I must confess I wondered the same thing, but once installed they don't block any view, just add to the coolness. Spend on!

I have about 220 plus games on my Godzilla and have yet to log into the insider connected

Sure, just like everyone else's back loop protector on Iron Maiden...it curls over time, and sure, I confess I spent the cash on Cliffs carbon fiber protector... but if I remember correctly, my original IMDN didn't have anything back there at all, and it was fine for hundreds of plays....and hey, I like that loop just as fast as it can be, without any hops or bumps or hang-ups, etc.

... and if there's a little bit of damage back there, you can't see it anyway (and I can always put a protector back there later if any damage develops, which it probably won't).

So I confess... I just took that fkin' protector off and and have been barebacking that back loop like a champ and couldn't be happier with the performance
