    Quoted from Becker34:

I've only seen snakes outside of a cage or whatever the proper nomenclature is for what snakes might be kept in twice.

Enclosure is the term you are looking for. Some people will correct you but tank works too as far as i'm concerned.

I’m not a conspiracy theorist by any means, except when it comes to one particular event.

I firmly believe Princess Diana faked her death and is living with her companion Dodi Alfyed in some private island or compound somewhere, free of paparazzi and public exposure.

    I’ve always thought this.

I like how all the conspiracy theorists i know, know about all the conspiracies.

The whole fucking point of a conspiracy is that no one knows about it.

Doesn't that make these people common knowledge theorists?

I bought a TNA today (original run). That's three Spooky's for the punkin. It was written in the stars, there's a vacant space for it here by chance.

    348907913_987849529040983_1229195543079652224_n (resized).jpg348907913_987849529040983_1229195543079652224_n (resized).jpg

I'm not particularly aiming for rare machines, but it's just ending up that way.

    #11557 4 months ago

TNA is fucking awesome. I remember I got goose bumps first time I played it, when I took the plunge and the music and lightshow really kicked in.

    Mmm..

    #11558 4 months ago

Yeah, played it at Pinfest Newcastle and came back wanting one. Reading the remake thread of the new issues on the latest release put a damper on that idea real quick. I don't mind spooky being quirky, but their name went with quality in the past too. Not so much on the new editions.

This is an original 1 owner machine, so looking forward to getting it.
TNA is what Celts should have been if they did something with the code.

Loving my single level games lately, would be very keen on a Pulp Fiction too, once the start coming up used.

    #11559 4 months ago

    Nice Spooky line up.

This little eight minute tearjerker felt pretty apt at my time of life. Story about regret.

You can't go anywhere in the winter here without tripping over a fucking whale or a dolphin.

I'll go for a nice ride in the boat and loll about catching a fish? Go sit on the headland and enjoy the view?

Oh no you don't. There's bloody whales breaching everywhere, dolphins swimming round in packs jumping up and spoiling the view or the serenity. Fuck, there's even huge Manta Rays in the river as big as 5 door hatchbacks splashing you everytime they jump out of the water when all you want is a peacefull walk.

    Stupid wildlife.

And another thing. Why is it so pleasant to shave in warm water in the winter, but so unpleasant to brush your teeth with the same warm water?

Any manatees? I like them. They will splash you also, but I don't mind.

I think those are only in Gulf of Mexico.

Nope. They are all over Florida. I was once walking along a very busy path next to a large lake. If you just looked over the edge of the sea wall, there were 2 manatees f*cking. You couldn’t see them otherwise. Manatees are packing…

We do, but ours are cooler, they live in the salt.

We call them Dugongs here. They don't quite get to my place (but i've seen stranger), about 4 hours drive north of me to Brisbane and above.

I've been looking at fermented pancake recipes and trying to decide which way to go since i found a blini pan in the back of the cupboard.

Lucky i am in a heavy Sikh town as there are a few Indian supply stores in my small town.

I'm currently tossing up twixt Dosa and Malpua.

Having never tried either of these i'll ask some expert advise at the store, but i thought their may be an Indian connoisseur here who had tried both a nd had a preference for making one at home.

I am aware they are two different breads, eaten at different meals, but they are still just bread/pancakes, so can be substituted for most anything as a carrier.

    Any opinions/help/favourite methods.

Looking at long term fridge ferments, if it lasts a week i'm happy.

    Compared to you i don't.

I don't eat bread, potatoes/vegetables or rice as a rule, but keep some garlic butter in the fridge and some rolls in the freezer. Maybe once a month i'm the bread guy.

I don't eat actual meals, i'll eat a piece of chicken or lamb or pork and that will be my meal. Or some processed food like nuggets or battered fish pieces.

I confess that I'm turning into an old fart.

We have this music festival called Summerfest. 55 years on the shore of Lake Michigan, a dozen stages including one that seats 10k and one that seats 23k. General admission gets you into every stage, although the 10k that's half reserved and the 23k seater that is probably 80% reserved which require a separate ticket for the reserved seats. It was a lot of fun when I was 25 and it was $3 a beer. It was also a lot of fun til I got burned out on it thru work. A lot of radio stations sponsored stages. We did live broadcasts, introduced bands. There was free beer and clean restrooms backstage. It was an 11 day party.

I haven't been there in almost 10 years. And that was for work. Did my show, saw a band and got the hell out before sundown. Pretty much perfect.

We're not out there every day like we were years ago. I can still get free tickets for almost whatever I want thru work. They spend money with us, we hype. One hand washes the other and everyone goes home happy.

As soon as I saw Cheap Trick on the schedule, I put in for tickets. They're playing on opening night, which is a few Thursdays away. Didn't think much else about it except to think about how to weasel myself a parking pass. It's probably $30 nowadays. Ugh. Whatever. Better than getting barfed on riding one of the shuttles.

I assumed that the band would go on at 7 or 8. The festival opens around noon and closes at midnight, with headliners starting at 7, 8 or 10. I looked up the start time the other day. CT starts at 10. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck. I assumed that since it's an older crowd they'd play earlier. WRONG. That means they get done around 11:30 (which is curfew for bands), I'm in the car at midnight and with any luck out of the lot in another 20 minutes. Then another 20 minutes home. Lucky if my head hits the pillow by 1am, 1:30 if I have to crap before bed. And then be coherent for work.

And this is exactly what I would make fun of "old" people for 30 years ago. I guess mommy's alright, daddy's alright... they just seem a little weird. And get off my lawn.

I feel your pain too. I'm of the Cheap Trick generation also (turned 59 a couple weeks ago). My girlfriend is a bit older than me, and we went to see Hermans Hermits in the spring. No opening band, they started at 730pm and were done at 9. We were home by 10. I was like, "That's how you do it!" And then realized that I too had become an old fart.

Making some wings for pinball comp today.

One ol mates allergic to pretty much everything, including honey soy, kids are fussy as shit everywhere, some people don't do chilli.

So it's salt and pepper wings with homemade Szechuan salt.

Can't do much about the vegetarian Chef if he comes, but he brings his own frozen niblly quiche thingos or samosas anyway.

Confess i'm betting someone will complain they are too spicy even though i'm leaving out the chilli flakes i would have put in if they were for me..

I confess, came out of the store and I noticed my car brake lights flashed, figured the keys in my pocket caused it somehow but weird. Then the car starts to Slowly roll so I run panicking figuring I would have to jump in and brake. It wasn’t my car. It was some goof who had the same car parked 2 spots over.

It's a sometimes thing for me. I have rules i live by. I have to, there's no one to tell me not to.

Never more than twice a week is the rule, but often i'll go a couple weeks without. And usually it's only a Friday night with mates here playing pinball, or a Sunday arvo doing the same thing. Just because i'm allowed twice a week doesn't mean i have to. I have a pretty good handle on myself and live by lots of little rules that make up a code.

The nice thing about Aunty M is that i can still eat or sleep if i want to as well. It's soft and gentle, but still makes other people more interesting.

Confess i just bought two more pair of Brooks runners the same as the ones i have now that are still fine. Had to get them from Brooks Australia as the net shops were all out of stock.

I just don't want to miss out on getting them again as they are a limited style and they go well with most of my clothes.

Switched from those to cheap blades years ago. Great decision. Even cheap blades are pretty good, and repeatedly overpaying for razor blades was grating.

I have been annoyed that Amazon bought out two different cheap blade companies I was buying from and shut them down.
Tried Amazon basics blades and they are OK. Pretty sure they are made by one of the companies they bought and shut down.

Do you really need to? Those last a good, long while for me. Gilette is the only game in town when it comes to finessing around the ears. So much slimmer than the other disposables. If I'm shaving regularly though, I like my Arc 5.

Yeah, the comment came from chucking a tugging blade away and getting that new whisper feel.

If i just want a rough shave i use the electric, but if i'm going somewhere i'll use the Gillette. I could no sooner go back to cheap blades than i could go back to flying economy or using single ply paper.

The traditional blade idea may be a goer though.

Can't you spend some money on a good brush? But can't you feel the difference too?

You CAN spend good money on a brush, like anything else....you can get them for $25 or $250....i opt for the cheaper ones....

I've found that a traditional blade cuts every bit as close as my Gillette Fusion 4 blade, especially with a good lather (the canned stuff doesn't compare.)

Plus it's kinda fun mixing up a different scent every day - tobacco scent is killer.

I shave my face and head 2 times a week, and in a short time the blades hurt my face, but last forever while shaving my head.

It all has to do with the different type of skin in those different places I guess?
