Everything sucked and was just depressing.

Damn 2008. Better houses than what I already had 80k loans on were selling for 50k.

I confess I am glad I never took the easy way out and just went bankrupt or whatever.

The path I chose has made what little hair I have left all gray, but all is worth it now.

I am happy and content now. And again by no means am I rich.

I do not need any of that, I do not need a mini mansion in a gated community.

My newest vehicle is a 2005 GMC Yukon I bought with 129,000 miles on it. (and damn it is nice, even has a sunroof I have never used) $6500.00

Unless you just have tons of money you will never use and want to waste, or a business and doing awesome and need a tax write off, there is no reason to blow 80k or whatever on a pick-up truck, suv, or any car.

Save that car money and retire earlier, or at least semi-retire earlier.

I am glad I was frugal enough to semi-retire long ago, and pick and choose what I want to do now.

I confess I have been using this virus stuff making excuses to my biggest customer that I want to be left alone.

His response: can you help me install a underground backflow preventer next week.

Me: ok, I will be there.

And I confess that even though I hate like hell to have to get up at 5am to help Eric, as long as he keeps being nice, and fun to be around, yeah, I will keep helping him.

It is not even like a job or even working for someone else.

Eric is self employed like I am, and sometimes asks me to help him for a while. and he is fun to be around and he pays good. I bill him 4 times a year, some customers I bill monthly, one I bill yearly.

And very funny that some people only know me as doing construction, and when I mention when it comes up I get paid 4 times a year from that work, it blows their mind.

I have heard this many times: "you are unique, how many people that do work like that can go 3 months without getting paid, most get paid on Friday and are broke on Monday".

Well, I also have 3 rental houses, and other businesses, and try to stay frugal but at the same time try to have as much fun as I can.

And I confess I am finally tired of paying 7k for a nib pin, and after 800-1600 plays selling it here for 5500-6000. (except I did make money on the JJPPOTCSE. and I actually do feel guilty from making a profit on a pin).

After up to 7-8 pins, and making room for more, I downsized to 2, and have been just totally going after variety, and variety is working great.

Big Buck Hunter is on a truck headed here now. I have never seen one, I have never played one. I seen comments here about it and talked to some friends, and they lit up and said it is a awesome game, and they were right about Golden Tee, so here I go again.

And yeah, the Natty talking now, but if anyone likes the Simon Birch movie, I am a tad like that, just not quite that small. He was eager to help and give advice, I try to also.

The last couple of days I noticed a pattern with my neighbor. I feared the worst, he is a tad big and his work has a lot of stress and I feared he had died. I called, emailed, and I was about ready to call the cops or something when he emailed back that yes he has been very sick for a few days.

Later we talked on the phone and just talking he seemed to feel a lot better.

And I confess, anytime I see that mail thing jumping on here, I instantly think, shit, what did I do that the mods are after me.

The last time it jumped it was the tracking # for Big Buck Hunter!

I am just here for fun, trying to entertain, and help when I can. I kind of always figure I will get in trouble for being so long in some of my posts.

Sorry for another long post, I confess I will try to not type so much again.

    #2479 3 years ago

    Thanks LTG!

    That was a awesome story!

Before I seen that I was just going to goof off and say "damn that JohnnyPinball007 guy sure makes long posts".

And I confess when I do make a long post I re-read it about 4 times before hitting the send button.

If I see anything that may be a no-no I delete.

I love Pinside and everyone here, and I do not want to get "frozen" out of it.

I just made a long post somewhere else, and it is true what I said there.

I am a workaholic, and Natty chills me out so I can have some fun.

I do not trust drugs(I probably need some, but I do not trust them), but I do trust Natty to wind me down and relax.

And I confess I hope Lloyd enjoys typing his stories as much as I enjoy reading them.

And someday I want to do a road trip and hang out with him and Prada.

And if LTG and a few others are ever in my area, no need to get a motel, I have 3 extra beds here, and a variety of games.

After this virus stuff chills out though.

For now the only person I get within 6 feet of is my girlfriend, and she was already a germaphobe before all this mess hit.

And I confess, and I may have said it before, while this virus sucks, I do like the distancing at the stores. It used to get old these people bumping into me while I was standing still.

And has been very nice that I have not even caught a cold or anything else this year, because I have been careful.

I confess I wish everyone here the best always!

    Quoted from LTG:

    Got reminded of another story.

And it was a great story also! Please keep sharing!

I was making a long rant at the same time you were telling another story.

I know you are here so much helping everyone, and you have your own business to tend to, but isn't it nice to just unwind and type a fond old memory.

    Quoted from Coindork:

I ran out of deodorant early on when we were at stay at home orders and started using my wife deodorant.
    Still using it now.
    Fuck it.

The deodorant that I have used for years suddenly started giving me weird rashes, and I used my girlfriends for a while.

(the secret) is still there if I need it, but so far this AXE has been ok.

I have no clue what happened to Old Spice, but I was getting some nasty painful and itchy rashes for a while after all was good for 40 years.

And weird, but about the same time my girlfriend had problems and had to switch.

And yeah, I know your problem was ran out, but reminded me about issues that were also going on with this stuff all of a sudden.

    #2485 3 years ago

I confess that yellow jackets always sting me at least 2 times, most of the time a lot more.

    It happens like this:

I will be in the yard with a weed eater doing trim work, and get too close to a nest I did not know was there.

First sting "CRAP, WHAT WAS THAT"?

Then by the second sting I know to start running.

    Quoted from punkin:

Confession wrung from me that yesterday at the age of 56 i put product in my hair for the first time ever.

Got a hair cut the day before and the barber put wax in my hair (first time i've moved away from a crew cut in 30 years) and she explained how to use it. bought some and tried it. I like it.

Was just not the done thing for a bloke when i was young and then i went to crew cut.

I have been shaving my head for over 20 years now.

I used to go to the beach a lot, and it was starting to get thin. I had 2 choices, wear a hat, and I used to hate hats, or use sunscreen.

Sunscreen just made my hair look oily so I started shaving my head.

And my hair was all gray by 35 anyway, so I look younger with my head shaved.

And lately because I never go anywhere I have been lazy and not shaving my head, and my girlfriend is getting ticked.

I confess I hate that people use abbreviations for game names. Just write the damn name of the game.

I confess I used to feel that way, but I am used to it now.

The next time I drive down to Florida, I’m stopping by Johnny’s with a trunk full of Natty 30 packs.

Is there a way to upvote a post 100 times? Asking for a friend.

    #2511 3 years ago
    Quoted from Slugmeister:

I confess I've never actually seen anyone drink a natural light beer before.Nothing personal.

No one has ever seen me drink one.

Now if they were standing next to my fridge, and seen me put the Natty can in the koozie, they would know.

Just looking at the drink in my hand, it is in a koozie that says:

Harpoon Harrys Panama City Beach Florida.

And I confess I wish I was already in bed, but the excitement of the night and everyone that wants to talk about it and not leave me alone got very old. Talking about what I had going on in the What Would You Do topic.

I used to love living on a dead end street with woods on one side of me and a lake on the other side. (not jammed in). But now it is getting old.

Oh yeah, while ago when I called the cops they did not answer after 8 rings, so I thought maybe they were defunded now, or just busy with something else, so I hung up.

Boom, 3 seconds later they were calling me back and showed up the fastest they ever have.

If you want really good response to a 911 call, trust me, hang up before they answer and you get awesome service.

And I talked to the cops after they were done, and they were awesome.

See Something, Say Something. I believe in that these days.

I am doing all I can to keep my area safe.

My only neighbor that lives a 1/8 mile away is doing great with this also.

I now confess that while I love living far away from any neighbor, maybe I should move to where houses are 10 feet apart.

(and when I went out to talk to the cops, I had both my hands in the air with Natties so that they knew I was cool).

I confess that yeah, if I am speeding, and a cop gives me a ticket, well that sucks, but I am still polite.

Cops also help, big time, with other issues.

With cops it is not always just trying to cost you money on some ticket, they do still protect and serve.

BUT, if you are caught driving with a Natty in your hand, that could be a different story. I will never know because I do not drink and drive, not even one.

AND, if you have to drive after a late night, make sure you have had plenty of sleep before you drive.

Preferably one hour sleep for each Natty before you drive.

For example it is 3am here now, and maybe I have had 20 Natties.

So by my own rules I am not safe to drive until 11pm Saturday.

That works for me, I will probably pop one at 6pm Saturday, so I am not going anywhere, and with so many people having cooties these days, I do not want to go anywhere anyway.

(for anyone that does not know me, some of this is supposed to be informative, and some of this is just to try to make you smile or even maybe laugh).

(no, I have not had 20 yet tonight...another joke, I am still on #10 and that is it).

    #2512 3 years ago

    On #11, or 21?

This Big Buck Hunter is awesome, and different, but in the owners manual it does not say how to switch to free play, and I am not one that just starts hitting buttons.

I am glad to have it here, and not play in a bar somewhere. (I do not go to bars, I do not drink and drive). (I do drink, and I do drive, just with plenty of time in between).

Anyway when me and my girlfriend was playing it, every 2 minutes it seemed like I had to put 4 more quarters in it. We went through 40.00 in no time.

It even has a has message that says swipe card.

I was joking with my girlfriend while ago that operators have to love this, some guy goes to a bar, has a few too many, and ends up with a credit card bill for 120.00 or whatever from playing this.

BUT, before anyone gets mad at me, think about this:
    1. we may need to behave and isolate for a while anyway.
    2. so why not go after the home market like pinball hopefully has/will.

I know a while back this game was totally for bars, and they have tournaments, exclusive to bars to help operators.

But with the way things are changing I wish they would make it available for private home use also, so the people that loves to do this can have fun in their own home.

Nothing in this for me, I never want to play online or in any contest.

I think a lot of people enjoy this game and times have changed, so I am speaking for the people that would love to keep having fun with what they were doing, but now from home so they can stay safe.

I 100% mean to just be helpful, to help keep a awesome game alive in a world that has changed.

(and this game is awesome, and beautiful, and cool, and refreshingly different). I give it 10 stars out of 10.

(thanks PW79 for talking this up, you are the reason I have one now).

And another thanks to King Pin Games, and Classic Game Rooms, and Betson.

And THANKS LTG! You have told us some very cool stuff, please keep sharing all you can!

Pins are the best, no debate. (for me TWD pro, and OKT). I like others also.

When you want some variety. ping pong table, pool table, super chexx, Golden Tee, Big Buck Hunter, damn it is a great day to be alive.

    #2517 3 years ago

I just confess it was a great day to be alive, and the night is not over yet, but my time on this site is over for a few hours.

I wish all of you the best always!

    Quoted from EJS:

A few years back there was a guy who went on a beer only diet for 3 weeks to lose weight. It worked.

Maybe that is what helps keeping me slim!

    #2530 3 years ago

Back when I was 16, I was all into cologne trying to impress the ladies. Halston, Polo, etc.

That did not last long, all that shit just started to make me sneeze and other reactions.

Almost 4 years ago my current girlfriend gave me a bottle of something she likes.

She sometimes bitches now that I have only used that crap 2 times in 4 years, but she has seen how I just start sneezing.

She is pretty awesome, she knows not to wear perfume around me, or I will just sneeze.

(and I am not some puny dude that is just "sensitive" to everything), but damn, strong odors make my nose go crazy anymore.

And while pinball is the ultimate! For variety Golden Tee is awesome, and so is Big Buck Hunter.

Although Big Buck can make your arm/shoulder sore if you play too long.

And right after dinner, a simple and very cheap ping pong table is good to play for 30 minutes for some exercise.

(a ping pong table does take a lot of space that could be used for pins, but good therapy when you try to get your pinball addiction under control).

    Life is awesome!

If you can do well at all then as you get older you will have toys like when you were young, except they will be a whole lot bigger and better.

I am not rich. I used to look at the "show us your game room" on here, and I was hell no, I just have these games in my office in my basement, and nothing at all fancy like all that.

Man those pics of all the awesome comfy chair home theaters and bars and everything else I was just like WOW!

BUT, I am never even trying to keep up with anyone, I do not do that. So far I am still using a flip phone with no internet for calls, and a cheap computer for being here and conducting business that pays my bills.

I confess I am glad I was able to break this pinball addiction. At one time I was up to 8, and making room for 12.

Now I have 2 pins that will never leave, and a variety of other games also.

Long ago when I bought the boat, several old timers told me the best day of your life is when you buy that boat, and the 2nd best day of your life is when you sell that boat.

I was the same way with pins.

All NIB that I went and picked up, un-boxed back here, pulled out any packing out of the playfield, and that new pin smell..awesome.

(maybe if they could make a cologne that smells like a new pin I may could wear that).

And the one topic: Who Likes Beer?

I was all into that until I seen it was all this "in my opinion" weird and high dollar beer. And those beers were in very nice basement bars.

I confess there are threads here that I would still like to look at, but if I do I feel like I have failed in life.

Sometimes I would like to put a pic in the "what game did you bring home today" topic. But I am embarrassed how my area is just so simple and not fancy.

(at least with that topic a lot of pics are just in a suv or a garage).

Anyway, I am not feeling well at the moment. (beer did not help, but also did not hurt), and my main concern is my Mom.

Mom knows I have a will, but she has bad memory loss and will never remember.

So if anything ever happens to me, maybe someone here can contact the members that have left me feedback(most are local), to maybe just try to remind Mom that I do have a will.

I hope it never comes to this, but the will was done before I ever purchased the first game, so most likely Mom would be happy to have help, and give someone a game for helping.

And I fully trust my girlfriend, her name is Phyllis. She just lives the next street over, 3 houses across the lake.

I have a awesome lawyer I have trusted for over 25 years, Carl Adcock. His office is near Atlanta Rd. and 285.

I confess I wish I could just be funny as hell and entertaining right now, but I am having weird issues, so I just wanted to make a record of some things.

And that damn Oktoberfest topic I love to read because I have one jinxed me the other day. So many pics of the ball getting stuck off the beer barrel ramp, and I thought I was so glad I had never had that happen, and BOOM, 3 times in a row the next time I played.

And if anyone that already has a very fancy game room reads this, trust me, you will want the new Big Buck game. It is fun to play, and it is lit up like a fancy jukebox when not being played. It makes my simple man cave look like a Dave & Busters or something.

    Thanks guys!

I never get headaches, but I had a bad sinus headache last night, and opposite problems on the other end.

That all started before I even had a Natty.

I must be allergic to whatever rag weed or pollen is happening now.

The other problem must have been my girlfriends cooking.

I hope everyone is having a awesome Holiday!

    Quoted from EJS:

Oh and don’t worry about money either it’s overrated and you can’t take it with you.

I think you are wrong. I have seen commercials that say American Express Travelers Checks are good ANYWHERE!

    Quoted from EJS:

    Have you tried Flonase before?

When I was young I had to go get allergy shots 3 times a week. (because my Dad could not stand to hear me clear my sinuses).

I am supposedly allergic to 7 kinds of grass, 14 kinds of trees, ketchup, mayonnaise , milk, and I have no clue what all.

I mostly work outdoors these days, and I love Hunts ketchup! (need to start a poll on that, my Mom and girlfriend prefer Heinz, and I am fine with Heinz, but I have just always liked Hunts a tad better).

Anyway, my sinus drainage makes me have to clear my throat a lot, and not even that loud, and it has been pissing my girlfriend off. (and she does shit that ticks me off and I never say a word).

The main time my girlfriend was getting annoyed was when we were playing Golden Tee, and I was sitting in a bar stool right next to the game, so now I just sit further away, and she does not complain.

Last night I did have a killer sinus headache or something and I thought I may die it was so bad.

I will go to a doctor, and get pills if I really need to, but I confess I just do not trust any kind of drug, not even one that is supposed to be a fun one. I just do not do drugs unless I am in very bad shape.

Long ago I did take one flu shot, and that crap almost killed me.

100% I am not against anything if I really need it, but my experience has been (and holy shit, I just spelled experience correctly without spell check), anyway, my past has for me doing better the more I can stay away from any drugs.

I have had low sugar since I was 17, I can not even say or spell that word for what I have.

I would love me a Krispy Kreme donut, but for whatever reason they about put me in a coma.

Before this virus hit, as a treat to myself about 2 times a year I would go to Waffle House and order a All Star breakfast for dinner.

I like the bacon limp, and the eggs scrambled, and I had to just be very careful not to use hardly any syrup at all on the waffle. Too much syrup, almost in a coma later.

I take all this stuff going on these days highly serious, I know I am high risk.

ANYWAY, thank goodness that the natties are a good treat and do not mess with my other stuff.

Once someone that cared about me said they were concerned about me drinking beer.

That person consumed a lot of diet cola.

I said ok, lets compare ingredients, my drink has water, barley, malt, grains, hops and yeast. (looks like a V-8 with a slight kick to me).

I am not even going to try to spell the long words on that soda can they were drinking, some started with ace I think.

But, as far as drugs, I will try anything if I get to the point I am suffering.

2 years ago I had no problem getting 11 stiches and a tenuis shot after I cut my knee with a chainsaw when I tripped while working.

And when I was younger I was on stuff like sineade, sinulin, and I forgot what all else, and I never really felt great.

For me anyway, as long as I can stay away from any pill, or any drug, I just feel better.

(I do like the smell of some drugs, the good old days when we had concerts).

And thanks EJS, and all others that try to be helpful!

We are all getting older and may need advice and help as time goes by.

    Quoted from LTG:

You are in things that matter.

    Thanks LTG!

You have been super awesome helping everyone here for as long as I have been here.

I am glad I am here now. I am glad we are all here now, Pinside is awesome!

I hope your business is doing awesome and Prada is getting plenty of belly rubs!

And just yesterday I was highly pissed off. I was looking at the "Community" here, and I seen someone gave you a downvote.

If I just said how that made me feel that anyone here could downvote you of all the members here, well, I would be worse off than O-din, and I would never get to be back.

All the awesome advice you give here all the time and you spend so much time helping people for free, and maybe you relaxed or something and just made some post to unwind or something? And some asshole gave you a downvote, that really pissed me off.

    You are the Best!

And I wish you and everyone except whoever gave you a downvote the best always!

(and if you ever write a book, I want to be the first to buy your book).

You tell some awesome stories also, and it also pisses me off that you do not get at least 100 upvotes when you cut loose and tell a old funny story.

My favorite so far is about when the bikers saved the day.

And I know I am a bit of a dumbass when it comes to working on a game, because I have not done it much. But I can operate a backhoe or excavator pretty well, and some people never get that down.

On this site, the most I can do is entertain, and be positive.

But I do feel good that I did give some answers in the Big Buck Hunter arcade topic, now that one is here.

Pinball will always be the best. but Golden Tee and Big Buck Hunter is nice to have around also.

And damn it, last year I fulfilled my bucket list of going to every amusement park I ever wanted to go to, and seeing some friends also that lived 800 miles away, and I was 100% done, and no more trips, now I have one more thing to do:

Last thing on my bucket list now is to give Prada a belly rub.

Please post pics of Prada more often in Dogs Rule!

AND, I see more and more other Pinsiders trying to help each other, and it is all super awesome!

I have never made the first downvote here, and I never will.

But I confess I will just click on a new topic, and anything funny or positive or helpful I am quick to upvote.

    #2538 3 years ago

I confess that I did all I could to help Dad in his final years, and now I am helping Mom.

    Getting old sucks.

I never wanted kids myself, never had any.

Never wanted to be married, never have been.

BUT now I have a awesome girlfriend that is in the same boat(except for when she tries to cook anything it makes me sick, DAMN, who would have guessed I was the better cook).

Anyway awesome she is 3 houses away, about a half mile across the lake on the next street over.

She loves all the games as much as I do except she did tick me off when recently I wanted to play Oktoberfest and she wanted to play The Walking Dead. (and that did not really tick me off).

Anyway, we are in the same boat almost, we are both taking care of aging Moms, but hers is a mean pain in the ass, while my Mom is like a angel.

My lady wants to marry me, and I say it will not work at the moment.

It is nice how we spend time together and play awesome games while we both help with our Moms.

    (and other stuff), but anyway:

As far as Moms, if her Mom falls or something I can help lift her back up.

If my Mom were to fall, she can also help my Mom if needed.

And sometimes work does have me traveling a bit far away from my Mom, but my lady can be there in a matter of minutes to help, and that to me is priceless.

And it amazes me. Her Mom is just hateful and spiteful and anything negative you can think of.

My Mom is just a angel, and awesome.

My Mom loves this lady, and I do also.

(Dad was a whole another story, awesome for years then a real chore for years).

And as far as words, hospice has to be about the saddest of them all.

Getting old sucks, but at least we have some awesome games to play for a moment!

And awesome people and awesome dogs!

Good thing he types everything out in different sentence rather than paragraphs haha

And I type really slow, to try to make it easier to read.

    #2549 3 years ago
    Quoted from snowy_owl:

I confess I still am not very good at typing. If I try to be fast then I end up being sloppy. If I try not to be sloppy, I take a long time.

I confess I type with only 2 fingers. I am pretty fast though.

    #2553 3 years ago

I confess way back when I was around 4-6 years old I was a very picky eater.

My favorite food was a mayonnaise sandwich with no peeling. (yeah, I called the outer edge peeling)

Even now my family still laughs about all that.

And I have had girlfriends through the years that would say things like "you were just spoiled, I would never have taken the time to do all that".

And those girlfriends did not last long at all, but I have a awesome family that have always been great at helping each other through the years as needed.

    #2555 3 years ago

I confess Oktoberfest is the first game that I ever actually looked at the owners manual.

I had already read on Pinside about may need to change the upper flipper power. (and turn family setting off).

I guess the Sterns came with a manual in the goodie bag? I never opened any, The Walking Dead pro's goodie bag is still stapled to the side.

I have also sold all my other games with the goodie bag still stapled, except the JJP Pirates. I forget why but I did open that one looking for something.

Last week I did read the owners manual for the Big Buck Hunter arcade game that was just delivered.

And I confess I hope California can get a whole lot of rain or something to help with their fires very soon.

    #2561 3 years ago

At this moment I have to be very short.

While ago I had the silent treatment, and I did not even know it until later when I was told that I just had it.

    (I liked it).

I wanted to watch the NFL game, but I wanted to watch a actual game with no other agenda, so we tuned in a few minutes after the game started.

I am so glad nothing political is allowed here, I wish all the local tv stations I watch were the same.

Political stuff just seems to get worse every year, and I am tired of any of that.

I am at at peace here on Pinside.

We can talk pinball, golden tee, big buck hunter, and see pictures of awesome dogs and other things.

TV is driving me nuts with all the back and forth.

I love being here on Pinside.

I wish all of you the best!

    #2577 3 years ago
    Quoted from LTG:

when you get into that room scream, "it's Elizabeth" and fall forward doing a fake faint.

I did something similar a while back while waiting in line for the Maverick at Cedar Point.

When the line is out of the building you are next to a small pond and you can see fish in the pond(and money people have thrown in through the years, and personally I like to look at money also).

Anyway, only worked the first time I ever tried it, but so many people were just relaxing looking at the fish, and I yelled "SNAKE"!

It was funny as hell, about 30 people jumped back away from the railing, and my girlfriend at the time actually wet herself.

    #2578 3 years ago
    Quoted from JohnnyPinball007:

Anyway, only worked the first time I ever tried it

I confess I did try that about 3 more times through the years, and never worked as well. Only 1 or 2 jumped back.

Someone must have warned everyone about this dude with a shaved head wearing a Hawaiian shirt.

    #2579 3 years ago
    Quoted from Gunnut40:

I guess Johnny has grown on me.

Jaybird has already said next time he is on the way to FL he is going to stop by here with some beer.

You are welcome to also, same as LTG, and about 50 other pinsiders at the moment.

(not all at once, and with the virus stuff right now only when you are headed south you can stop by).

If you are driving north, take the 285 east by pass when traveling through here.

If you are headed south, take the 285 west by pass, and I am only about 6 miles off 285 and very easy to find.

The only people I have met in person on here so far was when I was selling a game, and they left me feedback.

I am sure if you sent a message to any of those Pinsiders they will tell you my place is easy to find, a regular place and not a mansion or even a mini mansion, and I am laid back.

I confess I am a tad short in conversation until about 7pm when I have my first Natty.

I am self employed and always thinking about something until Natty relaxes me and I open up.

My best friend lives in Buffalo NY, and he and all my girlfriends have agreed that if they want to hang with me, I need a beer to loosen up.

When some people drink they want to fight.

When some people drink they want to get stupid with all this "I love you man" crap.

When I drink I just relax, and try to help someone have a good laugh.

The members here that have met me was way too early and no Natty, and they would just say hey, he is just a normal dude.

I confess one main reason I first joined Pinside was because this is a desert in my area for location play, and I was tired of driving 200 miles to a bar cade to try a game I was thinking about buying.

Once I contacted a member not far away, and he was awesome, even invited me to join their league.

I never made it, my work got crazy.

(and I confess that while I love pinball, I also suck at it, and I did not want anyone to see how bad I actually play).

Anyway, like I have said before, I like everyone here.

I love Pinside because of the no politics and religion stuff, and anyone that I ever meet face to face it is just the same way.

BUT... I do know some funny jokes I can not post on here, so face to face if you say the right stuff, I will share some jokes.

AND... if I can tell you are totally opposite from my sense of humor, I will stay chilled out and you will never hear any of those jokes.

Anyway I am pretty sure most everyone here knows how awesome The Walking Dead pro is.

I think many here have not played Oktoberfest yet and may be on the fence.

Well, if you stop by you can try those pins if you want, along with a Big Buck Hunter Reloaded mini offline, and a 2020 Golden Tee home edition, and a multicade with 12k games.

And yeah I have the other stuff, corn hole and ping pong.

(I like pool ok, never wanted a pool table. I kind of wanted a air hockey table, my girlfriend does not care for it and fine I am out of space anyway).

I live in a pretty cool place, not jammed up, not a shot gun shack, or a mini mansion, but a place with plenty of storage.

I am 100% happy and content.

Once I was up to 8 pinball machines and making room for more.

I am now totally happy with 2 pins, and all the other variety here now also.

Last year I fulfilled my bucket list.

Now I have a one more thing to do.

My final bucket list is to give Prada a belly rub.

I just hope that can happen. These days crap is just so crazy.

These days I worry about 2 things:

    1. this virus(I am in the risk with age and blood sugar issues). I try to be very careful with all that.
    2. peaceful protesters that may shoot me when I go out to buy food. And I try to be very careful with all that also.

AND I have said it before, but DAMN I wish something could happen to help with all the fires out west.

It is very sad seeing all the neighborhoods burned and everything else. Just sad. Any loss of life sucks.

And there have been plenty of pictures on here about all the smoke also.

    Just not good at all.

I wish everyone here the best always!

    #2593 3 years ago
    Quoted from EJS:

Coming into MSP airport you are technically in

You had actually lost me there.

If I come within 10 miles of any airport I have made a wrong turn somewhere and I am lost.

I used to like to ride on a plane, but the last time was 1998, and security ticked me off enough then with stupid crap I said never again.

I stopped riding on planes 3 years before security became way worse.

I confess I think it is funny when someone says they are going to fly somewhere.

You do not have any damn wings, you are not going to "fly" anywhere.

You may ride on a plane, but riding and flying are 2 completely different things.

And I did find out why I was a target of security in later years.

That bag from 1998 just sat and collected dust for 10 years, and I was never going to ride on another plane, so I was just going to throw it away.

Before throwing it away I checked to see if I had left anything in it.

    I swear I found a bundle of $1's ($50.00), and several bullets.

Back then I was drinking around 35 Bud Lights a day, and going to strip clubs with friends, and I still have no clue about any of that stuff in that bag.

Security was asking me to take the battery out of my pager, and all kinds of crazy shit. Pissed me off.

If security had just said why do you have bullets in your bag, I would have said shit, I did not even know they were in there.

But back in 1998, while security pissed me off, I was riding on a plane with bullets in my bag and I did not even know it.

I drink a lot less now, a whole lot less.

Hell, if I wanted to ride on a plane I would probably pass through with flying colors now.

But then you have to also deal with assholes to rent a car and all that.

Hell no. Since 1998 all my trips have been road trips.

And I have been to St. Paul MN once, back around 1996, the last time there was a post office auction there.

    Quoted from EJS:

From a Covid perspective you may need to give some things a little more time.

    You damn straight!

My girlfriend has been getting some cabin fever and missing going to the beach, and I am 100% hell no, I am not going anywhere right now, not even out to eat.

It was just super awesome that last year I completed my bucket list, and retired from travels, before all this hit.

And now I have a new bucket list forming.

    1. is to give Prada a belly rub.

And that along with anything else I ever do will be a road trip after this mess is calmed down.

I would add other things to do also while on the trip, like maybe stopping by Branson MO again and going to Silver Dollar City again.

There is never a need to ride a plane if you can drive to where you want to go, and you have the extra time to drive.

All a plane ride does is save you some time.

"Most" plane rides will never save you any money, if you plan to go to several places along the way the rental car will eat you alive.

And I like stopping at cheap motels along the way, plenty of entertainment from the locals living there.

    Quoted from Gunnut40:

My number one is seeing a twister in real life!

I have seen those here, but the ones I seen did not touch the ground. Thankfully.

But that reminded me that a few years ago when I was in CA for a week going to there Six Flags parks I really was hoping to feel a decent earthquake.

Not one that would do any damage at all or anything like that.

I confess I have earthquake insurance on my house, but not my rental houses.

A long time ago when I still had a waterbed, something woke me up and I thought Atlanta had been hit by a nuclear bomb, and I looked out the window expecting the fallout or whatever to travel very fast 16 miles to here.

No flash of light happened like I thought it would, but yet everything was shaking.

It hit me, holy shit, that was a earthquake, I never knew we had those here.

It was all over the news the next day, it was actually centered around a small town in northeast AL.

Anyway, back to road trips and cheap motels. I could almost write a book.

One morning at a cheap motel in Tampa FL, I just was sitting outside the room drinking water, and having a cig, and the neighbor walks out smoking a joint, and talking about he was taking his exam today to get his CDL.

One night at a cheap motel in Bristol TN, I was unwinding outside after a long day of driving, with my bestest buddy Natty Light, and that neighbor, I felt so sorry for him.

That dude was just living there, down on his luck, and I was giving him some very good advice, and he was thanking me, then all of a sudden this motel owner comes out totally saying to him you have to go inside now, and gave me a evil eye.

That dude just cowered, never said another word, and went into his room.

I was about ready to call the cops or something, that was weird.

Who knows, maybe the motel could have had a lot of problems with that dude in the past or something, but he was not bothering me at all.

That motel was the 2nd worst shit hole ever. The outside had been redone and looking very nice, but the inside of the room was the worst ever. Like 3rd world country motel would have been nicer.

The worst motel ever, well, the owner was extremely nice, I have only good things to say about him.

But the room was 1950's big time, with weird ass sink and shower.

This was in Sandusky OH, I used to have a season pass for Cedar Point, and I was just trying to find a motel a tad closer to the park for a change.

During the day, when going to Cedar Point, I did cross some train tracks, and never thought anything about it, I never seen any trains.

So when I checked into this room for 5 days, with the tracks a stone throw away, I never thought anything about it.

I do like trains, and it was fun to sit outside and watch them go by while having a few beers, but after a while, it got old real fast.

For whatever reason, from about 10pm until 6am, there is a train every 5 minutes. 2 tracks, sometimes trains going the same way, sometimes opposite ways.

And lucky for me also a crossing a stone throw away. So every 5 minutes first you hear the ding ding ding of the crossing, and then those loud train horns, then the steady rumble for a while of the train passing.

And work had already wore me out bad, and I was needing some rest on this trip and I never was able to get any rest.

The 2nd night there I did go to the owner and say I am sorry, but I think I will have to leave.

I swear this dude was so cool, and if you have ever seen Colsond on here, this dude had that look, and offered me ear plugs to stay.

I just stayed the 5 nights and suffered, the dude was cool and I could tell he really needed the money.

And the place was cool as far as tons of open space with picnic tables and people having fun in the pool, but damn those trains sucked for 8 hours straight when I needed rest. Every damn night.

And I confess now, if I ever plan on staying anywhere on a trip for more than one night, I take a close look on Google maps to make sure there are no train tracks anywhere close by.

And where I live there are busy tracks about a mile away. You can hear the trains horns when outside.

I have relatives from Dawsonville stop by sometimes, and if on the porch in a rocking chair they hear it they think it is cool.

At least here it can only be heard while outside.

Recently a friend was interested in a house a block away from those tracks and asked my opinion.

I said HELL NO! That house is way too damn close to those train tracks.

And I know people that have lived near train tracks for a very long time and they all say "you get used to it".

I confess when driving I do not mind getting stopped by a train. I like to watch them.

No way in hell could I ever live any closer to train tracks than what I do already.

And very weird, I am 5 miles away from Six Flags Over Georgia, and when I was a kid I could hear those trains here, and I have not heard them in years now.

And if anyone here ever wants to go to Cedar Point, and not pay the 200.00 a night or whatever for the resorts, and would rather pay maybe 65 a night for a decent place with no train noise...I can give you awesome advice!

(and to clarify, there would be no train noise at the resorts also).

I confess these Great Wolf Inns or Lodges or whatever they are called cracks me up.

"a indoor waterslide for the kids and whatever" Only 150.00 a night.

Back in the day though at Cedar Point I did talk to a lot of cool dudes with money that loved those places and were actually paying for 2-3 rooms for the whole family.

And no, this is not a long post. It is actually 10-12 separate posts that I combined all into one post, so that anyone that does not want to read it can maybe skip over all of it easier.

And I confess I hope all of our scientists are making awesome headway at solving all of our issues.

I hope everything turns out simple and easy.

Like maybe by just having one Natty you are immune to any virus, and if you have 12, well, you are 12 times more safe.

And maybe something crazy like seeding a cloud with Advil or something will help it to rain, and no more fires.

And maybe some people that have been out in the street holding a sign for whatever reason will notice that things are getting back to normal, we have some football games on now.

I confess that I really like the Forest Gump movie. And to me that scene from that movie when he was just running all the time, and then he stopped, that is the way I see the world right now.

I wish the world could stop for a minute and chill out, and get back to simple times again.

Yeah, as much as anyone else I hate it when I am on a road trip and Whitesnake "here I go again" comes on the radio and I get the happy foot on the gas pedal, only to see blue lights behind me.

But if you just chill out, you may get a ticket you do not want, but you will be just fine.

There are a lot of things going on these days that makes no sense to me, but I wish everyone the best, and just be the best you can be always!

(and while I goof off on here and try to be funny, in real life I work so hard sometimes I have to drink 6 - 32 ounce bottles of Gatorade to keep going).

I confess I am getting too old for this shit, work that is.

As far as goofing off here I hope I have several years left.

    And I do miss O-din.

At the same time Robin is very awesome!

Some people here get excited to see a post from Vid, I never really was here in the forums when he was active.

Recently I seen a post from Robin that said he and O-din had talked, and I thought that was super cool!

And I confess I hope Matt Ryan never comes here and reads my posts about him always overthrowing receivers 10 feet over their head, he is the only person on Earth I do not care for, and I never want to fight him or anyone else.

Most other quarterbacks have expressions on their face when things do not work out, and I can relate.

Matt just always has a blank look on his face like he does not care.

And my girlfriend agrees with me most of the time, so I know I have to be right!

A old joke here, but (14)

    GOODNIGHT PINSIDE!

(and I hope I can give Prada a belly rub soon, just waiting until everything else calms down to travel again)

    Quoted from Blitzburgh99:

My guess is that it was a 30-pack Saturday night for Johnny and his girlfriend wasn’t around...lol

Close, only 14. and at the moment I would be fine being single again.

A real shame she loves all the games, but has to come in here with a attitude.

And if anyone actually does read the long shit I post, normally I am trying to be funny, but the funny stuff is in between all the other rant stuff.

Damn she is awesome so much of the time, and lives just 3 doors down on the other side of the lake on the next street over.

But she may have to go soon, I am getting tired of that attitude, and being accused of shit I have not done just because I am wearing a shirt she has never seen before or something stupid.

I am the same as always, she is going nuts.

She thinks even I am talking to females on here, (I wish). No females here, just kill me now.

Damn I was hoping to keep enjoying life with her, but hell no, I am tired of being accused of crap I have not even thought about doing, and she is just getting way too nutty for me to deal with.

    Quoted from swampfire:

I can’t really tell the difference between a Merlot, a Cabernet, a red Zin or a Pinot Noir.

Back when I was 12 or 14 my Grand Dad up in Dawsonville gave me some muscadine wine he made.

    THAT STUFF WAS AWESOME!

On road trips I have stopped at winery's and purchased a bottle of their muscadine wine.

They have all tasted like crap.

Not sure if my Grand Dad just made awesome stuff, or my tastes buds just got hooked on cheap beer.

And I am sure someone will read that and think that was awful giving a 12 year old wine.

Those people should stop reading this post right now.

Thinks were a lot different when I was young, there was no such thing as a DUI.

I personally even knew police officers that had beer while working.

I confess my first alcohol ever I was 6 years old, and it was one of those little Miller ponies at a fish fry. (I think they were called ponies, that was a long time ago).

My Dad was self employed in construction, and it was fun to grow up in all that.

Dad was in his dump truck a lot when I was young, and everyone was always laughing about how in his ac unit in the cab, he had beer stored in there and it was always ice cold.

Dad was always easy going, and you never knew if he had any beer in him at all.

My uncle on the other hand, he was very cool when sober, but when he drank he turned into a ass.

I confess I am glad my uncle got a DUI in later years and stopped drinking, because it did not agree with him.

People that knew my Dad and uncle would compare them to Archie Bunker, and Barnie Fife. (Dad was Archie).

Anyway, next time my girlfriend starts acting crappy I am going to start calling her out, instead of me being me, and being easy going while the crap builds up and me and ticks me off big time later.

She was all over the place Sunday, but since she has been fine.

Sometimes I am just too easy going for my own good.

And the main thing she was bitching about was the fact that Sunday I was in a lot better mood than normal, and I was wearing a Hawaiian shirt she had never seen, while at the same time I have not been wearing the Hawaiian shirt she bought me for Christmas.

I have to keep explaining to her, that with stuff going on that we never go anywhere, I am saving the good Paradise Found shirts that cost 50 bucks for when we do go out again, and I am just wearing cheap shirts while not going anywhere right now.

Sorry guys, I know some of my sentences are way too damn long tonight, almost paragraph long.

And I confess if you want variety in your game room, Golden Tee has been awesome, gets played every night for at least one round.

And the new Big Buck Hunter arcade I do not see going away ever, it is awesome. It costs a lot more than Golden Tee, but if you are looking for variety, it would be hard to top.

And I confess I kind of always wanted a air hockey table, but my girlfriend says she hates those, and that actually works out good because I am out of space.

And back to the stupid crap with my girlfriend, she got weird about a shirt she has never seen me wear:

I told her to look in my closet and she will find about 60 Hawaiian shirts she has never seen me wear.

Way back when I was young, I knew this one dude that was very successful, and he told me a story about how he had to stop drinking, because when he did he would just go to the airport and wind up somewhere and not remember anything.

I confess that I am not that bad, but anytime I go to the beach I like to walk around with a cooler full of beer at night, and shop for Hawaiian shirts.

I only have about 75 Hawaiian shirts right now.

As soon as it is safe to go out again I am ready to hit the beach again.

I hate to shop, but I love to be at the beach having beer and walking around shopping for shirts.

And the pic is of my favorite shirt, getting the boat ready to go do some night fishing now that it is finally cooling down outside.

And my avatar is a pic of my boat that went wrong, and got too close, and I said hell yeah, this is different, and I still use it.

And I confess I am so glad that I stopped just coming to this site as a non-member to look at the top 100 and read comments about a game I was thinking about buying, and a while back I did join and become active.

We see it all the time, like 800 Pinsiders here now, and 500 guests here.

For about 2 years I was one of those guests.

All I can say is those guests need to go ahead and join, so they can enjoy all this community has to offer.

It is so awesome how everyone here tries to help each other, with LTG always on top of that list.

And while ago someone sent me a pm asking where I bought my Golden Tee from.

And I confess when I used to get a pm I was thinking, oh crap, I got moderated for something.

But now I never even worry about it, I know if I do say something stupid I have still done a whole lot more to help than harm.

I confess that I was never a bad person to begin with, but just being here has made me a much better person after seeing how eager so many here are to help someone.

This is not even a site, this is a club designed to look like a site.

And I know, first rule is never to talk about the club...

But anytime I meet someone cool I will tell them about our club.

I wish all of you the best!

    Quoted from Jaybird815:

I confess that I have the same hairstyle as johnnypinball007

I confess this will probably not be funny because I am just drinking water at the moment.

When I was in my late 20's I had several friends with long hair so I tried that for a while.

When I had long hair it was amazing how many people I barely knew would make comments like "lets light one up, I know you have one".

They actually seemed to get ticked off when I would tell them all I do is drink beer, I do not do any kind of drugs.

For the hell of it I saved that long hair when I finally had it cut.

As far as these days I keep my head shaved because I look 20 years younger.

My hair is all gray now and very thin on the top if I do grow it.

I confess that even though it only takes about 10 minutes to shave it, I am getting lazy and thinking about seeing how much it would cost for laser hair removal.

No matter how much I try, I never seem to be able to write more than a few lines.

A few lines is a great start!

Some people just make a entire reply/post "lol".

I confess I am on the extreme for long posts/replies, but come on, posts with just lol or a smiley face...hell NO!

You are awesome on here Snowy Owl! I have never once read anything but positive posts you have made.

And a while back I said if anyone is passing through my area and wants to stop by, you are in that list.

I confess I hated English in school, but I always did well, and I was offered scholarships to colleges to write more.

HELL NO, I hated school and I wanted to get out and make some money.

I won the "outstanding English award" in high school, while I thought I had a good chance at the "business award".

And way back, even though I hated writing, I kind of liked it as long as in my spare time and not forced. Kind of like when I goof off here.

My first computer ever was for Ebay sales I was starting to mess with.

I did good with all that, I made it to 10k positives without the first negative on Ebay, and by 25k positives I only had 3 negs, and they were all assholes from Canada for some reason(sorry) it was just the way it was 20 years ago, no offence intended.

Anyway, sorry I wandered off from where I was going.

First computer ever, yes, to make money with in business.

But, I also started typing a novel I wanted to write, just goofing off.

AND back then computers were not as reliable as what we have now, and would crash and all your work go away in a instant. My experience anyway, that was long ago, now they seem a lot better.

Anyway, I confess I lost 200? pages of a novel I was writing many years ago, and I said screw it and never tried again.

About 10 years later Stephen King wrote something too similar anyway.

Long ago I also wrote some songs I thought were ok, but in later years I threw all that on the bonfire.

    And here we are today.

I hate to write. I hate to type.

But I so much enjoy being here and trying to make someone smile while I just goof off.

I am sorry I have clogged this topic with my long rants, but the first time I ever clicked here whatever someone else just said made me relax and want to type here.

And I hope LTG and others will also give us some more entertaining stories from the good old days!

2020 has been crazy. And now I may have tree bark in a lung from a freak accident?

I thought I was ok, but now not so sure. (tree bark thing, not funny, any doctors here)?

    Quoted from LTG:

My Mother bought it with my help.

Sorry I have to be short at the moment, but that is AWESOME!

I also helped my Mom a lot, I have purchased 2 brand new cars in my life, and both of them were for my Mom.

Mom is still driving the last new one now.

Mom always tells everyone what a awesome son I have been, and LTG, I am sure you have heard that many times also!

I confess I wish we could all just help each other these days, like we used to.

And LTG is the king of helping, no matter what he has always been here helping.

And I confess while ago a topic came up that I was about to joke I was ready to get my popcorn.

But that is the old me, and there is a new me that just said hell no, I will not have anything to do with that topic.

I confess I am so glad this site has rules, and moderators checking in and doing a awesome job.

I love it when I can just read posts on here and just give a thumbs up.

I confess, sometimes I want to give a thumbs up, but not sure I understand fully, so I go back later to see if others have approved.

I never said I was very smart, sometimes I wait for others to also approve something.

And it would be awesome if not only LTG could tell some more AWESOME! stories here, but also maybe a daily pic of Prada in the Dogs Rule!

(and maybe soon I can get a smartphone and a rescue dog myself). And do more here.

(and yeah, I am still not sure about that pine bark thing, only seems to bug me after a few beers).

GOODNIGHT PINSIDE! I wish all of us the best always!

    Quoted from LTG:

In February 1979 my Mother sold me her interests in it. Helped out part time until October 1987 when she retired full time. And I started working it all the time.

Please continue, is this the place you are still at?

Or did other things happen that you moved again?

(and dog rules! has been dead today), hopefully soon you can also revive that!

It is so awesome how you were always there for your Mom!

That is what a good son does.

Please keep sharing all your stories.

And Thank You again for all the help and advice you give here!

(and as soon as things going on calm down a bit, it is on my bucket list to play all the pins you have in your business, and give Prada plenty of belly rubs).

I love dogs, but after Stubbs (named by the pound, a dog we rescued) was so suddenly and violently taken away by coyotes, I am not ready for another dog yet, so another one ever has to deal with that tragedy.

I thought my yard was 100% secure and safe.

It has been a while and we are still heartbroken over this.

I hope to soon be able to go rescue a dog, and have a much better coyote proof area for it when I can not keep a eye out every second it is outside.

Coyotes suck. And what is up with that anyway?

Just in the last few years suddenly they are all over the place.

For about 50 years of my life a coyote was just something in a Looney Tune cartoon, and now they are real and kill our pets?

It is awesome Prada can be safe and in the game room.

As soon as I can be with a dog and protect it 24 hours a day I want to go to the pound and rescue one again.

Anyway, I confess that it still amazes me how a NIB pinball machine can fit in a box that size. (the box just looks too small to me).

And so much fun reading the instructions setting one up, and taking the glass off to remove all packing material on the playfield.

And I confess, after 800-1600 plays and I am tired of it, it has been awesome meeting people here and passing on a game to them for a great deal to them.

And now I just love to goof off on Pinside, more than even playing any game.

I confess I am so glad we have spell check here, because after a few beers posts may would look like:

I cunfoss: ewhi lwlhid hwill hhdkds

    hlds hllww hlhdslsd skskds.

(and my mind is warped). I actually went to bed, and thought this was funny while almost asleep, and I had to get back up and post it.

Too many times when my body is ready to go to sleep, my mind says hold on a minute, this may be funny and I need to go back and post this.

    GOODNIGHT!

And I confess that while ago I told my girlfriend that once this virus stuff gets under control we are making a road trip to MN to go to a very fun arcade.

    #2672 3 years ago

And I may have already confessed this, but I will confess it again:

I love the 6 foot markers in stores.

I used to get so damn tired of people bumping into me while I was in a line standing still waiting on the line to move.

And if they were smaller than me I would say what is your problem?

If they were bigger than me I kept my mouth shut.

(90% of the time I had to keep my mouth shut, I am not very big and I am getting old).

And while I try to stay safe and smart, why does any woman I ever date have to try to start crap that I may have to diffuse?

Most of the time my girlfriend is very awesome, but sometimes she makes a loud comment at the wrong time and I just roll my eyes and say really? That is your fight you just started, I do not start any fights.

And it is not only girlfriends, but also at one time most of my friends have made a dumb comment out loud at the wrong time and I have just rolled my eyes. (do not even try to drag me into something stupid you just started).

I confess that I try to avoid any conflict, and just get along.

I can stand tall if needed, but I hate being around anyone that just provokes anything.

I confess that I wish that everyone I knew was just as chilled out as I am.

I confess I was about to post in another thread, in response to something I read earlier today, and now it is closed.

Like 3-4 times in the last 10 days this has happened.

If ya'll don't start behaving soon the Lounge will only allow topics like collecting beanie babies.

I am so glad everyone behaves here, hopefully this and the bitch thread can keep surviving.

    #2712 3 years ago

    Yeah, that one.

I liked it and wanted to post something else that would have been a tad funny (and neutral).

    Quoted from RandomGuyOffCL:

These contentious threads I start are based on true stories but I purposely add trigger words to get people fired up.

Please keep doing that, it makes this site so much fun!

    Quoted from RandomGuyOffCL:

I just want to apologize for creating division.

You have no reason to apologize for anything.

You do not create division, all you do is expose hot heads that need a time out anyway.

    Sadly the USA is divided.

And while I can just read something and roll my eyes, I never respond, no need to, everyone has a right to their own opinion.

I am sick of both sides just being on such a short fuse these days.

I am sick of ads every 5 minutes on TV right now.

Whatever happened to we can just peacefully agree to disagree and hang out and have a beer?

And I confess even the worst hot heads I have seen here we would be ok playing a game and having a beer.

(and that one time), I confess I was trying to stir up some stuff here with my topic called "what is your problem" But all I was really doing was complaining about my knee problems, which thankfully are better at the moment because I have not worked much lately.

I am so glad Pinside has rules and awesome moderators myself.

I want to come here and have fun and hopefully laugh a lot. And sometimes get advice for a problem I have with a game.

I confess I rarely ever look at the top 100 anymore, and before I joined, that and the comments about a game I was thinking about buying was all I looked at.

I confess I hope this site can always be PG13 to R, and never have to go to a G. (is G still a thing, or just "everyone" now)?

This site is 100% fair with giving warnings when you are getting out of bounds.

Either learn from that and chill out a tad, or get a time out.

    2020 has been crazy.
    Virus
    worst fires in forever
    storms
    riots
(shortage of toilet paper for a while).

BUT, there have been a lot of positive things to happen also:
So many people would love to work from home and they can now.
With less cars on the road the air is better (or was before the fires)
Less traffic when you do go out
Because of staying away from others I have never had to go to the Doc this year, never even had a cold.
And Robin has been working on ways to make Pinside even better!

And I confess I miss having a dog. Eventually I will have to go to the County pen and bail another inmate out.

And I hope soon LTG can post another pic of Prada in the belly rub position in Dogs Rule!, and tell us another funny story.

(and I promise I will still buy his book, even if he has already posted the whole book here a little at a time).

VERY NICE right now that no more storms expected to develop in the next 5 days, and I hope very soon CA and other places can very soon get rain and anything they need to help with the fires.

Just try to stay positive these days.

PLEASE come here and post something funny or interesting! (and dog pics, damn I want another dog now).

I wish all of you the best!

    #2716 3 years ago
    Quoted from LTG:

New story is in the "Share 2020 Halloween decorations, costumes, stories, ideas, and more! " thread.

Also THANKS for the belly rub pic! I did a double take, the knees look like boobs at first.

Hey, There's always the corona thread. Same 3 or 4 guys showing graphs of more cases. Usual doom and gloom.

I am down for the count for now.

    Best always!

I confess a new tradition started here while ago:

The annual cooking/grilling of the very large decoy ribs.

The burn ban ends in a few days, so it was time to celebrate, and the decoy ribs turned out AWESOME! We will be having leftovers tomorrow.

I confess I know I need to slow down and explain all this better:

Burn Ban: From what I remember this started about time the Olympics was coming here, (I hope I can say that O word here, so much is trademarked and whatever these days).

I thought the burn ban would go away after the O word left town, but it never did.

Our burn ban runs from May 1 to September 30.

You can not burn anything outdoors during that time.

BUT, you can have a fire outdoors if you are cooking.

So here is when what my girlfriend labeled the decoy ribs came into play.

(because me and my friends split a whole lot of firewood here, like 40 cords a year for our personal use, the splitter does accumulate a lot of small scraps that need to be burned). (it does not work to store all that scrap for a long time, I need fires here).

Anyway, I am tight with food costs, and when my girlfriend seen that rack of ribs (huge, like a Flintstone cartoon), she said I can not believe you bought that for us!

I said I did not buy this for us at the moment, but if the Fire Department wants to show up and fine me $500 for burning during the burning ban, I have proof that I need a fire this big to cook this large rack of ribs, and they can not say one word about any fire that is used for cooking.

    LOOPHOLE! (sorry)

I confess I have had a lot of fun with this for months now. My girlfriend would ask what we were having for dinner, and I would say ribs if the fire department shows up and stays until I put them on the grate over the fire.

AND, I could have cooked any time anyway and it would be fine, oak, hickory, and pecan wood scraps was all I burned.

I never burn "trash", that is highly illegal, but year round the a$$holes behind me burn all their plastic trash and whatever and stink up the area.

Anytime I burn, or cook outdoors, my smoke smells like what a great BBQ place has coming out of their chimney. I never burn trash like others around here does.

(idiots sometimes even are throwing aerosol cans on their fires and shoots like a missal and ends up in my yard).

And I confess I was totally, well not totally, but a tad lazy with the decoy ribs while ago.

I boiled them on the stove for a hour, and then put them on a outside fire with charcoal and pecan scraps, and put sweet sauce on them while outdoors, and man they were super tender and super tasty.

I am no angel, but at least while I burn year round I am burning legal stuff to burn, and never any plastic or other crap the people behind me burns.

I can, and will throw a big rack of ribs anytime on a fire I start.

ANYWAY, please check your local code before you burn anything!

A few years ago tenants at a rental house left a lot of stuff and I was just going to pile it out back and burn it. I had already bought diesel fuel to get it going.

I told my uncle about that. He said hell no, you could get a big fine. Well, I still planned on doing what I was going to do, already had everything in a pile ready to burn the next day, BUT, after a few beers I researched a tad, and seen where I could get fined 1500.00 and jail time, for what just 300.00 to the dump would cost.

AND, when I did not light the fire, but instead started loading on trailers for the dump, I heard some neighbors say "we thought he was about to burn that".

It turned out that tenant really sucked and I did not know it, I was using a sorry property manager at the time that I did not know how bad they were until it was too late.

Anyway, I am so glad my uncle gave me a heads up.

The neighbors there still called the county and I got a warning about people parking on the grass, while making repairs on that house, so yeah they were just looking for any way to mess with me.

And all along I had no clue how bad that tenant was, I was using a property manager.

Turns out that tenant had already let his power bill go, and was using a very loud generator 24 hours a day. Everyone in the area was looking to draw blood. And I never had a clue, until almost too late.

And I confess I am still worried about posting some stuff here I would like to share, because FUNNY!

When LTG was posting about the pumpkins, I started thinking maybe I could post more also.

I confess I was a tad afraid to post this decoy rib post, but at the same time there is no way it could ever be proved if I am just burning wood scraps during a burn ban with no intention of actually cooking.

And I hope this has also inspired others to think outside the box and look at loopholes for what you need to do.

JUST be very careful. If you get caught burning treated wood(any wood that is not natural tree waste), you can get a big fine. (I do not do that). (well, if no one is looking I may burn that pallet the last game came here on. ssshhh).

IF, around here anyway, they just see a scrap piece of a 2x4 or plywood, etc, you may get a fine of 1000.00 in the mail.

My uncle knows someone that has received one of these fines in the mail.

And another awesome reason I ran wood fence around my yard, so no nosy assholes can see what I do anyway.

It is always one thing or another out to mess up our day anymore.

And 100%, anyone that reads this should read their local codes before doing any outdoor burning.

    #2730 3 years ago

I am so glad that there are several things here we can not talk about.

I see all that everyday in real life on tv, and nice to just chill here.

I do lean a certain way, but at the end of the day the last 50+ years have been 100% fine for me no matter what was going on at the time.

I have never spent a dime on any person running for any office.

My neighbor with different views spends like 40k a year on a person running for office.

We get along great, but I do have to roll my eyes about all that money wasted that could have gone to pins, or your retirement or something.

I confess it blows my mind how so many people spend money on other things and not pins.

And yeah, for a while I wasted money on beer. I was buying the higher dollar ones and even having them in nice restaurants.

And I confess now my knees are saying that I was a dumbass, had I only started having cheap Natty earlier, and stayed away from the nice places, I could be totally retired now with that money saved.

AND actually no, I do not regret going to nice places, but I do confess I wish I had of not went as many times.

When I was younger I used to love cleaning gutters, I mean 70 bucks for less than a hour of work, hell yeah!

NOW I will not even climb a ladder because my knees are messed up from all that. Now I pay someone else to clean the gutters on my rental houses and my house.

And now they are happy and making good money like I used to. It all has came full circle.

I confess I believe in karma. Karma will bite you in the ass.

And I am pretty sure that I have been super awesome for such a long time with no plans to ever be negative again that I should be ok now.

And I confess that I hope that I do not get in trouble for this, but I am so damn tired of ads on tv from both sides that I wish any person, company, or whatever would stop spending all that money on this stuff and instead buy a pin for themselves, or if a company, buy games for their employees or just give them a raise.

MOST pins are a good investment, with ok resell value.

I wish everyone would just invest in pins, or something, instead of spending any money on anything that causes me to have to see the same ads on tv over and over.

And I approve this post, because I hope it is funny to you, and I am not running for anything. (except the bathroom, hot wings did it to me again). (getting old sucks).

    Quoted from snowy_owl:

I confess that I have never once watched a horror movie

I confess that a really good horror movie can give me dreams that later wake me up at night, and I like it!

Everyone thinks I am nuts, but I do like either a scary dream, or a dream about finding lots of money.

(my favorite dreams though are about either I am flying in the sky with birds, or swimming with the fish and I can breath underwater).

Please try to watch something scary, and then go outside in the dark, and that deer in the woods, that is only a deer in the woods will give you a cool rush of being scared.

Some movies if too real can make me sick, but really even a bad movie is better than reality sometimes.

Mac Davis just died, and I confess I still like that song he did "stop and smell the roses".

I confess that when I get to that point on youtube, it has been a big time Natty night!

And I confess after a few too many I want to sing everything myself, and I do youtube karoke.

I am a legend in my own mind after a few.

As far as the Cedar Point haunted houses, my gf at the time though she liked all that, and she ended up peeing herself 12 times that night. I was laughing my ass off.

She was wanting to go to real haunted places, we did go to the Shankshaw prison, and I said hell no, real people in costume you are terrified, and I do not want to go to somewhere real and take a chance of that coming back home with me.

Real stuff terrifies me, fake stuff no.

I already have a ghost here, in my house. I think it is my grand dad. So far 4 people have noticed it.

A rare thing though, like maybe 4 times a year.

But it is protective of me, I love that ghost.

My first known experience with it, it actually hugged me. I turned around thinking a gf had slipped in here and hugged me.

A very nice hug! I turned around and there was no one there.

Made me start thinking about other weird stuff, like things getting moved that I knew I did not move.

I totally seen everything in a new way that day.

My gf at the time came by later that night and I was telling her about all that.

    She just rolled her eyes.

Suddenly my cigarette lighter went flying across the table, I never touched it, no one visible touched it.

Then she said Wow, this explains a lot, I thought I have been going crazy with stuff getting moved around here of mine that I knew there was no way you did that.

Anyway, 99% sure the ghost of my Grand Dad visits me about 4-7 days a year.

He died young and tragic. He was a painter, and while he was on a ladder a car ran into the ladder and he could not be saved. I was 5 at the time.

I also found out later that he big time loved me and my parents, and he was ready to leave Grand Mom, and he wanted to just divorce her and move in with us before the accident.

I can 99% say, he did, as a ghost.

I confess I can sometimes sense where he is, and if I need something I don't need it that bad, I will go back later when I feel that I will not bother the ghost.

The ghost gave me the best hug I have ever had in my life. I was 31 at the time.

I confess once I thought about calling one of those ghost tv shows here, HELL NO!

I am pretty sure this is my Grand Dad, and he is happy, and I am happy!

AND! My bestest ever girlfriend is here right now, and just looked over my shoulder, and said oh, you are writing a book about the ghost.

She knows all about the ghost. Early on the ghost sat next to her on the bed and hugged her! She thought it was me, I was not even on the same floor of the house.

I love the ghost. My worst girlfriend ever it scared her so much she never wanted to come back here.

I confess that this is the most personal story I will ever post here.

And you will never see me on tv, at least not any ghost stuff.

Yeah, I make a lot of late night ramblings on here, but I hope everyone reads this! (except tv show people).

    Quoted from JohnnyPinball007:

AND! My bestest ever girlfriend is here right now, and just looked over my shoulder, and said oh, you are writing a book about the ghost.

And I confess while I was typing that I was afraid she would get ticked that I was talking about ex-girlfriends also on here.

And that time when she had a experience, she was freaked out, but not totally running out the door or anything, but almost in tears because she thought I had sat down next to her, and I was upstairs at the time.

I told her all I know at that point.

I never sensed the ghost that day, only she did.

I have not noticed it much in a while.

I confess that even though it gave me the best hug I have ever had that one time, and later it basically threw a cigarette lighter across the table, I am afraid of it, not that I think it would ever hurt me, but just the overall surprise of something unexpected.

And now the ghost may be back looking over my shoulder, all of a sudden, first time I have sensed it in a while.

The room just got a tad cooler and a odd feel to it.

BOO! (sorry, had to do that), but I am not joking, and this is not Natty talk. The room just did change.

And the first time I ever seen a Ouija board in a horror movie, I thought hell yeah, I need one of those so grand dad can talk to me.

Then after the horror movie was off, I said hell no, no guarantee this is actually my Grand Dad doing this.

Because of what I have felt and seen I 100% believe in ghosts.

I can even sense what room it is in, and I stay away.

But not a everyday thing, it takes it in spells. (no pun intended).

At most 4 days in a year, and all random, and sometimes years go by without a episode.

And I confess a few years ago I had planned to take my girlfriend to Cedar Point for the haunted houses just to see if she would pee herself like the ex did, and I was in a accident, my friend hit me in the chest with a backhoe bucket and I was messed up for a while and we never made it.

And not long after that a chainsaw got me and I had to have a dozen stitches on my knee. lucky me.

I can 100% confess that crap I do for a living is a whole lot more dangerous than this ghost living in my house.

And it drives me nuts that my girlfriend gets nuts because I have everything here in the same place all the time, and if she puts anything in the wrong place I quickly move it back. (yeah, I am a idiot with that).

BUT, one main thing the ghost loves to do is move crap around, so I constantly deal with that. (thank God so far it has never made my car keys too hard to find).

And it was super cool how last night my girlfriend just said "oh, you are writing a book about the ghost", after it had scared the crap out of her that time, but yet she sensed all was fine.

I confess some people not even trying to scare anyone scares me a whole lot more than any ghost or man made haunted house.

And I have never told anyone about the ghost here, unless they felt it, or seen something crazy.

Never a power of suggestion thing for someone to just sense something.

When I was younger I thought I had been in some UFO crazy stuff.

AS I got older and seen and felt and sensed more I realized all that was just a ghost.

Although it freaks me out sometimes with random stuff, it is cool that it is around sometimes. I wish it, and all of you the best!

I confess I still look up how to spell words like schadenfreude and vacuum

Last night I had to look up Ouija.

I was trying to spell it wee-gee, and I knew that was wrong.

And there are 3 people other than me that will confirm there is a ghost here.

I confess that anytime a tv commercial comes on, I hit the mute button in .08 seconds.

    #2757 3 years ago

I confess I have always hated Halloween.

I used to sell candy in school, made awesome money doing that, and Halloween messed up sales for a while.

AND, I was buying the candy wholesale, and selling it for less than retail at the store on the corner near the school, so it was a win-win, I made money and saved all the kids money.

And at my 20 year high school reunion, it was all still cool! People I have not seen in 20 years asked if I had any candy to sell(joking of course). One dude I did not even remember told me he thought it was so cool what I did that he is trying to get his son to do it now.

    #2758 3 years ago

I may or may not confess the following, because I am not sure about statue of limitations.

I may or may not have when I was a teen, driven my 4x4 to a baseball field after it rained, late at night, and did what was known as "trenching".

    It was FUN!

In later years I ran into old friends and they said they always wondered who was tearing up that field the night before their next game.

One time I (may have if I was involved) seen headlights coming and quickly turned the truck off. The lights were always off anyway, and it was a Park Ranger.

Luckily the park ranger did not see me or whoever it was tearing up the baseball fields, and after that close call me or whoever did all that never did it again.

Sorry to anyone that had to play ball on a trashed field.

I confess I am so glad O-din is back!

    Quoted from pacmanretro:

I confess.... this is the image that popped into my head of Johnny selling 'candy' wholesale

A tad, but not really. My hair was a lot better than that, and I was golded out. I wore a one ounce gold coin and several gold chains.

Um, thinking back, I looked like a pimp.

And I confess a few years ago I sold all that gold. Now that I am older no way would I wear that stuff again and make myself a target for robbery.

(and I did good!) All that gold I bought selling candy was worth a lot more when I sold it.

    I confess I have a awesome girlfriend!

(yeah, been spending too much time here so now she is looking over my shoulder thinking I am here talking to women)

Anyway, she loves all games as much or even more than I do.

When I am tired and done with a game a lot of the time she plays by herself for a while to get more practice.

(she still needs a lot more practice), but for a while she was kicking my ass at cornhole. And she does win some at Golden Tee and on a pin(when I have a bad game).

I have read so much here about wives not interested in the games, and I feel sorry for the dudes that deals with that..........unless it is by special plan? Ok, I may get that now in some cases.

    #2764 3 years ago
    Quoted from cait001:

blows me away that there is only a single I in that word

Blows me away that word starts with a O.

In all the horror movies I have ever seen it sounded like they were saying wee-gee board.

But most of those horror films are in the backwoods anyway where their voices sound even more country than mine.

And there were no wee-gee boards in these movies, but this time of year if you want to see some decent, and I think even funny at times horror, watch the Wrong Turn movies, there is at least 3 of them.

Yeah, those movies are pretty sick and brutal, but those backwoods characters in them are kind of funny once you get all of it. They are just trying to survive and they think they are actually normal.

And I confess I love Pinside and everyone here.

Because of the fact we are all probably close to the same age, and we like a whole lot of the same things, it just seems like I have known everyone here my whole life.

And I am so glad O-din is back, damn that 6 months or whatever seemed like 6 years.

And LTG has been posting very entertaining stories in several topics! I wish he would post more Prada pics also!

So very nice that you can come here for help with a issue, or advice about almost anything, or just goof off and try to make someone smile and read all their funny stories also.

I confess I will try to chill out and type less.

And I wish that anyone that makes long posts like I do would space them more like I do. It is just easier on the eyes to read, as I am getting older.

(we are all getting older and it sucks).

    #2765 3 years ago

I confess I would love to write another book here right now, but I was just tapped on the shoulder and told I had 7 minutes to wrap up my songs on you tube, and get in bed.

    Priorities.

And damn after a few Natties I still was able to spell that word.

I wish all of you the best always!

    #2766 3 years ago

I confess that I am so glad my work has slowed down and I have more time to goof off on here.

If a client calls me I will still go get on a excavator or run a chainsaw or whatever.

The jobs pay well, but right now I am caring less and less about money, and just 100% happy with what I have already, and I do not care to be out in the world right now with all the crazy things 2020 has brought us so far.

I do miss not eating out like I used to, and not taking a vacation somewhere this year, but damn not doing that stuff sure saves a lot of money, and makes me want to think about just fully retiring now.

I would love to buy one more rental house, but prices are way too high.

A shame but health care costs worry me more than anything these days.

One more paid for rental house would cover the monthly health insurance premiums.

And I big time wish that property taxes could just go away forever, and be replaced with like a one penny sales tax increase.

Big ass property tax bills all at one time is just totally unfair.

I think a penny increase on sales tax would take care of all that and then some.

Yeah, I also have 3 rental houses, so I get hit extra hard with property taxes.

BUT, even though a tenant does not have to pay these taxes, the rent they pay still has that in it, so everyone pays anyway.

And property taxes around here have tripled in the last 10 years, but I have ate it, I have never went up the first dime on anyone's rent.

If taxes and insurance costs were to go away I could happily retire.

But I have to keep working to pay Cobb County, and State Farm. (and another game here and there, not all bad).

I 100% feel for anyone that is about to have to get up earlier than they want to, and sit in traffic to go to a place that they really do not want to go to.

At least 2020 has helped a lot for some, being able to work from home, while others like myself got to experience a lot lighter traffic for a while when I have had to be up at 5am sometimes to go somewhere.

I hope I do not jinx myself, but I have been so happy that my phone has not rang in 2 weeks. (except telemarketers and scam artists). Nothing that has made me want to get up at 5am.

I am not lazy or anything, but getting older and knee pains and all the other pains, I just like having a few Natties to kill the pain, and get up at the crack of noon, instead of 5am.

Now I have to crack another Natty and visit another topic here.

    Always something.

I confess I am not great at pinball, but I love pinball and will always keep some pins around.

I confess I think I am decent at Golden Tee and Big Buck Hunter because I have already beat 99% of the preset scores on those games.

And I confess I think GT and BBH probably just set their presets easy to beat to sucker people like me in that will never get to a wizard mode on a pin.

Anyway, I really feel for all the people out west dealing with fires and smoke, and the people down south of here about to have to deal with another hurricane.

2020 just keeps on trying to kick us in the nuts.

What's next? A meteor? Flu season?

    (oops, never mind).

BUT, at least there is plenty of toilet paper again, and JJP finally released another awesome pin, and we have a dark mode here now, so at least some things are getting better!

    Stay safe my friends!

My girlfriend drives me nuts with questions I can not answer.

I always thought I was mildly bright and knew a lot, but I have never been around anyone in my entire life that asks questions like she does.

4/5 questions she asks me my answer is I don't know.

I never knew there are so many things in life that I had never done, or even thought about, until she started asking me questions.

AND, I confess this post was 4 pages long, and I deleted all that!

I just have to deal with best chemical for ceiling stain type of questions.

    #2784 3 years ago

I have only about 5 minutes.

Questions today were not too bad.

I mentioned someone that lives up the street I just found out died 2 days after they turned 100.

She asked so, another house coming up for sale.

I said I do not know, that other car has also been parked there for a while, maybe a relative is already living there and going to take over, I DO NOT KNOW.

She said that light colored car, I said I DO NOT KNOW, I have never paid attention to the color of that car.

Anyway, just weird how I can mention anything, and then get hit with detailed questions about the color of some car or something.

And some of those questions do give me a headache from hell, but otherwise my lady is awesome in all other ways, and the best friend I have ever had.

When I first mentioned Big Buck Hunter she said she could not shoot pretty animals.

Now she is cussing and saying that bitch ran out in front of her when she messes up on that game.

    It is very funny!

And she is happy that she just beat me at a round of Golden Tee. (I did not let her win, but I was goofing off with trick shots to try to come back and beat her). (most trick shots I tried did not work out well, but we both had fun).

IF your lady does not want to play pins with you, try other games. (she does still like pins ok).

And I was sad to read that LTG is not doing great. I hope he will start getting paid what he deserves, and around here a good tech gets 125.00 for a house call.

And I confess I am semi retired a tad early myself and frugal, because I was tired of the rat race.

Money helps, but it is not everything. Being happy in the short time you have is what matters to me now.

    #2787 3 years ago
    Quoted from poppapin:

I confess, I read all of Johnny's posts, even the long ones.

Sorry for all these long posts.

    But here I go again!

I had to do that, and the awesome Whitesnake song went through my head.

And I have no clue if my girlfriend is a member here or not, and reading what I post, but damn she took it easy on the questions today.

Or maybe she took it easy because I am not feeling well. (stomach pains). (bad ones).

I actually plan to have chicken noodle soup for lunch in a few hours. I have had problems for over a day now.

I am learning the hard way that Buffalo wings and beer all the time does not work well as we get older, and soon I may have to attempt to eat a fruit or vegetable also.

And usually I would shrug all this off and just drink a bottle of Pepto, in between Nattys, but this is a tad more serious.

And I confess, a bottle of Pepto does mess up the taste buds for the next 4-5 Nattys. (also causes you to lose that nice buzz you were having for a while). And it sucks.

And even though I did give a upvote because I am nice and like to give upvotes, I may have to go back to the Quarantine Cooking Thread, and withdraw the upvote I gave about bacon and Oreos on the grill. I upvoted that because it was just so crazy, but now that I feel like crap that picture is making me feel worse.

And I am 100% joking. I will not take that upvote back.

I did stay in bed most of the day while watching football.

I only played one game and that was Big Buck Hunter for one round of Rams.

My girlfriend played 3 more rounds of Big Buck Hunter, and she was happy, she had a great score on Wildebeest.

100% true I will be having soup, and trying something different soon, I love my lifestyle, but my body is turning against me now. Soon I may have to eat peas and carrots and all that horrible stuff as I get older.

AND, if you have never seen Tom Hanks in the Forest Gump movie, or have not seen it in years, WATCH THAT MOVIE!

I hope I am not as slow as Forest, I very well could be and not even know it.

I love how after the shrimp boat with LT Dan stuff that Dan bought them stock in a fruit company, and suddenly they were worth "gazillions of dollars".

    That movie is awesome!

I had not watched that movie in several years, and I wanted to see it again. (I have the dvd).

My girlfriend was like "oh, I have only seen bits and pieces of that movie and I did not care for it".

2 nights ago(before I became ill), after we were all done playing games and just chilling out with tv I said "we have to end this now".

She was confused at that statement and said "what"?

I said we have to end the fact that I want to watch a awesome movie again that you hate because you have never seen the entire movie.

We are closer now. She big time enjoyed the movie.

    Quoted from Gunnut40:

    Dude don’t delete that shit.

So ok, unedited and not deleted.

I confess I constantly delete a lot of shit to try to make my posts shorter.

And in here I am just trying to entertain.

In real life while not on Pinside yeah, I need to change my diet from Buffalo wings and beer and maybe try some veggies soon, my stomach has not been happy for over a day now.

In real life I do have a rare thing that I am sure I have already talked about: Cat Scratch Disease.

I was 100% worried that when I purchased Big Buck Hunter I would not even be able to see the game looking through a rifle. But at the same time I knew that at least my girlfriend would enjoy it.

I have health problems, some my fault, some by accident.

I can say that before my stomach started acting up again these games have big time helped me! Even my eyes are doing better most of the time.

And damn because I was just so sick all the time when I was a kid and luckily grew out of most of that, I confess that while I love all kinds of crazy stories on here, and seeing pics of dogs, and everything else, I confess that what really touches me is a story on here, or even a local news story, about someone, or some organization putting games in a children's hospital, to help make a kids life better.

(I never wanted kids and never had any), BUT if I ever see a kid in need I will help them the best I can.

And because I do not feel great at the moment it makes me start to think about a new will, that will place my games in children's hospitals if anything were to happen to me.

And yeah, I do have a note on my keyboard that I am having soup for lunch in a few hours.

I wish I could just have been very short and very funny. Sorry to be long again, I hope some of it was funny.

I started this with here I go again song in my head, ending it with life goes on. (Jack and Dianne).

I wish all of you the best always!

And I am sorry for a long post, but while I was typing it, made me forget about my current pain.

    Hope you feel better soon

    Thanks everyone!

This sucks. I have had it before but the pain is a lot worse this time.

A lot of my family has diverticulitis and I think I have that at the moment.

I am about to have some soup and lay down.

I hope all of you are having a awesome day!

    #2793 3 years ago
    Quoted from EJS:

    a doctor appointment

I hope I do not have to get one of those.

I felt like crap all day, I slept half the day and had another long nap during the NFL game.

    It hurts to walk.

This is about as bad as my appendix was years ago.

I behaved all day, soup and all that stuff I never have unless I am sick.

I confess I am having some pain killer now, Natty seemed to take away some of the pain last night so trying it again.

And I was looking at games on here while ago and I am like a kid in a candy store and would love to go crazy.

But I already know how that goes here. Get a new game, and then 800 to 2400 plays later we want something else new and I sell for a loss.

Except I did make a profit on JJPPOTCSE. And that is the only game I miss. That rocking upper playfield was awesome! That is a awesome game all around.

I did enjoy pitch and bat machines big time when I was a kid, and just for more variety I would like to pick up a Slug Fest someday.

I remember when those came out and I was tempted to get one then, but about that same time my Dad went bankrupt, and I was working for him, and storing stuff at his house. (the house I grew up in, I was actually living at the office back then).

Anyway I went on to buy the house from the bank after Dad lost it, and I still lived at the office for a few more years and worked all the time, I am so damn glad I have this house now.

And to not confuse anyone, my uncle was 50-50 with my Dad with the office, shop, and 6 acres on a main highway where they both operated Construction companies out of, and my uncle bought Dads half from the bank.

And that was how I was able to still live at the office for a long time, and now working for myself in a new business after Dad lost everything.

That area was not safe. The union hall across the street was all the time getting broken into, and they love me to this day because 99% of the time I was around and called the cops.

I finally started sleeping at home after one time I was broken into at the office.

I had my gun handy, they ran when I confronted them. (they got my wallet out of my truck, so I have been doing identity crap for years on the credit sites). So far never any problems.

Anyway, the cops said why didn't you just shoot them? I said they ran and I will not shoot anyone in the back. The cops then said well you could have shot them in the back, then rolled them over and shot them in the front and told us you shot them in the front first.

I said you know what, no one got shot tonight, and I am going home now, instead of to a police station answering questions all night.

And so after 10 years of living at the office, even 4 years of that owning the house I grew up in and my parents were still living at, I started living here.

It all worked for the best. Dad went totally blind and was going into diabetic comas or having strokes every time I turned around, and I was here to save him many times. I helped Dad to live another 15 years.

Mom is still here and does not need much help yet, except her short term memory is very bad.

I still have my childhood bedroom upstairs that I crash some.

But I have my own world downstairs, 1800 sq ft, with bed, fireplace, office, games, and I love it.

And back around 2000 I had a commercial metal building built out back that has another 1800 sq ft.

Everything used to be floor to the ceiling with inventory I was buying at auctions and bankruptcy sales when I slowed down with my construction company to be around to help with Dad.

I still have a lot of K-Tel inventory, with the best being the DeFranco Family CD that still sells pretty decent for 79.99 on Amazon.

I love my place and my set up. Nothing fancy, just everything works and clicks to try about any new business I want to try.

Currently I am set up to make chainsaw chain loops for a company, I have all the tools and even a business insurance policy ready to go.

Even if that never happens like I think it will the tools I picked up will pay for themselves the first time I ever need more chains myself.

About the only thing I do not have is a welding machine. I have thought about getting one of those and start making utility trailers to sell also.

In the meantime if you are near me and thinking about putting some games in a mini storage unit and paying monthly fees, let me know what you plan to store, I might can help you save a few bucks.

And as far as games AC/DC was the best and worst at the time here. Best looks, best music, just too many cheap bell drains. It did have the most plays of any game I sold, but that was because so many plays on it did not last long.

Metallica was the funniest, with some of the cussing call outs when you fried Sparky.

Spider Man VE was very fun, the callouts were just too stupid for us, and we kept the sound turned way down.

Right now I am tempted about a NIB Jurassic Park prem, and or a Hot Wheels, but I just plan to stay chilled out and save money for emergencies and maybe pick up a Slug Fest just for something different I enjoyed years ago.

And in my opinion best bang for the buck is a Golden Tee Home Edition or a Big Buck Hunter Reloaded, AFTER you are happy with your pin collection and wanting to add variety to your game room.

Anyway, if you are local, and moving or something and need to store a Jurassic Park prem, or a Hot Wheels, or a Slug Fest, I can for sure give you a good deal on storage fees.

And if you are local and needing to store a RV or camper, I may can help with that also.

But no boats, I am already storing one of those.

And for anyone here that can not afford a pin, a ping pong table and corn hole game also gets used a lot, and they do not cost much.

Life is very short, have all the fun that you can afford while you are alive!

I personally know a lot of wealthy people that never does anything for fun. Their idea of fun is going to yard sales or flea markets looking for more crap they will never use.

For example my uncle. A while back my aunt said if he brings one more damn candle in this house I am going to kill him.

They are very wealthy. They never go anywhere(even before all this current mess), and they never do anything.

Once, like 30 years ago they went to the beach. When they arrived it was raining. They just turned around and drove back home the same day.

They can afford to go anywhere and they have hardly ever went anywhere.

I am so glad that for a while I got hooked on rollercoasters and amusement parks and have made trips as far north as Buffalo NY, and trips west as far as Vallejo CA, and trips as far east as Jackson NJ, and trips as far south as Tampa FL.

All road trips, and I got to see so much of this awesome country we live in, and meet so many awesome people!

And I confess: stay away from all the rides at Six Flags St. Louis, they are the worst anywhere as far as being rough and hurting your head.

And while southern charm is a real thing and I am like that 95% of the time if you ever meet me, well, do not plan to visit my Six Flags 5 miles from here and expect that.

Out of all the amusement parks I have ever traveled to, the one 5 miles away is the worst for people line jumping, and just being rude.

I confess I was afraid to visit the Chicago park, and it turned out a lot more tame than my local park, and was a good time.

I have been to most all parks, and hands down Cedar Point is the best!

Carowinds and Kings Island and the Busch parks are a close 2nd though, along with Dollywood and Silver Dollar City in its own way.

Last year I retired from rollercoasters and amusement parks, with a final trip to Cedar Point.

IF: someday I were to even want to go to a amusement park again, I would not even bother with the one 5 miles away that I even had a dining pass at forever, but I would for sure go to Cedar Point again.

AND: if I do make it up to MN to hang out with Lloyd and rub Prada's belly, I do plan to include another trip to Silver Dollar City, while not too far out of the way anyway.

AND, I am not rich. I have never been, or care to be. (yeah, I do spend 2 bucks a week on a lottery ticket just for cheap entertainment), but I have mostly always been happy!

My wealthy uncle buys lottery tickets all the time, and I am like WTF! You have 1000 times more money than you can ever spend, and you are wasting money trying for more instead of actually enjoying what you have already?

And I bring my uncle up not because of his wealth, but the fact he never goes anywhere or does anything, and that trip to CA that time he called me and said what in the hell are you doing out there, and I just said having a good time like you should be doing yourself.

I am in pain, opposite side from where my appendix used to be years ago, not even sure what is there.

I hope I can keep writing books here, and enjoying all the funny stories and dog pics you guys share.

I hope I can make a road trip to MN soon.

(asking for a friend, while Pinside is awesome with talking about games and stuff, does anyone know a site where the doctors hang out and I can goof off and mention a pain and they just say oh, all you need is this and this and you will be fine).

Pinside is awesome with issues with games, I wish some doctors could start a tread here, or another site even, to help with keeping us fixed also.

I wish all of you the best always!

    Quoted from mtn-:

    Johnny uses a proper computer

A computer and type with 2 fingers. I don't own a smartphone, yet.

And I will be having soup again today. Girlfriend is bugging me to go to a doctor, I do not want to.

    #2798 3 years ago

I know my neighbor has not been feeling well, so I sent him a email instead of calling, in case he was sleeping.

He emailed 12 hours later that he has the flu stuff.

I called my uncle while ago, and when I told him the problems I am having and I am sick, he said you need to get to a doc asap and get some medicine.

I emailed my neighbor back, said sorry you are not doing well, I am not either at the moment, I may have to go to a doc myself, he replied back I caught this crap at a doc office.

So here I am. Sitting here in a lot of pain. (although I am drinking some pain killer now).

My girlfriend and family is saying go to a doctor, I need anti-biotics.

My friend up the street is saying screw that, you may catch something worse like he has.

What to do, what to do?

My uncle did have great advice, said this diverticulitis stuff can totally shut you down and put you in the hospital, or kill you, get antibiotics asap.

So anyway, I stuck with soup and Natty the last 2 days, along with a whole lot of naps, and I think I am finally turning the corner for the good.

And by turning the corner I mean being able to pass a little gas again, without risking a messy situation.

Sorry to be gross or full of drama or any of that stuff.

Fact is we are all getting older, and someday something is going to kill our ass(and the rest of us).

Because I was able to work from home and watch Dad I helped him live another 15 years.

Out of those 15 years, maybe 12 was still pretty good for him, while 3 he just suffered a lot more.

But even the times he suffered, he still always had hope he could be fine again, he never once lost hope.

Even after being blind for 2 decades and a whole lot of health issues. Dad was very tough.

    Tougher than I am.

A few years ago I was so sick, and dehydrated that my whole body was just cramping up and painful and I could not even just sleep for a while like I wanted to so bad I almost chose a easier way.

I am glad I stuck it out and have a awesome girlfriend now, and awesome games for us to enjoy.

To help with real life stuff as we get older, and not be as shocked when it happens, watch Faces Of Death movies if you can. They are real, out there, sick, but real life stuff.

That first time I ever found my Dad dead, he was drooling, cold, lifeless, shirt soaked in sweat, and just opening his mouth, pouring sugar down his throat until paramedics arrived, he lived another 15 years. And most of those years he had a good life even though he had been blind for a while.

I went on to help save Dads life around 4-5 times through the years. His blood sugar levels was always all over the place and he kept having strokes and he also suffered inner ear problems.

I would rather just kill over now, than to suffer like he did.

So anyway I am taking care of Mom now. So far she is doing ok, but she asks the same questions every 5 minutes, and she can barely walk some days, and some days she gets along fine.

    Getting old sucks!

Dad never had to go to a nursing home, we took care of him and he was able to stay here until the last couple of days, when he was in a coma.

So, taking care of Mom now, so far not much help needed, and I have a awesome girlfriend now that will help, while I am also ready to help her with her Mom.

And just being as sick as I have been the last few days reminds me that while I never wanted any kids and never had any, there will be no one to help me as I get older. (maybe girlfriend will?)

Anyway I confess this is my favorite time of year, plenty of horror movies on tv, and I just watched 2 I had never seen before on the Sci Fi channel.

And a few weeks ago, another freak accident thing unrelated to my current stomach thing feels like it is still there sometimes.

I am sure i have posted this before, but a a freak chainsaw accident thing cutting a pine tree has a piece of pine bark in my lungs or something it still feels like.

It is always something. And someday something is going to kill my ass.

I do not know what happened, but I just heard a old lady up the road died 2 days after she had just turned 100. And I seen her still driving her car right before that.

I wish her the best, and I hope I can make it to 100 myself, and still be driving like she did.

(and random I know), but I hope we can get some snow here for like 3 days this winter, and I actually get to enjoy it instead of being stuck in it somewhere and having to drive for 12 hours in traffic to go 20 miles.

And while ago I seen 2 games I would like to have on craigslist, almost sent a reply, but I looked around and said yeah, no room for them, and I doubt they would get played much anyway because we already have more awesome games here already, that never even get played anymore.

That little spark, seeing some games I would like to have, helped me feel better for a moment.

And now I feel like crap again.

I wish all of you the best!

    Quoted from swampfire:

to church with us (back when we were doing that)

Ok, so Whitesnake Here I Go Again is playing full blast in me head!

Church was boring. I confess I snuck out 95% of the time to the corner store 200 feet away and played Frogger and Donkey Kong back then. (no pins there to play).

I got away with it, because it was a very big church, and I could sit way away with some friends, and go to the rest room, a very long rest room trip.

I never missed any time in Sunday School though, I liked everyone there and it was not boring.

But, as we got older we were supposed to move up, and none of us wanted to.

Then one time our Sunday School grown up person (teacher) was out sick, and we had to move to another class that none of us wanted to be in.

In that class that day me and the oldest ones were 16, and the youngest ones were 10?

Anyway, this grown up person (teacher) was a ass, and we all knew it, and why we never moved up after turning 16.

Anyway, that day a 10 year old just whispered something to a friend, and that grown up (teacher) went nuts, I am going to go drag your Moms out of their class and tell them you were talking in my class.

F-that. That was the last time I ever went.

All my years in public school I had never seen a grown up (teacher) act like such a dick.

And back then I did think everything was cool and all these people were there donating their time.

Nope, I seen a bulletin talking about finances, and the lady on the piano, and the lady on the organ were getting paid like 30k a year, and 30k a year was pretty good back then for a part time gig.

I do wish all of those people the best, I have no ill feelings or anything, it was just time for me to move on.

Anyway, behind the church, a short walk for me and other kids around here back then, there was a basketball goal/post, whatever you call it.

We would go there a lot and play HORSE or whatever I can not even remember now.

And we would run water out of the water spicket on the side of the building to drink water when we were thirsty.

One time a old crippled man that seen all that asked if we felt it was ok to drink the water from the church like that.

I said hell yeah, it is holy water.

That old man just laughed like he probably had not in years.

Around that time I was like Opie Taylor and likeable, like 7 years old.

That old crippled man was cool. He was nosy, and would just ask you all kinds of stuff.

He was not a pervert or predator or any of that. He was just crippled (legs in the steel stuff, missing a arm from a car wreck), but he was a awesome dude.

He was born with polio or something and that was why his legs had the steel stuff, and he was missing a arm because once he had been side swiped while driving his car with his arm out on the door.

That dude loved sugar daddies (the candy). Anyone that would talk to him on his front porch he would feed that candy all day long.

Anyway, Mom was friends with him and his wife, and all was cool. (they were just nosy people).

I was into coin collecting at a early age, and it turned out he had worked for a store for a while and he saved all the silver dollars and everything else cool he had saved, and when I was around 12 he sold me all that.

I will never forget that day, and my Mom was visiting also, and this old crippled guy gave me a awesome deal on the stuff he had saved forever.

I guess because he was nosy, he knew I liked coins and I would not just go spend them for face value like his grown up kids would have done had he died and they inherited the collection.

And my Mom told me several times through the years, Mr. Hulsey was always so impressed with me.

He said many times I have never seen a kid work so hard when they did not have to.

He seen me at my house splitting firewood and stacking it, back when we kept a fire going in the winter.

If there was any work to be done, I was always working while the other kids were playing.

And back then my hobby was picking up money back bottles. Back then that paid 5 cents a bottle.

(I picked up enough bottles to get a pretty good rare coin collection going back then).

(I did blow a little of the bottle money also on a few comic books, some RC Cola, and Choc-O-Lunch crackers back then also).

It was cool back in my 20's I ran into a Lance employee, and for a long time I was able to get those awesome crackers for wholesale for a long time.

I confess that yes I can have some Oreos, and they are ok, but those Lance Choc-O-Lunch are the best ever!

And a box of Cracker Jacks is a hell of a lot better than a box of Crunch And Munch, and not only because they have a prize in them.

And yeah, I confess, as a young kid, I did suffer through a few boxes of breakfast cereal that sucked, because whatever bullshit prize was in the box I begged Mom to buy that crap.

And back to the old crippled man. Mr. Hulsey.

30 years ago? His daughter talked them into moving in with her and selling their place on my street.

My Mom still talked to them on the phone, and best I remember that daughter just took every penny out of their house and anything she could get her hands on, and basically had her parents living in a tiny closet in the basement. Her name was Gina.

And names may or may not be real, but as old as I am and them being older, they would never know anyway I posted this.

I never once met Gina, but 30 years ago my Mom talked about how evil she was, and did her parents wrong.

Oh, and with Halloween coming up, no way in hell would anyone trick or treat at that house, that old crippled man would just keep on talking, and waste your whole night.

I miss that old man, I am glad I spent as much time with him as I did when I was a kid.

Shit, I just remembered that his wife worked for Nabisco, and from her work they also gave us lots of good snack foods, but at the moment it slips my mind what they were.

Anyway, thanks LTG for the stories the last few days when I was in bad shape!

    And thanks to everyone!

I am 90% great now! I am almost done with this health mess I was dealing with.

It has been over 24 hours without any bs soup that I really did not want to eat but I had to, BUT, I did miss the excuse of taking naps the last 24 hours.

(and next week my main customer that I do work for has a project I do not want to mess with...and I confess...that even though I am better...I am a good man...I never lie...I plan to lie and pretend to still be sick because sometimes life is just too damn short to deal with some things when you really do not want to, and just want to be left alone a tad longer).

And I was just going to tell the dude that I quit, and my girlfriend is pretty wise and said no, just tell him that you are not interested in this project, but do not just quit.

    She is pretty good.

She kicks my ass at cornhole sometimes, and Golden Tee sometimes, and on a pin sometimes, but so far I am winning Big Buck Hunter every game.

And I am part blind in my shooting eye.

    Quoted from swampfire:

    “‘Cause I’m not gonna die!”

And that totally sounded like me when I was a kid. Awesome memories!

    THANKS!

I wish all of you the BEST!

    Quoted from snowy_owl:

I consciously have not put much personal information on this site (name, location etc.)

I 100% agree with you, can not be too careful these days.

I confess my last name is not Pinball.

And in general, I am ok with giving some info out.

BUT, if I am ever asked what planet I came from before I settled here on Earth, I will lie every time.

    #2810 3 years ago
    Quoted from EJS:

Next thing your going to tell us is your not a 00?

I thought I had already talked about all that.

In school I was the candy man.

The last few years I am in friends phones listed as Johnny Firewood.

I wanted to be Johnny Pinball, but that was taken, so I tried Johnny Pinball 2, nope, but Johnny Pinball 007 went through, while I was just goofing off.

When I joined here I had already been here for 2 years reading top 100 comments to help me decide what games I wanted to get back into owning.

I confess, I joined here in the first place in case I may want to sell a game down the road.

    That all worked awesome!

In the meantime I am happy with all the games here now, and although I sold like 5 earlier this year I think I will not be selling anything else.

While watching NFL games also while ago we only played one game, Big Buck Hunter arcade, and we played it for 2 hours.

I have not used a rifle in 30 years, and my girlfriend has never shot a gun, and this game is just so awesome and different that we are hooked on it.

Sunday night I did not play anything, I watched NFL and season finale of Wicked Tuna, while my girlfriend played Big Buck hunts.

I forgot, later we did play round of Golden Tee, and the first time I messed up I said hell, I am just going to practice trick shots, I don't care if I lose.

And I did lose, the 2nd time in a row, and got accused of letting her win.

I can not lose, because if I do lose I get accused that I just let her win.

I am not complaining, this is a good thing, she loves all the games, and because I win most of the time, she actually thinks I let her win when she does win.

I tell her for the 1000th time, I have never let anyone win, beat me, you won fair and square.

Any game I mess up in I cuss, when I mess up.

I am not a sore loser, I will brag about look at how awesome you did, and you have the top score now when I lose.

And it is so funny, while I do tend to cuss a lot anyway, my girlfriend rarely does, but Big Buck Hunter makes her cuss a lot, with the does or cows running in front of what she is trying to shoot.

I enjoy all the games here, but she just mainly wants to play Big Buck Hunter anymore, and that is fine with me, it is a awesome game.

And while ago things went awesome! A customer that I do a lot of work for I knew would be calling about a job I have no intentions of messing with, called me at a awesome time so I would not have to lie.

A week ago I was sick, I am not 100% now, but a lot better!

So when my phone rang, and he said what are you doing, I said I am in the bathroom again. He said, oh, you are not well yet, I said no. He said call me if you get to feeling better.

In the meantime I am not 100%, but I was only in the bathroom at the time of that call because I was trying to help my sink to drain better.

I confess that I have been uncomfortable all week about having to lie to avoid a job I do not want to mess with, and I did not even have to lie when the phone rang.

I did not go into detail and tell the whole truth, but at the same time I did not lie.

Life is short, I am way too tired of bs, and older and wiser now so I can stay away from bs.

And other than the fact I am making excuses to stay up later for one more beer, and not put up with any crap I do not want to put up with, everything else has been boring. No ghost or anything around lately.

I hope to never encounter the ghost again. I hope it is always happy somewhere.

And it is so cool how it approved of my girlfriend, while before that running a bad girlfriend out of here.

I confess I never knew what the ghost did that ran the bad girlfriend away, and I never even asked.

And I do wonder a tad, what happened, but not enough to ever try to talk to her again to get her story.

The ghost here is awesome! IF, you are awesome.

(and I have no clue what made me think of ghost stuff in the first place).

And I confess I really hope LTG will tell another funny story soon!

    Quoted from LTG:

So everyday I was gone by about 11am.

Thanks LTG! You always have awesome stories!

I was lucky, I was in the work program and got out at 11 and got credit for it. (and I faked the paperwork and was working for myself).

And it is so funny, we have been playing so much Big Buck Hunter, and right now we are playing Golden Tee, and every animal I see on the golf course I am looking for the gun.

It would be so cool if they could combine these 2 games and you could hunt animals for extra points while playing golf.

    I miss school.

I have never missed school. I have nightmares that I am still in school. I hated school!

I never skipped, I was there every single day for 12 years, and a little college after that.

I wish I could have just dropped out after the 8th grade and worked and saved.

My savings account was making 10% at the time, I wish I could have worked and padded that more.

I just wanted to get out and make money. To me school was just wasting my time.

Damn I love your stories! Reminds me of stuff from my past also.

Time for a Prada pic! (any good pet stories)?

    You Rock!

I confess that while I love a awesome movie as much as anyone, I do not have time for a movie that ends up not being awesome, and I read the wiki plot a lot of the time, to see if the movie is worth my time.

Sorry to be so short, I am trying to behave tonight.

And thanks again LTG, you always have awesome stories! Please keep sharing!

I confess that my hand is getting sore trying to catch up on giving thumbs up on here.

    I missed you guys!

Anyway, my girlfriend has a jacked up keyboard and mouse that I can barely use. It took 30 minutes just to respond to Eric the other day.

Thanks Eric for posting for me!

Anyway, I just while ago got internet back. Not sure if I would have got tv back also because I took the tv boxes back last Saturday and cancelled. I am going to try dish now. Gets old trees knocking down lines and they are so damn slow to fix anything.

I am also working out of town 3 days a week, and all I have is a flip phone, so I will still be spotty for a couple of weeks.

Yeah, I know, I need a smart phone so I can stay on here, I just prefer typing on my full size computer keyboard.

Anyway, it is a mess around here. I have damage at one rental house and it is taking forever to get estimates so that I can start all the insurance stuff for repairs.

But luckily I do not know of any injuries.

Oh, and yes I was sick, and have since changed my diet, and I am doing fine now.

I just got back on and went straight here. Has Colsand been back on yet?

And just popping Natty #3 at the moment.

    #2868 3 years ago

I confess that I am very sad now.

While ago I was happy to finally have internet again and be able to be here on my computer, and then I found out about Terry (Who-Dey).

I was glad to see Colsand has made more posts after he was gone for a while, but man, I can not get over Who-Dey is now gone forever.

Terry was 55, about to retire in 2 months, and I thought from chats with him soon he would show up here at my house and try some games he was interested in buying NIB after retirement.

Anyway, I can whine about no power for 3 days and can not even leave my street because of downed trees and power lines, and 10-12 days later finally get internet back but still landline phone lines are down.

But I will take the downed trees any day of the week over all the wildfires out west. I feel for you guys, fires are the worst.

And the state of Louisiana was hit what 7 times or something this year with storms? I feel for you.

In the meantime I have a friend I do a lot of work for begged me into helping him at Fort Benning, while trying to also get a rental house repaired from a tree that hit it, and just nuts how repair people I have used for years are so busy I can not get any estimates for insurance, much less get this rental house even worked on.

Zeta did a whole lot of damage in my area.

My tenants were getting nasty with me because I had not been to their house to see the damage. I said look, ride down my street, and you will see why, I have trees and power lines down along with caution tape that says "fire line, do not cross".

Anyway, when those Natties started to get warm, I told my girlfriend I am about to cut my way out of here to get ice.

She called the power company and even though we were not scheduled to get power back for a few more days, they showed up pretty quick (3 days), after she told them I was about to take matters in my own hands.

I was up at 5am, started cutting on a tree on power lines at dawn. It was obvious because of my girlfriends calls they sent a spy, and the minute I fired up my chainsaw all of a sudden a lot of power people showed up ready to work.

(and we had already been promised power back over night Thursday, and then it went to Sunday, and I made power happen Saturday).

If this ever happens to you, if you just say that you will have the road back open by a certain time if they do not, they will get to you faster.

Good luck with the cable company and phone company though, they do not give a crap.

Luckily my neighbor up the street had a generator powering his freezer and he had room for my stuff, so I only lost some fridge food that went bad.

But the main 2 things from all this was no lives lost, and no Natties got too hot.

I only have minor damage at my house, not enough to do a insurance claim(just a hole in a roof where I park the boat), but man it is so frustrating trying to get anything done at the rental house that has a lot of damage, while also having to work out of town some to help a friend that is stuck with that and has to have me.

I wish all of you the best! I missed you guys!

I was amazed to read the last 46 posts here before everything went to hell and see I was mentioned so much.

I travel a lot and no matter where I am I like to sit outside and drink some beer. With no power for a few days my girlfriend went nuts, but I just sat outside after dark having a beer and looking up at the stars.

It was mostly ok until lack of power made beer warm, then hell no, cutting this stuff blocking me from needed ice and power lines on the street are hopefully not live.

And kind of funny, when the power company shows up with a tree removal crew, they will not let them touch anything, but they never tried to stop me from cutting my way out of here for ice, and to check on the rental house.

Anyway, I was totally shocked and saddened to hear about Terry (Who-Dey), when I was able to get back on here while ago.

I think it would be cool if Robin could start something like a Hall Of Fame, or In Memory Of something, to celebrate forever the awesome members here as we all get older, so the next generation can maybe grow some balls.

Yeah, I read some stuff that my long posts were missed.

The way crap is going these days when I am gone about the longest post will read like 3 letters: OMG, LOL, or whatever.

And I confess that if I had to post with a smart phone, my posts would be a hell of a lot shorter.

My nice keyboard and mouse I enjoy goofing off and typing what is on my mind.

My girlfriend has jacked up crap I can not use, so I waited to post again until I got internet back.

And the last 10 days or so it was always f the cable company, not coming here and repairing lines.

And now it is still f the cable company, but THANKS for getting me back online at the moment, but in the future I will be trying to go to something else, too many trees around here just tear down lines too often and takes you way too damn long to fix.

And great, on like Natty 12 now, and in 6 hours I have to deal with the dish people installing stuff. (get Showtime for 10 months free though). (if any of that stuff is even worth watching anymore).

Anyway, I have missed being here, I missed all of you guys, and it sucks that we will never read another Who-Dey post again. Terry was out there at times, but he was a awesome dude, and a big time animal lover, awesome for rescuing dogs.

None of us are getting any younger, make every minute you are alive count.

    Quoted from RyanStl:

Johnny, sounds like you need to run to Best Buy for your girlfriend's sake and get a new keyboard and mouse.

She likes that crap, although she did admit that it took her a while to get used to it.

(supposed to be easier on the wrists).

MY keyboard is flat, my mouse is small.

HER keyboard is raised like a pyramid, with a split down the middle, and a wide gap in the middle of it.

(that could almost sound adult, but I swear I am not being funny, she has the weirdest keyboard I have ever seen in my life).

HER mouse is big and round as a apple, with click buttons all close together on the ride side of it. The only stupid button that is actually on the left side that as a habit I kept hitting just kept bringing up all these weird windows that had no easy x to close them back and get them the hell out of the way.

SHE is awesome! But I have no clue why she thought that crap was worth buying in the first place.

And she likewise hates my keyboard, complains the buttons stick. (and she knows why...yeah, I am a responsible beer drinker, I never ever drink and drive or anything like that, HELL NO).

But I do sometimes spill a Natty on my keyboard, and to me it just makes the keyboard feel new again and tight, while she views that as sticky.

It is a damn good thing that we have all these cool games to enjoy together, because if all we had to do to have fun was using each others computers, we may not last long.

I hate her keyboard and mouse, and likewise she hates mine.

She loves all the games I get though, she would keep playing the newest pin a hour after my wrists were too sore to keep going.

Then when I got a Golden Tee if I did not play 3 rounds she was disappointed.

Now with Big Buck Hunter Reloaded, about 3 rounds is all I can handle, it is very intense and AWESOME to try to get a new high score, and after I stop playing, she is so hooked that she keeps playing until her hands hurt so bad that she has to stop and put a bag of ice on them.

We are all very different, while at the same time pretty much everyone here also has a lot in common. I love Pinside!

    I missed all of YOU!

My area is just bad for trees down and losing power and anything else anytime a storm comes through, and being on a dead end street I am the last to get all services back.

I do love my space here though, and I think several members here that met me buying games here also liked my little bit of country close to the city also.

So now I have satellite TV, and if I can get satellite internet (if that is a thing), I will look into that soon, because way too many trees on this street just ready to wreck my world again.

And while ago I broke the news about Terry to my girl, and she could not believe it either. I choked while reading her the info. Amazing how your throat can act when you are sad.

She does not read any of this that I know of, but I tell her all the time what is going on here with all you guys that I have never even met but feel like I have known forever. and she has been awesome and pays attention.

Sometimes she gets mad that I spend so much time here, but after I remind her that the awesome new game we have here that she enjoys so much would have never happened had I not been on Pinside reading comments about games.

And I know we all get kind of labeled here, just human nature. I am sure I am labeled for long posts, while some are labeled as Stern or JJP fan boys.

Label me any day of the week for Big Buck Hunter Reloaded, and Golden Tee. Just awesome variety to have also with your pins. I am a fan boy of those.

    Quoted from Gunnut40:

I’m going to see my uncle next week and hopefully Johnny.

I would love to meet you, and all of you!

On the other hand my girl is freaky about virus stuff and I have to keep her happy because SHE is AWESOME!

(but she is never here from 2pm to 6pm anyway), I am very easy to find, not far from Six Flags Over Georgia.

In the meantime after no power and internet for so long I am still trying to catch up on everything here, and I have noticed that LTG has not made a long post lately. And even in Dogs Rule that I am up to date with I did not see any Prada pics.

LTG, please share another funny story, you are AWESOME!

    Quoted from RyanStl:

you can be honest to why the keyboard is sticky.

beer. Sorry that I could not be funny with that. sshhh.

    #2909 3 years ago

I confess I do still post a little, just did a long one in the know you are old, but just not in a mood to post here much and try to be funny like I used to yet.

I am still in shock about Terry, (Who-Dey).

I missed O-din when he was in time out, I wish Who-Dey was only in time out also.

I can not think of anything funny right now, hopefully LTG has another awesome story to share?

And I wish all of you the best always! And I hope all of you have a awesome and safe Holiday Season!

    #2916 3 years ago

I am still all over the place in my head, and stuff I am dealing with.

Amazing how slow the recovery from this Zeta storm has been here.

I just ordered a gas stove for the man cave, 2 reasons:

    1. the next time I lose power I will still be able to use the gas to cook.

    2. my knees are so shot now it is hard to go upstairs anymore to cook on the electric unit.

I was thinking about getting my old generator fixed, or buying a new one, BUT, I just remembered that I already know how to get power back fast: (I just learned this the hard way)

If you have a chainsaw, and know how to use it, and a tree falls over your power lines, just call the power company and tell them "yeah, a tree is down across my street, and knocked down your lines, I am going to go ahead and cut it so I can get ice for my beer, and it will help you to get your trucks in here easier when you have time to fix the lines".

THE POWER COMPANY DOES NOT WANT TO HEAR THAT!

They do not want you to take any work away from them!

I WAS ONLY supposed to be without power for 12 hours.

That did not happen, the time changed to 5 days.

After my girlfriend tipped them off that I was ready to clear the road myself, they had a spy sitting there, that immediately left and then a whole lot of trucks showed up at the crack of dawn the 3rd day.

Now that I know how they are, I will never lose power that long again.

By the way, HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!

This is 11/26/20, still no AT&T service here since the storm hit 10/28/20. (that service is being cancelled, they lie every week and claim it will be back in 3 days).

While ago a boom truck did show up, and I thought COOL! Finally AT&T is going to fix the lines!

Nope, it was whatever company that installs street lights putting a new street light on the new power pole.

Anyway except for the utility companies bullcrap I was lucky at my house.

BUT one of my rental houses was hit hard.

The insurance company added more stress on me wanting me to do everything "virtual", while I had no power or internet to do a damn thing.

Anyway, the insurance stuff is all done now, and just waiting on one more contractor to make repairs, and that turned out ok, after I finally had internet again.

At first the insurance company was a major stress, then it went well with the fact that they do direct deposit to my bank.

And I confess that it is nice to have a good relationship with your repair guys, they helped a whole lot in all this mess.

Anyway, with all this mess I am dealing with already, a friend I do a lot of work for(operating a excavator, or working the ditch for a pipeline) begged me to help him with a out of town job on a military base, that the pipe to be installed was 16 feet deep.

I get back home from that, my damn fridge has done went out and my beer was hot and I was pissed.

AND, the new fridge came while ago, and beer is still too warm for me, AND I AM NOT HAPPY RIGHT NOW!

Anyway I will be glad when I can just goof off here again and be funny.

I hope LTG has another funny story!

    2020 continues to suck.

A week ago my next door neighbor and best friend Dwayne texted me that AT&T did not show up again as they had said. This has been going on for a month. (I was working out of town at the time).

So last Monday I was getting up leaves and burning them for the next door neighbor on the other side of the street, when here comes the damn fire department.

They stopped at Dwayne's house along with a ambulance.

A few minutes later they came over to me and said I had to put out the fire. I said why, is it too windy, they said no, it is too big and smoking too much.

I argued with those assholes for 20 minutes before they left, and I continued to burn.

Anyway, I thought I kept seeing Dwayne on his driveway(we are next door neighbors, but 1/8 of a mile away with a lake in between), but it turned out to be Dwayne's brother Eric. I had not seen Eric in years, and now he looks like Dwayne.

Anyway, Dwayne has been sick all year, he was being treated for the virus even though he kept testing negative. He has not been able to keep food down in a long time, says he has not been able to sleep in a long time, and it hurt to breathe.

He is self employed, and still was working a little.

Anyway, after Dwayne did not answer the phone Monday, or call his brother back, his brother came to check on him. He was found to be in bad shape, thus the ambulance and asshole fireman.

When I sat down for lunch today Eric called me, he had just talked to the doctor at the hospital.

Dwayne is not in good shape at all, he makes sounds but can not talk, and they have found that he has stage 4 pancreatic cancer. They are talking hospice.

Dwayne is 62 or 63, big and tall, always active. Hell, he did the Peachtree Road Race not too many years ago.

I just one week it has went from a text from Dwayne saying f'n AT&T lied again, to a call from his brother with this horrible news.

Damn I hope there is some way Dwayne can beat this. If anything happens to him not only do I lose a best friend, I also lose tons of help. He is in all kinds of stuff, as far as his real estate stuff he sold me all 3 of my rental houses, and found me awesome tenants for all of them. I have the same model jacuzzi that he used to have, and when a pump would go out he would have it fixed in 20 minutes and I would buy dinner.

My girlfriend is very torn up. Recently Dwayne had helped her to get rid of a nightmare house that she was still making payments on and thought she would be stuck with forever.

    Quoted from EJS:

Hopefully we’ll all be here to wish everyone well next year.

    AMEN to that!

The last favor Dwayne helped me with was bringing his hand trucks down here to help me get the Big Buck Hunter arcade in. Recently I had cut up a tree that fell in his yard and got it out of the way, and I bought his dinner and dropped it off a couple weeks ago.

Dwayne said he wanted to play Big Buck, but had never felt like coming over.

    Quoted from LTG:

The first 6 got real silverware, Lennox Autumn pattern china, antique crystal goblets. After that you got every day dishes and glasses. I had plenty of food on hand and frozen turkey roasts to keep food going if needed.

For years Dwayne threw a big Thanksgiving cookout. I only went 2 times, because so many people showed up, and I did not know any of them. I have always been a bit of a hermit. Some people would say oh, Dwayne has been my plumber for 30 years, some would say oh, Dwayne has been my electrician for 30 years, and some would say oh, Dwayne has been my heating and air guy for 30 years.

Anyway, sorry for the long rant, 2020 just continues to suck.

I hope all of you had a AWESOME THANKSGIVING!

And I confess that I really hope very soon I can just come here and be funny(or try to be funny) again soon.

    #2928 3 years ago
    Quoted from JohnnyPinball007:

Dwayne is not in good shape at all

He passed Sunday night, 2020 sucks.

I wish all of you the best!

    #2936 3 years ago
    Quoted from punkin:

Confess that i haven't turned the television on in over 5 months.

Confess that I am watching Gold Rush on tv right now.

Tomorrow we will watch the Alabama game, and that is about it for the next 26 hours.

    #2939 3 years ago

I confess that I really miss goofing off and writing books here, and I hope soon things will get better and I can do that again.

    I am fine.

I lost my best friend a week ago. (my best friend, my next door neighbor, my real estate agent, my handyman, and I was looking to retire from crap that I do, and work for him more also with the backhoe he had recently purchased to expand his business).

Still waiting on storm damage to be fixed at a rental house.

Still waiting on AT&T to restore service here.

Girlfriend loses or misplaces stuff all the time, spent 2 hours while ago trying to help find the ring I bought her a year ago.

Hopefully LTG has another good story?

I wish all of you the BEST!

    #2946 3 years ago

I confess that I wish a established pinball machine manufacture would make a pitch and bat game, and keep it simple like they were back in the day, and it be low cost.

I loved those when I was a kid, and I would love to have a NIB one for some more variety now.

I see some for sale here sometimes, but they are old, and I am not sure if parts are available, and I am not good at all on working on games anyway.

And I wish I could have a few more Natties and make a long post, but I have to be up at 4am to help a friend do some work out of town.

    #2950 3 years ago

I confess that after 2 days of getting up super early to help a friend do a out of town job anything that can make noise is turned off so I can get some sleep shortly.

(and the man cave has a bed, no outside noise, not even a siren in front of my house will wake my ass up).

I love sleeping in the man cave, my girlfriend prefers the master, I win tonight!

    Viagra makes my wrists hurt.

My best friend that just passed had a hat that said that. I had never seen it until looking at the DVD that was made about his life.

It is cool that after you pass technology is so good that these tributes can be made.

I miss my best friend Dwayne.

    I miss Who-Dey.

    2020 just keeps sucking.

Hopefully LTG can liven the forum with another awesome story!

    #2970 3 years ago

    2 days?

2 damn days and not a single post here!

I confess I would have liked to goof off here, but this time of year I am always busy, and working out of town some did not help, and my general mood from having friends pass away has sucked.

I confess I would like to play some pinball! BUT, since I got the Big Buck Hunter, that is all my girlfriend wants to play, and she will play it for 2 hours by herself if I am to tired/sore to join.

I confess that is a good thing, let her entertain herself with BBH while I get some rest.

Anyway, I am still too tired to even try to be funny right now, but I hope that changes in the next few days.

Maybe LTG can post another funny story?

    #2976 3 years ago
    Quoted from LTG:

    Pee on trees.

90% of the work I do is outdoors, and secluded, so I know all about that, and leaning on them also for other things.

I confess that being a male makes a whole lot of things in life a whole lot easier when needed.

I have never played golf, except for on Golden Tee, but once I did play putt-putt, and then built a 18 hole course in my back yard that lasted about 7 years before the carpet messed up. (I still have plenty of pics for proof).

Probably a good thing I never played real golf, I would probably want to buy land and make my own course, and I am too old and broke to attempt that.

    Thanks LTG!

When it is safe to travel again I plan to vacation in your area. Keep the blue tarps on the pool tables, I suck at pool anyway, and most likely we will just talk all day after I buy a day pass(if you sell those).

While meantime my girlfriend will be ok for a while on your pins, then at some point horns will pop out of her head and she will look at me and in a devil voice say "are you going to play any games with me or not"?

I already see the horns and hear the devil voice almost nightly. She is hooked on the BBH arcade, and gets pissed when I am too tired from working to play with her.

While ago I watched Gold Rush on tv, she knows I watch that show, (she actually likes it ok), but she is so addicted to BBH she said she was going to go play 2 games on BBH, and 4 games later she said she is going to play 2 games. (6 total).

I confess that while I also really enjoy playing that game, I made a mistake bringing it in the man cave. I should have put it out back in the lawn mower shed so she would have to walk further to bug me to play again when I am too tired.

I confess that as I get older, sometimes I am just too damn tired to play any game and I just want to sit at this computer, have a few beers, read some Pinside stuff, and maybe make a post or 2 here.

Thanks LTG! AND everyone, for giving me such entertaining, and informative posts to read all the time!

    Please stay safe!

I wish everyone here the best!

    #2980 3 years ago
    Quoted from LTG:

I miss golf. Pee on trees. Throw clubs. I was born to golf.

    Quoted from RyanStl:

I would definitely not use a porta potty if you were around.

That's probably why LTG used the trees, so no one could get him back!

    #2987 3 years ago

I confess that I still love the six feet rule, but I hate wearing a mask. I do wear a mask, but I do not like it.

And soon I may have to see a doctor. Been over a year since I went to one. Of all damn things my big toe is staying painful.

It is weird, a tiny patch of dead skin just hurts like a mf.

Last night me and my girlfriend stayed up until 5am. It had been a while since I was up that late. 3am is pretty normal when I don't have to be up at 5am the next morning.

And several things are bothering me:

    1. plenty of storm damage still around after about 7 weeks now.

    2. I am still waiting for storm damage to be repaired at a rental house, everyone is just so busy it is insane.

    3. Nothing is simple anymore, what should have been a 5 minute call with AT&T last night lasted 2 hours to get resolved.

    4. yeah, again, the loss of my best friend and next door neighbor Dwayne across the lake, and the loss of Who-Dey.

Anyway, I take care of the yard work at the lake, and the house on the other side that is closest to my house, and was cleaning up leaves yesterday.

Some of the leaves I burn, some I dump in the woods behind that house. Whatever is closer and easier.

Anyway, there is a trail there, Dwayne always walked his dogs there and I kept the trail open.

Yesterday it finally sunk in and I closed that trail. (unless some stranger wants to climb over a 5 foot high pile of leaves).

(that wooded land is owned by a church on another road).

I am at the end of the dead end street, with woods on one side, and a lake on the other side. I love not being jammed up like most new developments.

And I confess I planned to go to bed 3 beers ago, I have a busy day coming up, going to the wholesale club to pick up a few things, doing yard work at a rental house, and still have more wood to split, BUT:

My girlfriend is not here bitching that I spend too much time here, and I do not have to be up at 5am to help anyone on a job, so WTF, a good time to type a book here like I used to.

And while 2020 has sucked, at least I have not been sick.

Who would have ever guessed that 6 feet away and a mask could have prevented a lot of doctor trips in the past.

F the mask stuff in the future, and the only person I want to be closer than 6 feet is my girlfriend.

And I never cared to shake anyone's hand anyway, some bastards used to squeeze the shit out of my hand, I hated that crap.

I like the 6 feet away, and a fist bump to seal a deal.

And there are several pins I would like to play, and LTG has most of them, so once virus stuff calms down I am on a road trip, and I hope Prada is still around for a belly rub.

I like variety. Next game I want is a pitch and bat.

I also hope Raw Thrills has more animal hunts with new bonus rounds for sale soon also, that Big Buck Hunter arcade is awesome!

And THANKS AGAIN! LTG and everyone that posts fun posts here to read!

I have never golfed, but I would love to golf with LTG. (using a tree and not letting him drive the cart).

    LTG, another funny story, please?

    #2995 3 years ago
    Quoted from PinPickle:

I can’t wait to play the shit out of both of them. I’m hooked on pinball

I was up to 8 pins, and making room for 12, but I realized that I like variety.

2 pins is enough for me, and I only want one more game(for now anyway), a pitch and bat.

I just found out last night that pitch and bats are out there nib.

As soon as I am sure that the game is reliable enough, and has a good warranty I will probably get one.

I remember when Slug Fest came out, I was about to get one. (I had 4 pins back then, but on location at my Dads business).

That same time, Dad messed up and lost everything, and I sold the pins for cheap, and just worked my own business 120 hours a week for many years.

I always missed pinball during those years, and also always wanted a pitch and bat.

Sold all my pins in 1992/3?, and never even seen another one anywhere around here until I picked up a MET Monsters, a few years ago.

MET was the last pin I sold, but we were just ready for something new.

If I do get a pitch and bat no where for it but right beside the door, which means it would have to move for anything to go in or out.

That is the way I want it, just one more game, a type I have always wanted, and anything else would be a pain in the ass to even move into the man cave.

I confess that ping pong table that took a lot of pin space was on purpose, and it was 1/20th the cost, and gets played more than the pins.

I have downsized, but at the same time added lots of variety.

I am self employed, have been all my life except for when I worked for Dad, and as I get older and my knees and everything else is going out, I am trying to have more fun and work less.

And with Terry(Who-Dey) passing, and my best friend and next door neighbor Dwayne passing, hell, never know when I will kick the bucket, so I plan less work and more fun.

Recently I told a friend about Terry. Terry was 55 and about ready to retire in like 30 days or so. (Dwayne passed at 58).

My friend told me about someone his Dad had worked with, that always ate peanut butter sandwiches and never took a vacation, because he wanted to retire early.

That guy did get his wish and retired early and he passed a month later at 54.

I am so glad that if Terry experienced any pain at all hopefully the pain did not last long. And Terry had so much fun and was so out going and enjoyed every minute of his life.

Dwayne had been in bad shape for several months, could not hold food down, could not sleep, could not breathe well, so he suffered a lot, but he was self employed and still tried to work some until just right before he passed.

Sorry to keep bringing it up, but I miss my friends.

Anyway, my one friend that I help a lot with construction has asked me to work out of town some more operating a excavator, and it is a nice Volvo, so at times I will be away from here. (no smartphone, I type all this on my office computer).

And I confess that I am pretty much a hermit, but have been outgoing at times on some amusement park road trips, and someday I hope to take a road trip to some of your towns, and hang out with you guys.

Yeah I am bad to have a few beers too many and post a long post, but even some of the short posts you guys make I just laugh like hell and enjoy reading.

On my last beer of the night, and toasting it to Terry and Dwayne!

And THANKS AGAIN LTG! I love reading all the crazy fun that you have had! Please post more when you are in the mood to!

When the virus stuff is over, I will be on a road trip to MN.

In the meantime anyone passing through on the way to the beach and going to be on 285, I am about 6 miles off that major interstate, hit me up in advance, once this virus stuff is not a issue.

I confess that I do love living not far from 285, when in a mood for a road trip super easy to head in any direction I want to travel to.

And I confess that the beer barrel ramp on Oktoberfest continues to piss me off, and I am looking at a clear vinyl tube to fix that. (AP already has helped with the stop thing, I wish they would help more with something like what I am thinking about trying).

BUT, having a TWD pro, I already understand weak ramp shots.

I do miss the MET ramp shots, just the sound of the ball on the metal ramps was awesome!

I wish all of you the BEST!

And if you read all this...(sorry), I wish I could have been funny.

    #3012 3 years ago

Christmas has never been too good since I turned 40, years ago, and found out Santa was not as real as I was led to believe.

(I am joking, I figured all that out at around 30 years old like everyone else).

But seriously this time of year sucks. My girlfriends Mom comes to town, and her Mom is just a drama queen and stresses my girlfriend out.

Her Mom is such a drama queen that she stressed herself all the way to the ER, for nothing.

And I confess I am smart enough to stay away from all that.

This year was super easy, all I had to do was keep saying that I do not want to be around anyone, with all this stuff going around.

I hope all of you had a AWESOME CHRISTMAS!

    #3015 3 years ago
    Quoted from LTG:

I used to have an attraction of wallets for the triumph of good over evil.

You are the MAN! Please keep the stories coming!

While ago when I brushed my teeth I remembered how much I hated doing that when I was a little kid. Not that it is fun now, but I do it as I should.

Anyway, I confess, Mom used to bust me all the time for lying about brushing my teeth, until I finally figured out she was checking my toothbrush to see if it was wet.

So for several years, I never brushed my teeth, I just wet the toothbrush.

Actually, it did not turn out bad, I did not have many cavities.

Anyway I have been just blah the last few days, turning my phone off so no one can wake me up, and sleeping for 12 hours.

    Over that hump now, hopefully...

Well, hopefully soon all the political ads on tv while I try to watch the local news can just go away, but that will not happen, it just never goes away.

Hopefully soon all the storm damage around here can get cleared away, over 60 days now?

A lot of that storm damage is in the yard up the street where one of my best friends lived, and I was helping him with the cleanup, and he suddenly died of stage 4 pancreatic cancer.

He never knew he had it, no one did.

    2020 has just sucked.

(and I confess I am watching a certain bowling movie at the moment with Jeff Bridges and John Goodman or I may would have typed a lot more). (I have never seen this movie).

You will have to let us know what you think - it is a love it I get it or a what was that I don't get it kind of movie. I loved it.

I liked TBL ok, a little I did not get, need to catch it on earlier one night.

I understand now why when you order the pin a rug comes with it.

    Quoted from Blitzburgh99:

Rewatch a couple of more times and it will all fall into place. John Goodman’s best role ever!

I have not watched it again yet, but I plan to. I did read the plot on Google, and that answered most of my questions.

And I confess Goodman annoyed me in the movie, and I really like him so I will have to watch a few more times to get him.

Anyway, if you hear me cough, don't worry, I am fine. (girlfriend in isolation though).

So, while I was on hold with the phone company again, it was nice to watch MNF without hearing Big Buck Hunter going on also. (my girlfriend is highly addicted to that game, I like it a lot also, anyway).

No way in hell could I live in a area that has a lot of disasters, because just one storm came though here 10-29-20, and I am still having to deal with leftover crap from that.

And I have some pinball confessions also:

As I was downsizing, I kept TWD pro because in a way it is very deep, and if a newbie is around it is easy to just say "keep hitting that big ugly thing just to the right of the middle, that is hard to miss, and you will get a multiball. And it is a fun game and it cusses sometimes. One time it told me I was one tough son of a bitch.

I also kept OKT, because it is so deep, so many different ways to do things, like the JJPPOTCSE that I sold. (yeah, no rocking boat with a cannon, but I am not worth a crap at working on games, and main reason I sold it was possible future headaches)

Anyway, back to OKT, I love it, I wish it cussed, but that damn beer ramp has been a pain in the ass. Used to I rarely could make it, then with the coil stop they sent out I made it fine forever.

BUT, THEN, about the time I seen some comments about new problems with that ramp, and thought I am so glad mine is doing awesome, WELL, mine starts messing up. I was jinxed!

Anyway, I am about to poor man rig that beer barrel ramp so I never have any more problems with it. I am trying to get some clear vinyl tubing to act right, in the meantime I have a piece of pvc pipe ready to just go there for a easy fix.

DAMN, it just hit me...if I go with the pvc pipe, I can decorate it really well, so no real need for the clear, does not block view anyway I don't think.

TWD pro is a AWESOME game! OKT is also awesome, in my opinion like a poor man JJPPOTC.

If OKT had a real adult setting, and better beer barrel ramp walls, it would have to be top 15!

Always something to do, busy anyway, but I have to call the phone company yet again, check on storm repairs at a rental house again, and do some poor man engineering on this OKT ramp.

(I wish AP would send out some more plastic to add to the ramp, I was impressed, very impressed when my Distro told me he had a coil stop and bar spacers for the game).

In no way at all am I complaining about anything, I am just having a beer(12), and rambling.

And with all the phone company and storm aggravation going on also a friend I do a lot of work for has talked me into working out of town a couple days a week, so just always something.

I am getting too old for all this.

And I confess that I was looking at Google maps last night, and on my way to a MN vacation road trip I am going to stop by Silver Dollar City and Branson for a couple of days. Just as soon as it is safe to go outside again. (or in this case safe to be around other people again).

And I always hope for another funny LTG story!

(I confess I used to have a 18 hole putt putt course par 70ish in my backyard, but I have never played real golf, and would like to give it a try, and from LTG's stories I know to just use the trees, and never let anyone else drive the cart).

Pinside is just a awesome site!

Funny stuff, serious stuff, and just tales about different things in life that you may deal with at some point.

I wish ALL of YOU the BEST!

(a tad early), BUT HAPPY NEW YEAR!

    #3025 3 years ago

(got to be up super early, so this is super short).

I confess that I am so glad that I was not alive from 1920-1933.

    Prohibition years.

    Quoted from RyanStl:

I confess. I used to skip all of JohnnyPinball007 confess posts

I confess while I have only been on Pinside for 3+ years as a member(about another year before that as just a visitor looking at the top 100 and game comments), I have been making long posts for about 20 years via email.

My best friend, and also biggest customer for several years lives in Buffalo, NY.

We would email back and forth cutting up, then sometimes he would tick me off, lie about why I have not received my check yet for the last 8 pallets of inventory I shipped him, and after a few too many beers I would email him a very nasty email.

I confess the next day I would dread even looking at my computer.

    Did I send that email?

    Did he respond?

SHIT! I did send that email while I was drinking, and he has replied back, crap!

I mean best friend or not, owe me money, lie about it, after a few beers I get really bad.

While at the same time I did not want to mess up our friendship, because he had done some awesome favors for me with his business also.

EVERYTIME that ever happened, and it was a few times, when I read his reply to one of my very bad emails, it was always something like:

You are so funny when you drink!

Please keep sending me these emails!

And F Lionel, and Philly, and Indy, the family people, and all those assholes! (people we both competed against nicknames we had gave them in business dealings). (he always replied all that back).

I can not even type the kinds of stuff I used to email him on this site, or I would get banned.

And so cool he always responded that was so funny, keep emailing me. And his F all these people rant back himself.

Anyway, back in 09/2019 I took my girlfriend up to Buffalo, to hang out with Larry, and go to the falls and check out his favorite places, and after the trip my girlfriend said Larry is very awesome, he is the coolest friend you have.

And I said yeah, but sometimes that bastard did owe me money a tad too long, but he always did settle up.

And emails to Larry about where is my check, and cussing him out, and his response was mostly I am so funny when I drink, but my emails are hard to read, can I space out more.

I confess that now when I make a long post, I remember the Larry days, and keep spacing out.

And really I was never mad at Larry.

I did not like being lied to, and he apologized and paid in full on that one deal, even though it was installments monthly for about 2 years.

But before that his business helped me a ton to move some of my inventory, that helped me to pay off rental houses.

I think long ago I typed a lot of the prank stuff we did in a prank topic here.

(some other members had some very awesome tales, wish that would have kept going).

    Quoted from RyanStl:

LTG (had no idea he was such a hell raiser)

    HELL YEAH!

    LTG is the best!

I hope enjoys typing these awesome stories as much as I enjoy reading them!

(for me anyway, I smile as I type about a fond memory).

(almost) Happy New Year! (yeah, trying to get rid of 2020 asap)

    #3029 3 years ago
    Quoted from JohnnyPinball007:

I have only been on Pinside for 3+ years as a member(about another year before that as just a visitor looking at the top 100 and game comments),

Sorry to quote myself (not really, just being polite),

    But that reminded me.

Long before I was ever a member here, and just a visitor reading comments about top 100 games,

There were a few, that were a lot longer and harder to read than what I post for fun here.

Some of those game comment posts make my posts here look short. (at least in my own mind).

AND, one thing about it, I do not make many posts. (yeah, a lot in this topic),

BUT, so many make all these 3-7 word posts all the time, so really if we can go by letters used in a day, I do not make many posts, I just do my posting all at the same time, in the same place.

And I confess I know this is pinball, and I confess I am so fed up with that beer barrel ramp on OKT that I have some pvc pipe, regular white, and a clear vinyl tube, that I am about to fix that ball jumping off the ramp if it is the last thing I do.

I love OKT, but that damn ramp has been a awesome fun challenge!

And I have lost way too many friends on here, and in person this year, 2020 has sucked, I am tired of feeling sad, and I hope all of us can have a much better 2021.

I wish all of us the best in 2021, and hopefully many, many years after also!

(oh, and don't forget the sunscreen either, that skin cancer bitch can be pretty bad also).

(always something in life trying to mess up our little world of fun).

    #3030 3 years ago

My background is heavy equipment, like you see on the tv show Gold Rush, but at the same time more like working 25 feet underground also. (installing or repairing pipelines...water, sewer, storm drain, etc.)

Sometimes I am on the machine, sometimes I am way underground.

I prefer to do the underground work, and not be on the machine.

It used to be the other way around, but anything can happen at anytime, and (20 years ago?) laws were written that a operator could go to jail for a ditch cave in.

I have always enjoyed this work and the pay is ok also, but if something out of my hands is going to put me in jail for manslaughter, HELL NO!

I enjoy my freedoms way too much to ever chance anything putting me in jail.

I would rather be dead, than ever even have to look at any iron bars taking away my freedom.

And so I behave very well, drink Natties like a fish, but I never drink and drive, not even ONE!

And I keep up with it if I have a early morning, because I know how fast I can have a beer, versus how much sleep I need for it to all be okay again.

You can get a DUI in the morning also, on your way to work, it is not just a night thing.

And I just went to a party to watch fireworks, (in walking distance), I drove my cooler and chair over there and dropped off, brought the car back home and walked over. (1/2 mile away).

We stayed well away from each other and outdoors, so it was good.

I confess that I just had a awesome time, had 15 Natties, and walked back home.

Awesome night, Awesome fireworks, BUT a good 30% was gun fire. I did not like that at all.

I just hope those stupid people that fired guns were smart enough to do it safely, and not just fire at the sky like a complete idiot.

Anyway, sorry to act like your parents, but please everyone try to just stay safe and out of jail.

    HAPPY NEW YEAR!

    #3031 3 years ago
    Quoted from JohnnyPinball007:

    My background is heavy equipment

That reminded me where I was going with this in the first place.

When I was at first getting away from all that, because I wanted to distance myself from family and start a whole new business, I actually bought a book the size of a phone book, called buying and selling on Ebay.

Before I ever even owned a computer, I knew everything about Ebay, and I had plenty of inventory.

And what reminded me about all of this, is the point system here.

While ago I seen mine go up 4k, and it was weird, but yet WOW!

On one hand I wish the point system here did not exist, while also I am very glad it does exist.

I am not one to brag, but I am proud of these 3 things:

    1. I never got my first negative on Ebay until about 8500, at 10k I only had the one.

    2. At 20k Ebay feedbacks I only had 3 negatives, and it was always a punk from Canada. (no offense, I was mostly selling music CD's, and the bad feedbacks had nothing to do with my services). (they were just feedbacks saying that the CD sucked).

Anyway, F Ebay, it was fun and made money for a while.

The one time I tried to buy something there (a DVD, not even a rare one), I was given the run around and never received it, and I tried to give that seller a negative, but the site would not let me.

Anyway for years now I confess I have been letting a friend use my Ebay and Paypal accounts. I only use Amazon anymore for all this leftover stuff I have.

(and all the time as a seller Amazon also gets to be more and more of a pain in the ass).

I still have a ton of rare inventory for Amazon, and it is still clicked (on vacation), like it has been since this storm hit and rocked my world.

I still can not get over the fact that Who-Dey will never post here again, or send me a PM.

And that is just on this site.

Everyday I have to look at the storm damage still in my best friend/next door neighbors yard and think about how I was helping him clean up that mess, and now he is gone suddenly from cancer.

I am not crying or anything, but 2020 has been a very sad year.

And my girlfriend is in quarantine now.

2021 will be the same as 2020 for a while, but hopefully everything will just get better soon.

I wish all of you a Happy New Year!

    #3037 3 years ago
    Quoted from LTG:

Never figured you to be a party pooper.

I just want to be able to have some Natty every night.

    #3047 3 years ago
    Quoted from snowy_owl:

I confess that I think that the addams family is extremely overrated.

I confess that I think Oktoberfest is very under rated.

We are all different, and that is a good thing.

At the moment I confess that the next game I want is a pitch and bat, preferably nib.

I like having a lot of variety around. Hell, the cheapest toy I have is a corn hole set and it is pretty fun.

One awesome thing with it was being able to have it indoors, with 12 foot ceiling, on a concrete floor, no need to worry about summer heat or skeeters.

(I confess I am surprised that skeeters does not have a red line under it, I was just goofing off since I am in the South and making fun of the way we talk when we talk about that bug called a mosquito. (and damn, I just spelled that right without any help, I am on a roll with spelling).

And I confess when channel surfing and see "corn hole championships" on tv, that is just wrong. No way in hell is that game a sport. (it is just a fun thing to do while having a Natty).

And I confess that I should be trying to save every nickel to try to get another rental house, I just don't care as much anymore.

I am not going to get stupid and just blow money, but at the same time I have lost so many friends in the last few years from various health problems that I plan to live more like... what would I do if I only had 5 more years to live.

As far as a pitch and bat, I have wanted one for over 35 years. I looked at Slug Fest in the showroom when it came out, but at that time my whole world was turned upside down for a while. I sold all my pins and most everything else at that time.

The only game my girlfriend wants to play anymore is Big Buck Hunter Reloaded, and that is cool with me. I play it a hour or 2 with her while she plays it 2-3 hours.

I already know she will not play a pitch and bat much, and that is fine, it is just a game I always wanted. (I am sure she would play for a while, anything I have ever purchased she has played for a while).

And I confess that I am SO VERY GLAD that my girlfriend likes these games so much.

I don't think any of my previous girlfriends would have cared about any of them, they would be more like bitching that I was blowing money on this stuff instead of taking them out on expensive dinners.

    THIS girlfriend is a KEEPER!

F**K expensive dinners! I would rather save and own something than just blow money on stuff that does not last long at all.

I did lose money on all but one pin when I sold, and I do not care.

There are no places near me to play, I like to drink beer when I play, and I do not drink and drive, (and I am tight and Natty here is cheap), so it has all been a win-win with all the nib pins the last few years here, only to sell most at a 1k loss on average after 800-2400 plays.

BUT, if a place opened up in walking distance, and let me bring my cooler in, then hell yeah I would put money in someone else's games!

Only when on vacation somewhere will I pay 3.00 for a .60 beer.

And I kind of want to vacation 365 days a year, so games here it is!

And I confess I am so glad I took the path I did and have always been self employed.

With what I have going on maybe 100 days a year I need to be up around 5am.

Maybe 100 days a year I need to be up around 9am.

AND the other 165 days of the year yeah I will shoot for getting up at the crack of noon, but if I am not up at even 4pm all I missed were the early NFL games.

And that is my favorite quote. I have been up since the crack of noon.

BUT, when I really have a lot going on, I may set the clock for 5am, but be up at 3am getting to work on it.

When I have a lot going on, I can not sleep, sometimes I have just worked almost 80 hours solid to get things done so that I could sleep as mush as I want with no stress.

    Quoted from RCA1:

use a trench box, steel sheets, taper the walls back, whatever you need to do.

We have always done all that, but even with that there is always a odd time that for some reason you need to take a risk for a minute. (maybe other lines around that the box/boxes will not fit under, etc.). All good!

    Quoted from Blitzburgh99:

I’m color blind. Maybe that’s a factor. Being color blind isn’t a recognized disability,

I am very sorry that you have had to deal with that. Eye problems suck!

This guy that used to work for my Dad was color blind, and he would joke that at a red light most of the time he could tell when it turned green from the brightness, but if the sun was on it too much he never knew until people started honking horns and shooting birds.

I have a spot in my right eye that I can not read a eye chart, but I am fine otherwise I thought.

Just a few years ago while getting a eye test for a CDL I found out that also I have no depth perception.

(the spot was caused by Cat Scratch Disease, not sure if the cat stuff did that also, or if I never had depth perception).

I remember that day, a eye doc asking me what I see, I seen nothing but dots, I asked him what I was supposed to see, point it out to me, and after he did I still could not see any of that, F**K THAT! I see fine enough without all the super human eye sight apparently most everyone else has.

I do confess that since I know now that I do have eye issues, I am extra careful when driving especially at night.

At night if I am making a turn, it is hard to judge how fast the headlights are coming, so I wait extra time until I know I am safe.

In the daytime I am pretty fast, not many ever passes me, but at night I am chilled out, and taking it easy, and hopefully off the road anyway.

And I confess that Pinside should give any member that actually reads all this 1000 points.

    Stay safe my friends!

(and yeah I am sure all that put everyone to sleep, so hopefully LTG can tell another funny story here to keep this topic interesting).

And I confess my ass is going to bed, not even reading all this to see if I made any typos or anything.

    GOOD NIGHT PINSIDE!!!

    #3056 3 years ago

I confess I am worn out and sore.

I got up super early and drove round trip to Indiana today to pick up a pitch and bat game.

12+ hours with wall to wall 18 wheelers and hills and curves did not help. Traffic sucked.

And I confess I am sorry for such a short post, I am just too tired.

    #3061 3 years ago
    Quoted from Dee-Bow:

did u pick up the zombie themed new-ish pitch& bat?!

Yes! Pic in the what machine did you bring home today. (head is not back on it yet, too tired tonight).

    Quoted from punkin:

They are the best ones mate.

I assume you are talking about the trucks?

If so I know all about them, the space they need, the room and speed they need for the next hill, and I am very good at helping truckers with all that, BUT, a few are just stupid, 3 in a row on 3 lanes for miles, barely doing the speed limit, everyone else just getting jammed up behind them and getting stupid. (well, more stupid).

And I confess it was nice to travel alone and just pull over anywhere on the side of the road to take a leak. Saved a whole lot of time while ago.

I did not speed too bad, and I was lucky anyway, most of the cops I did encounter had their radars pointed in the other direction...both ways on the trip.

And I have to work out of town one more time probably next week, and todays 12+ hour driving makes that 5 hour driving look very easy.

My neck hurt so bad while ago it was hard to take, stress?

Anyway, it did not happen today, but in the past when 2 trucks have rode side by side for miles, when I finally get around I may show them a finger.

Except for when that stupid crap happens, I help trucks all I can when I am on a trip, I watch the on ramps, break downs, and anything else they may need to change lanes for, and I give them plenty of room.

Hell, truckers are a lot better for the most part than the other drivers on the road.

And I confess I have never had a CDL, but in the past I have been in the passenger seat for many a mile when I was very young with my Dad driving.

And I confess I still almost shit myself when a tire blows up on one, while it is right beside me, or even in front of me...beside me just the loud boom, in front of me I still have dents on my old pick-up truck from tire pieces hitting it.

Sorry I am too tired to try to be funny, hopefully this has reminded LTG about something good though?

And LTG, how did you ever end up in Russia in the first place?

    Stay safe my friends!

(I seen some aftermaths of some pretty bad truck wrecks while ago, I mean very bad, I hope they made it out ok, those cabs were flat and burned).

    #3064 3 years ago
    Quoted from punkin:

    No, short posts

Oops, I thought you were talking about being on the road with trucks.

    #3067 3 years ago
    Quoted from Blitzburgh99:

So, I agree. There are some guys in this hobby that are pretty self-centered and don’t want to pay for anything

I can also agree with that!

    #3075 3 years ago

I confess that while ago I slept for 12 hours, and I could have slept longer.

I am no longer used to driving 12+ hours in a day, like I did to get that baseball game.

And I am so glad that I am out of space now... well, not really, we all know how this goes, games are like drugs(I do not do any drugs, just beer), but anyway games are so addictive, some people even has them in their kitchen, and someday I may even get that bad, but I hope not.

AND, when I was a teen, and had pins on location at my Dad's business, the games that did not do well and was hard, I would use tie wire to block the out lanes, to entice not only me and my friends to try the game more, but also anyone that would drop money in it.

Sometimes I have thought about that with games I have now, but I have never even adjusted the posts to try to make a pin easier.

I am so glad that at the moment my bucket list is complete with variety I have always wanted.

Only thing on my bucket list now is a road trip to SS Billiards.

You should see his drivers license photo!

Actually... I always goof off for those. I shave my mustache and grow some hair.

(normally I have a shaved head and a mustache).

BUT, last time I was having some work done on my teeth, and I was able to make a really good goofy picture.

    Quoted from Jaybird815:

Johnny, are you not smiling because you don’t have a natty in your hand?

Actually the sun was blinding me, I have no clue why I did not grab my sunglasses.

WARNING: The following post contains drama that is not suitable for anyone.

Dam... I worked my ass off today out in my yard(while watching NFL games all I could also), and wore out my knees, and ankles, and can barely walk now.

When my girlfriend came over she was fine for a long while, she understood.

THEN, she started getting bitchy after I would not play Big Buck Hunter, so she played by herself while I rested and watched football.

    All was fine I thought.

    But I was wrong.

Right before she left(to go baby sit her Mom that needs to just go back out of town to her own home), she told me that I am no longer playing Big Buck Hunter unless you play with me.

I said fine, normally I can play a hour or 2, but not 2-4 hours like you do. But I was too sore to mess with it at all tonight.

THEN, she admitted that she is addicted to the game, and I laughed and said yeah, that is what I have been saying on Pinside, you are totally hooked on that game.

So then she gets mad about me talking about her here, and I said well, if not for Pinside I never would have known this game existed.

And then she is like "I wish you had of never got on Pinside".

AND it is all bullcrap, her Mom is in town driving her nuts, while I have been working out of town on Wednesdays, and she keeps bringing it up "are you going to work out of town every Wednesday for the rest of your life"?

I really hope my girl can just chill soon. She is awesome and I hope to spend the rest of my life with her.

My love keeps hinting that I am cheating on her, well I confess I have never cheated on anyone in my entire life.

I am normal, just more and more knee pain, etc. as I get older.

She is just addicted to the games, mostly BBH and Golden Tee, and I also want to play those games as much as I can, but sometimes I am just too sore, and/or tired to enjoy playing.

And I have read a lot of comments about how a lot of your wives are not interested in playing your games, I have the opposite problem, and I am not complaining at all, I love the fact my Love enjoys these games so much...

BUT, to just be treated like I was, with the whole... "you never play anymore".

WELL, I did not play tonight, but the last 2 nights I did play 2 rounds with you.

I hope to keep her with me the rest of my life, she is AWESOME!

But while we did not play any ping pong because she was sore, or any corn hole because she was sore, I was totally fine, chilled out, never said a word.

BUT, when I am tired and sore, and do not want to play much, if any BBH at the moment, now I just never play anything anymore with her.

As she left, to go baby sit her Mom, I told her all this again.

No, I did not play BBH with you, I was too tired and sore, I could barely walk with my knee pain.

BUT, I did play 2 BBH games with you the last 2 nights.

She is just addicted to BBH, and it is a awesome game!

I said long ago somewhere on this site, after the virus is over, any operators that have a location with a lot of females, you will make a killing with this game.

(or maybe my love is just special and other ladies will not even play it)?

    I have no clue anymore.

I just try to be the best I can, and as I get older sometimes knees says "you ain't gonna do shit right now".
