better beer and still takes ten minutes to pour.

Most people I know are starting their second or third beer after 10 minutes

Too good not to share, though i doubt it's a cover.

They are Texans though. I have had a couple of Texan mates and liked both of them for the same reasons.

The world needs more punk rock.

    Do it.

I confess my list of people who get my help shrunk by 2 yesterday.

I hate pin gulps, even the name "pin gulp" makes me want to vomit. I also cant stand the word "man cave" I dont tilt or nudge any of my pins, the ball goes where it wants to. I have flipped off my pins and told them to go to hell when i get a bad ball. I also have a very unhealthy obsession with the condition of my pins (and arcade games), they have to look brand new or it drives me nuts. I have spent way more money restoring a pin or game than what its worth.

I only use one flipper at a time on my machines. Left on odd numbered days, right on evens. Makes the sleeves last longer.

    #6861 2 years ago

I just won a pair of tickets to this Sundays Red Wings game!

That's all. Now back to your regularly scheduled bitching.

    #6862 2 years ago

I confess I spend my days waiting for contractors, wishing I could be home playing with my pinball machines!

I’m guilty of thinking that she’s kinda hot for a 61 year old lady..judge Marilyn Milian..and Julia Dreyfess is/has always been pretty/underrated..

This gave me a great idea. Rig something up so that you can only use one flipper at a time. If both buttons are pressed the flipper power dies. Great way to teach newbies good habits.

Houdini has modes where 'chimp flipping' is penalized.

Or you can choose reverse and inverted for extra points.

My P3 has a mode in Lexy Lightspeed where it's impulse flippers only.

Lol! I had an engineer coming from London Ont for final inspection. I don’t mind waiting too much I get to play on Pinside while I wait!the only ones I don’t like waiting for are the ones that say “we will be there between 8am and noon” or “noon to 4”. I get other stuff done and tell them to buzz me from one of the intercoms.

Yikes. Usually when I hit the road I let them know within a 15 minute window and round up a quarter hour. Today was so craptacular I had to use words like "early afternoon" and "late morning". They didn't care I got there when I got there it wasn't anything too urgent except for late this afternoon. Then I just said, soon.

    #6872 2 years ago

Most of the contractors here have the same courtesy but we still have some who think I can sit all day waiting for them. I don’t mind some days but today was a little too busy to wait like that.

Most of my govt contracts technically they are required to watch me work and escort me around. That hardly happens anymore since they all know me so well but talk about a boring job after awhile.

Confess I am trying to help my girlfriend out with a word game that she is stuck on at the moment.

The letters are YQUREIN and we need a 5 letter word.

We have QUERY already, and URINE is not the word.

If anyone can come up with that 5 letter word for her, I will give you a whole lot of upvotes.

    Thanks!

No, a 5 letter word, and can not use the same letter 2 times, but thanks for trying.

    I think TAF sucks.

    #6881 2 years ago

I played it twice on freeplay and walked away. Never looked at it the rest of the weekend.

Confess I always think people are going to do what they say they are going to do. I am also always surprised when sometimes they don't, as I tend to do what I say I will..

    Today's cover. Bit of Supertramp.

Turns out she was right eventually.

I just discovered a drinking problem.

Callouses turning to bruising. Do you get that from beer cans Johnny?

I find TAF more fun to play than Funhouse. If I have 10 credits and these two machines to choose from, 9 are used on TAF.

30 years ago I did on my feet, when I used to stomp them with my feet.

Now I just bend them with my hand a little before putting in the recycle bag.

Confess last trip to the scrapyard to sell beer cans was AWESOME!

Got $90.00 for the same amount that used to bring $53.00.

    #6889 2 years ago

That was the word, and THANKS AGAIN for the website info also!

Confess I tell my girlfriend all the time how awesome everyone here is for being eager to help each other out anytime they can.

I will always help anytime I can.

I hope all of you have a GREAT WEEKEND!

I confess if I was going to spend $15,000 for a GTB airport I’d want some rubbers on my flipper bats and acorns on my plastic set.

    #6892 2 years ago

I confess I feel a lot better after seeing my chiropractor yesterday. Easier to breathe, walk and my neck doesn’t feel as tense. Only down side is my sinuses are clearing so my mucus kept waking me up last night. On the plus side I’ll be saving money on groceries from that in the near future.

    #6893 2 years ago

I confess to watching chiropractors on YouTube. If you've never seen a "ring dinger" by dr. Gregory Johnson of your Houston chiropractic clinic.. i suggest you check it out! Crack attics love it!

He has to have an extra zero on that price! Who would spend 15K on an airport? That game's a turd IMO.

Making a batch of green butter brownies this morning for a pinball mate. He always brings me a bud when he comes, so i'll return the favour.

Told him i was making fun for a month of Sundays for him.

Been feeling a little melancholy this evening. Even with Easter tomorrow. Though I celebrate it on the 24th.

May 9th would have been my 9 year anniversary with jjp.

My 50th anniversary party, there are a couple people that talked about coming who are no longer with us. Steve Charland and Lyman Sheats. My friend Del from the RGP days has had some health issues and likely won't make it.

I haven't heard from one friend since about December 4th. No idea what he's pissed about this time, so I doubt he and his son will make it.

Pre covid I'd hoped some of the manufacturers would attend. Maybe distributors too. And Martin from Pinball News. That doesn't seem likely now.

I really thought this year was going to be my year.

Lloyd, if everyone on pinside that loves you showed up, the room wouldn't be big enough.

Hey Lloyd - I appreciate you and all you've done for the community. There are legions who have benefitted from your efforts and advocacy. The role you've played can't be measured. Thank you.

A lot better spirits today. Running errands before I opened up I heard Johnny Horton's "Battle Of New Orleans" on the radio. Brought back the musty smell and remembrances of my father's shop in south east Minneapolis about 1959.

    Quoted from pinzrfun:

Lloyd, if everyone on pinside that loves you showed up, the room wouldn't be big enough.

We could try. The Mona Geesa Party in August of 2001 there were over 800 people through here during the day. It was so packed if I had to get in back I had to run around the building and come in the back door. Had the full Capcom line up that day.
