I currently own 4 new Axl plastics for GnR but I keep the cracked one on the game because, if I replace it, then I'll only have 3 new Axl plastics.

Quoted from BoJo:I like turtles
I actually do like turtles. TMNT is my favorite pin.
When starting out working on pins I wanted to "practice" a FULL restoration on a crappy game so that if I screw up, my thinking was I can throw it in the dumpster.
Sure enough a Raven pops up for sale. I looked at the ratings/comments for it and saw it was considered a turd. I clearly remember this comment on ipdb, "The only satisfaction one could get from this game is if you hauled it to the top of a tall building, shoved it over the edge, and watch it smash into a thousand pieces. How in the world did they sell these hideous creations in the first place?"
So I thought to myself, GREAT I have my turd game....Well not only did I do a FULL restoration on it and it turned out GREAT, but I also kept it and it is proudly in my lineup of "A" listers to this day. People scoff at it, the wife hates it, the dog wants to pee on it, but I think it really isn't that bad of a game and is very challenging. There are times where I actually enjoy playing Raven over most "A" listers. (And no I am not on drugs)
I don't really like stacking modes (ala tspp)
I prefer stern flippers
I've blamed a lot of farts on my dog.
Quoted from swampfire:Oh man, I did the exact same thing. The music was OK but the audio quality bugged me.
Whitewater is one of my favorite pinball soundtracks. CONFESSION!!!!
I have tournaments with myself (70's Ems), crank up retro disco full blast, dance in between balls..with the fog machine and disco light on. I will also, occasionally, 'howl' out the screen door just to make sure everybody knows I'm having a good time. I am trying to quit.
Quoted from PinballMolly:I was at a snooty bachelorette party in Palm Springs, and the other girls there were so freakin' fancy and girliefied and dressed up that I just really wanted to leave. So I got on Craigslist on my phone and found a Mystic for $450 a couple hundred miles away and pretended like it was an emergency...left to go get it. Sorry gals, gotta prioritize!
Wish I were closer!!
Quoted from presqueisle:dance in between balls
I was certain I was the only one who did this.
Drive an extra twenty minutes if I don't have to == CRAZY.
Drive 12 hours to pick up a pin == MORAL IMPERATIVE.
What's sad is it can be a real dog of a pin and I just don't care. Half the time, I don't even buy it.
I have (twice) lost my favorite baseball cap and sunglasses because I put them down inside of cab while I was working on a pin (hence, closing the game up and forgetting they were there). The first time they were lost for a month before I stumbled upon them.
I'm addicted to checking pinside.
When we meet someplace and you tell me your pinside name, even though I nod in recognition, I still don't know who you are.
Quoted from Rarehero:I could have had TRON LE for ~$5500, but cancelled my order cuz I didn't like the movie...
I had one offered to me for $5k, but didn't because I ordered WOZ. That was over two years ago...
All my tilt bobs are in the coin trays.
All my outlane posts are narrow.
No space or money for more pins but check Craigslist daily.
Spend more time on Pinside than playing pinball.
Still waiting, but still believe the journey is the reward.
I like Blackout's sounds.
Have more pins than anyone around, yet still drive an hour to hit an arcade.
My girlfriend has staged a pintervention.
I have a problem...
DataEast Time Machine is one of the greatest games ever made..even though it's ugly as hell...the soundtrack is amazing..
I check pinside constantly.
I love my Hardbody.
I want a Special Force.
I have no room and shouldn't spend the money, but I constantly search for pins and vids for sale on Craigslist.
I like looking at the machines all lit up in attract mode, cleaned and shipped, more than I like playing them.
I set mine to 5 balls as well.
I constantly kid myself that eventually I will sell some if I get more.
My obsession is creeping into early arcade vids as well.
I tell myself EM CL deals will be an easy fix, and believe my own lie.
I own the first 3 seasons of MacGyver on DVD, as well as the entire MASH series and Hardcastle and McCormick.
I've had dinner with people who are pinball famous, I've spent significant time in the shops of those pinball famous, I sell pinball products and would consider myself an active member of the pinball community... I only own 1 pinball machine and I don't play it much because I'm kind of sick of it.
EDIT: I'm kind of sick of the one game I own, not pinball in general. I need to trade out my TFTC for something new!

WTB: TFTC
Quoted from dkpinball:When we meet someplace and you tell me your pinside name, even though I nod in recognition, I still don't know who you are.
That's funny, I find it easier to remember someones pinside name than their real name. I've been an online gamer for so long, I'm used to people calling me Wolf or Lazarus.
Quoted from hassanchop:My wife thinks my NIB Tron costed 500$ (she never saw the box...)
There's no way my wife would fall for that. She always ribs me when I give her a hard time for spending $10 too much on the grocery budget, and a $100 pinball life order shows up the next day.
I guess thats a confession in itself. I've occasionally underestimated how much "fun" money is left, so i can divert more to the AC/DC fund.
Quoted from dkpinball:I need to trade out my TFTC for something new!
Interested in a JM?
Since I threadjacked a minute ago, I'll make a confession. I've spent the last three days at work browsing pinside, shopping for parts, and watching pinball videos!
I buy parts and usually lose them before I get them installed. I find them eventually, but my procrastination and disorganization usually come back to haunt me.
I don't love Funhouse, but it is a family favorite so I'll always have it.
I'm a habitual restarter.
I once installed a flipper coil upside down on my JD during a rebuild. It worked, but the flipper was weak. I spent WAY too long desoldering, resoldering, and diagnosing before it hit me that I'm an idiot.
I hate selling pins. I often wait for a WTB thread to come up and contact the poster. I know they're interested, and I don't have to deal with a bunch of people.
All my games are set to free play, but some mad obsession makes me make sure they have coin-mechs and boxes.
My strategy to get my wife to go along with pinball purchases is to not tell her, and then act surprised when they show up and she says I didn't tell her.
I think my wife thinks I may have gone crazy, but doesn't know how to tell me.
I have called in sick to work to go play pinball, multiple times.
I have called in sick to work to go pick up a new machine.
I spend roughly an hour on pinside every day at work.
I watch Papa Videos at work.
I print huge manuals and guides off of IPDB at work.
I made this post at work.
I study nuclear science
I love my classes
I got a crazy teacher, he wears dark glasses
Things are going great, and they're only getting better
I'm doing all right, getting good grades
The future's so bright, I gotta wear shades
Quoted from hassanchop:My wife thinks my NIB Tron did cost 500$ (she never saw the box...)
Ha I never gave my wife a number on METLE. She asked a couple different times too. I said expensive.... then I told her I would sell it in 4 years and we go on a kick ass 25 anniversary trip.
Will that actually happen?!?!? Hmmmmmm
Nothing against designers, but I can't stand designers signatures on things like Pf's and translites. It just looks wrong to me.
A sincere answer: I enjoy watching groups play my pins more than I enjoy playing myself. It is great to see people having so much fun, especially those who have never touched a real pinball machine.
Quoted from PinPatch:Drank so much have thrown up in my sleep (four times!!!)
The same night?
